idk
I expect to see features from Pocket Camp introduce into Animal Crossing Switch, but definitely not in the same way. I'm sure they'll modify them to not be P2W. I seriously doubt microtransactions would ever be introduced in a mainline Animal Crossing game, or really any non-mobile Nintendo game. As far as I'm aware, Nintendo has never added microtransactions to any of their non-mobile games and I'm sure they'll continue to do so given the massive amounts of backlash that typically come with them.
I don't really see the issue with having to pay for new fighters. It's not like the content was created before-hand and abstained for later just to make extra money like how some scummy developers do. A lot of thought and time goes into developing each and every character so it makes sense that we're charged for it.
Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee weren't mainline Pokemon games whereas this upcoming Animal Crossing game is. So unless the devs have completely lost their minds, there's a 0% chance of this happening.
I didn't bother to spend any shekels on the new smash, this new mainline game is the only thing im looking forward to. if they try to put microtransactions into this switch game, ill be really disappointed

Also, with the way they are handling some of the characters in smash (adding game packs for more money to buy, a total sims EA approach) i wont be surprised if there is microtransactions... but still, disappointed

I don't play Pocket Camp but don't mind if it connects to it. My fear is that they'll do what they did with Let's go Pikachu/Eevee and remove a lot of the game's core elements.
