longest staying villager?

Genji’s been with me since I started, April 29, 2020. He was my first favorite villager, and even though I don’t consider Genji in general a favorite anymore, my Genji is my little bud and I cannot bring myself to let him go. Bangle was my original peppy, so she’s been with me nearly as long. I originally didn’t know how much I liked her and planned to let her move right away, but she grew on me to the point that I think of her as being my villager island rep.

Tabby came to my island in august 2020, and is obviously never leaving.

I've restarted my island about 3 times now and keep my dream villagers once I get them so they all kind of stay the same length lol. However!! Dom is the only villager I've had on every single one of my islands lol. He was my starter villager on my very first island and I just love him so much I can't have an island without him. TT v TT

Had I not messed up Rudy’s house twice and needed to kick him out two times, he would have been my longest staying villager since he was my starter. Now I think it is Merry. I found her island hopping. I’m not sure off hand how long she has been on my island (counting only the months I was playing the game).

Sheldon. One of my starters in my old island- wasn’t one of my dreamies but he was so cute and he grew on me. I let him leave bc his furniture was the “starter” furniture =( Now in my new island, he magically moved in with his original furniture but I’m still debating if he’ll stay forever lol

Edit: I forgot to mention Genji lol. He’s been with me since new leaf. I had really fond memories of him so he’s been on my both islands. So yeah, he’ll be staying forever =)

Vesta. I did a villager trade with a member on here and I took her with me when I reset my Island over a year ago. Even though Dom was my starting villager and still in his original house it’s still Vesta.

I still have my first 9 villagers. Phoebe (Sisterly) and Genji (Jock) were my starters. I got Hopkins (original Lazy) from a Mystery Island and Nana (Normal) and Audie (Peppy) as random move-ins, those were my three from Tom Nook's plots. I got Graham (Smug) as my first campsite visitor. I got Fang (Cranky) from a Mystery Island and summoned Whitney (Snooty) with amiibo. Then I invited Skye (another Normal) from a Mystery Island as my 9th villager.

I've only cycled out my 10th villager, which is Dobie right now. I've had Dobie since January this year. Might replace him with Wolfgang eventually because Wolfgang is one of my favorites. I love all my villagers, and it's always been hard for me to let any go. So glad we don't have to worry about villagers moving out randomly in New Horizons.

Dom was my starter jock villager, so he's been part of my island since the day ACNH dropped! The second villager who's been in the town the longest is Sherb. Both of them have starter houses that I'm super excited to redecorate with the DLC. Although I'd say Dom's house looks a bit nicer than poor Sherb's!

Mac was my first dream villager. I acquired him via Amiibo and he’s been here the longest! I’m a huge fan of Mac!

Sherb! he was my Tutorial Lazy; he and Ed are my only remaining Tutorial Villagers i've still got since i'm attached to them, and I'm never letting them leave lol so Sherb's been here the longest and he'll be on my island for a really long time.

I had Curly since day one, and kept him on my island for about 18 months. Then, in order to update his starter house, I got his amiibo and sent him on a vacation for a few days until I could invite him back. Technically, he did leave, but now he is back with a better interior and I am so happy to still have him.

Stitches 1 of my favorites was the 2nd or 4th time I went to an island hunting for villagers. He became my first main stay and is still with me.

I've had Agnes on my island since the day the game came out, so her for sure. I still also have Piper and Punchy on my island though, the first two villagers I found on mystery islands

I've had Audie on my island the longest, I got her a month after the game released and have brought her over to my new islands as I have reset a couple times now.

I honestly don't remember if you start with two or three villagers, but mine were Phoebe, Antonio and Felicity. Antonio is the only one who have left the island (replaced by His Quackiness Bill).

I still have both of my starters, Biff and Canberra. I’d liked Canberra in ACNL, and I’m fond of hippos like Biff, so when I got them as my starters at launch, I decided they were staying for the foreseeable future. I tend to get attached to my villagers though, so I hardly ever let anyone move. The only move out I’ve had was Chops, my first camper. Other than that, I still have the five tutorial villagers, four from Amiibo cards, and one from the campsite. I can’t see myself wanting to get rid of any of them, so being able to fix their interior decorating as needed will be nice.

Phoebe! She was my starter uchi villager and it worked out great because i really didnt like her actual house interior (volcano) and because my island is an all bird island.
