canberra wins with no competition. she was one of my founding villagers and stinky left a few months after the start of my island. she's top priority for a house remodel because hers is in shambles. she's now been here for close to a year and a half. i still don't know whether i'll be able to let her go!
Skye. She was my starter normal, which is funny considering I spent nearly a year looking for her back in New Leaf. Needless to say, she's never leaving, and she's going to get a much-deserved home remodel after the update hits.
I've had Colton and Reneigh for over a year and my current Raymond almost as long. I love their houses so probably won't remodel them. I don't think I have any of my starters remaining since their houses are so bad. But if I reset in the future, I might hang on to a starter since I'll know I could eventually remodel their home. When I first started playing, Muffy was my uchi villager. I was blown away when I saw her real house. Her starter house was terrible. I ended up getting her amiibo so I could invite her and have her with her real, lovely house.
For me it was Groucho, followed by Tabby and then Lucky. All three were among my first ten and stayed from April 2020 until I deleted my island around two weeks ago. Had I not restarted, I would have kept them indefinitely.
This time the title will most likely go to Piper who was my first Peppy and whom I intend to keep pretty much until the end of time since I don't plan to restart ever again.
I've found Zucker as one of my first three NMT island villagers for both my first and current islands! He is also adorable and reminds me of my boyfriend, so I love having him in my game! Definitely can't wait to give Zucker a house upgrade when HHP comes out.
Zucker and Twiggy... first lazy and peppy. I think I found them on the same day. They are still in their starter homes. I actually like their starter homes better than their real ones, so I've been really hesitant to let them go.
I think mine would have to be Rudy. Rudy was the 6th villager(?)(the first one after all the starter houses). I got lucky with him and found him on my 8th island with the purposing of looking for him. All the founders, and the villagers who had the starter houses have moved out since. I was sort of glad that he didn't get the starter house, but with the ability to, he would definitely be changing his house (I might anyways, but I'll have to decide).
I think at this point it's Apollo. I have some of my starter villagers, but I had moved them out and brought them back so they wouldn't have the starter houses anymore. Apollo was one of the first random move ins I had, which was great because he's one of my favorites of all time (and my birthday buddy).
It's a tie since I still have both of my founders on my island. (Rudy & Fuchsia)
I think I got super lucky with my founders because I found them both super adorable, and fell in love with them both right away. Rudy definitely became a permanent favorite for me. I never had him prior to that, but as soon as I saw him in game, he reminded me of my irl cat Guppy. So he's definitely never leaving my island, and I'm probably keeping him for every future game of animal crossing as well, moving forward.
My longest villager is Mac. He’s one of my starters. Everyone else on my island except Tex and Maggie were moved in as soon as I unlocked the amiibo function.
Zucker and Freckles are the villagers that have been on my island the longest, as they were both part of my first 5 villagers when starting the game, with Zucker beating out Freckles by a single day (March 23, 2020 vs. March 24, 2020). I've grown to really like both of them, so they're both permanent villagers and won't ever leave, lol
biskit, then henry. my two starters (hamlet and deirdre) moved out a long time ago. biskit is one of my original three villagers you get after that. (the other two were wendy and vesta, also long gone.) henry was my forced smug campsite villager, and he's grown on me so much that i no longer have the heart to replace him with marshal as originally intended.
I still have Renee from when I first created my island. Weirdly enough she still hasn’t asked to leave but when she does I will let her go for a villager that I want to fit my overall aesthetic.
Merry! She was one of my first five villagers and the only one left who has been there since the beginning! Currently don’t have any plans to ever left her go, but who knows what the future will bring? We’ll see, but for now she stays indefinitely.
