I have completed the maze- It took me about an hour to do because I really suck at stuff like that.

I'm really happy that they changed up the maze and the prize this year. I was very happy to see Rover's photo in my mailbox the next day.
It's a cute and quick event with a good prize so I enjoyed it. Only thing is I suck at challenges like that, so it took me forever.

I had to attempt the maze 6 times before finally getting everything right and getting all the bell vouchers.

Here's me and Rover looking over the horizon... Tried not to talk to him immediately.

I tried the maze last night on my second island. I got to Rover on the third try and realized I could get to the bell vouchers. So I figured out what I did wrong and reset it and was able to get the bell vouches. She got the briefcase since this island was created in January. I still have to try the maze with my alt character from this island and both from my main island. My main island rep and alt should both get Rovers photo.

Haha, it took me at least five tries. In my defence, I went ploughing into it trying to subconsciously follow all the same rules as last year, forgetting that there's now a ladder thrown in the mix. I am very much not a puzzle person!

i got lost in the maze multiple times! it's definitely a harder maze than last year's.

Finished it today and I enjoyed it. I'm glad they've updated the maze and the reward (if it's your 2nd time doing May Day). This is definitely a "first" in the series (them updating the seasonal events each year). It's refreshing and nice. I'm still upset about the lackluster update we got, but at least there's a silver lining.

This was a lot of fun! I got it on my third try, bell vouchers and all. I accidentally hit the rocks with the shovel twice, so I was a little worried it would break before I could reach the vouchers, but it didn't!

Still wish I could have received Rover's Photo (and experienced the previous maze). I hope they bring it back in the future, just for those of us who'd like to experience everything that's been in the game.

Do you not get your bell vouchers immediately in your mailbox? I got all nine but nothing was waiting for me in the mail. I know Rover’s Photo comes the next day, but I assumed the bells wouldn’t take that long

My Rover photo arrived in a gold frame rather than a natural frame, which is the first time the default for any villager or NPC standard-sized villager picture has been in anything but a natural wood frame [not counting Jack's picture since it's more of a poster]. Is this random or did everyone get the gold customization? I know we can customize afterwards, just thought it was interesting!

I think it took me maybe 5 times until I actually got it right. I kept eating my fruit and impulsively using it in the first spot my brain thought of, which did not bode well for me.

My character was nakey for the entire maze because I didn’t know it would take away our wand outfits

After reading this thread, I went slow and was pleasantly surprised to get everything on my first attempt. I'm glad they brought back the event. Having little unique events like this with good rewards is the type of thing I wish the game did more regularly.

I gave it a 6/10.

I liked that it was something new to do and that the maze was different from last year.
However, I found it became frustrating quickly with having to reset completely with ever mistake you make. I had to reset about 3 times and it was just annoying by the end of it.

I didnt find resetting annoying at all in the concept of it. Its fine to fail and try again.
But the fact it cost me miles and took so much talking to do it... yeah it sucked big time

That was more the bit that annoyed me to be honest. It cost a bunch miles and was just a faff to sit through all the unnecessary dialogue. Like, just let me restart and try again. Its time consuming enough going through the maze without then having to sit through all the word vomit from the Rangers and Dodo Flights

Exactly. If you're going to make something that's designed to be failed... let trying again be quick and easy.

I loved the maze. I actually really love May Day because it turns AC into a sort of puzzle adventure for a brief moment lol. I had a lot of fun. I actually found it more challenging than last year's version. I had to restart quite a few times, whereas last year I only restarted once, just so I could get all the tickets. I think I had to restart around 8 times this time around. Kinda sucks that you don't get a briefcase this time.. I was hoping for more. But still, I enjoyed myself!
