"Melody wins the second lesson." Shady said. ACE ran across, not caring as where to step. Thankfully, he put his arms and legs between two spikes to keep from falling any further and/or dying. "Help! HELP!" ACE called out. Shady flicked his fingers and ACE appeared next to Melody and himself. "Now for the most important and hard lesson of all... Breakfast!" Shady said happily. ACE and the others fell to the ground, annoyed. The five began to eat breakfast together near a tree.

Melody walked around SongTown, doing the usual grass and flower growing. She stopped to rest under a tree and read her book for a while. That night she went to sleep easily.
They trained for the next 3 months, until it was time to fight the time spirit in Undead Town.

"Hooray!" Melody jumped up and down. She grabbed her backpack and her mom's bag. "Come on mom!" Her mom followed everyone on the train, and it took off. A few hours later they stepped off the train.

Melody sat down on a rotten tree stump and looked around. Suddenly, she was standing up again. She sat back down, then stood back up. She took out her walkie talkie. "Guys, it's near me." She took it out again. "Guys, it's near me." Melody ran away from it, and everyone ran to her. "It makes you do things over again."
"It makes you do things over again." Melody vine whipped it, but it made her stop, and vine whip herself. "Ow!" She rose up on a sunflower. "ACE! Say the spell!"

"Okay, I'll say it! Okay, I'll say it!" ACE grabbed the book that appeared on the ground. He turned to the page and started chanting the spell. "Time is an illusion, it has no beginning and end, it's circular and wide, and now I send. Begone!" ACE said. The time spirit exploded into a lot of stardust. ACE fell to the ground, his leg broken. "AH!!!" ACE yelled in pain. Shady ran over to ACE. He put his hand on ACE's leg. In a couple minutes, ACE stood up as if he was fine. "Fire is not just destruction. It can also heal." Shady said. "Let's head home." Shady added. The time gem fell into ACE's hand. He put it in the ultimate book, in the slot it went in, next to the slot the death gem was in.

Melody followed everyone to the train, walking behind a bit. She sensed something. Something nearby, near ACE. "ACE! Look out!" Melody yelled, as soon as the time spirit appeared with an explosion of stardust. "You sure are silly." It said. "Thinking you could defeat me, just like that? That made me more powerful! You said the wrong spell! BAHAHA! Watch what I can do to Miss Forest over here!" The time spirit flew into Melody, controlling her. He made ACE have a broken leg again. "With the power of this princess and myself, I can rule the world!" It cackled. "No you won't..." Melody said, but soon cackled again. "Fighting my power is useless!"
Shady healed ACE again. "Looks like we're going to have to beat this guy the old fashioned way." ACE said, smacking his fist into his hand. "Sorry, Melody, nothing personal! I have to beat the correct spell out of that spirit!" ACE added. He went up to Melody being controlled by the time spirit and began punching her really fast with a million punches in ten seconds that was un-dodge-able. "Close Earth Combat!" ACE said, continuing. He jumped back. "How did you like that?" ACE said, panting. ACE took out an ancient book and said a spell that made the time spirit come out of Melody. Normally, the time spirit could dodge it easily, but ACE had weakened it enough to where he finished the spell. The time spirit came out of Melody and took shape in the form of a clock warrior.

Melody fell to the ground, still awake. She wasn't hurt by ACE's punches. She watched as the time spirit slowly rewound time so he was back into Melody's body. "No you don't..." Melody used her magic to get him out of her body, because he was so weak. "You'll never defeat me! I can still rewind time and..." He paused and grinned. "tell the future. You know, princess..." He went over to Melody. "in a month's time, you'll break up with Mr. Air Prince over there, and the prophecy will be incomplete, leaving me and my spirit friends still alive by a thread, getting stronger by the second." Melody almost had tears in her eyes, but laughed. "Do you think I will believe that? You're a nasty spirit, someone should slap you." Melody made a huge hand out of vines and squished him with it. He was barely alive. "Say it ACE! It's the one that wasn't there before, on the very bottom!" Melody yelled.
ACE began to chant the correct one. "Time, you do not belong here. You don't control what happens to us. We control what happens to us. Begone!" ACE said. The time spirit disappeared into nothing this time. The real time gem fell into ACE's hand this time. He put it in the ultimate book slot, next to the slot the death gem was in. Shady lead them back towards the train.

"Glad that's over." Melody sighed. "Glad that's over." Everyone looked around, panicked, including Shady. "Just kidding, guys." She laughed. Shady stared daggers at her. Her mom was waiting at the train station. "I'm so proud of you guys!" She said. "Defeating that time spirit." Soon, everyone was back at SongTown. Melody felt a warm feeling in her tiara and touched it. The book appeared in her hands. She read, "The storm spirit will be in Forest Town in 3 months." She looked up. "Forest Town! Too many trees will die if we don't defeat it! The book also says Blu will have to say the spell. The spell isn't in the book yet."

"I guess you guys better get back to my training lessons then." Shady said. "Alright, be at the same place at 5:00 A.M. again tomorrow, sharp." He added. And with that, Shady went to his house, shutting the door.

"We just defeated the time spirit! Can't we rest for a few days!?" Melody groaned. She walked to her house, unpacked her stuff, and made dinner for everyone. She went to the pyramid and Blu's house, and told them to come over. Half an hour later, she went to Shady's house. "There's dinner at my house." She walked away, and in 5 minutes Shady was there. He noticed everyone had cake. "Could I have some cake?" He asked. "Nope. You have to have dirt cake." Melody grinned. "Why!?" He asked angrily. "Because you're not letting us have a rest after we defeated the time spirit." She grinned even more. "Fine." Shady said. "Training starts in 2 days, 5 am sharp. Now give me some cake." Melody handed him some cake, the slice with the least sprinkles. He scowled and ate it all in two bites.
"Oh, did I say two days? I still meant tomorrow, 4:00 A.M. sharp, for trying to bribe me." Shady said, after eating his cake. With that, he went to his house, locked the door, and went to sleep. Everyone else groaned at Melody. "You could have just accepted it." ACE said, annoyed.

"Eh." Melody shrugged. "It was worth the look on his face." After everyone left, she went into bed and set her alarm. The next morning, she got up at 3am. She ate breakfast, washed her face, and brushed her teeth. She walked to the spot at 3:30. Shady wasn't there. She sat under a tree and read the book until Shady came. He rose the course without noticing her. 5 minutes before 4, she stood up and walked over. "Hey Shady." He jumped. "EEK! -cough- Good morning Melody. You're up early." She smiled and sat down until everyone else came. She ran through the course, same thing as last time, except winning a minute before everyone else this time. She won the bridge, too, this time it changing every minute. Shady was shocked. "How did you do that?" He asked. "Pure skill." She smiled. Shady pouted and went back to his house.
Shady came back from his house. "I have new lessons that are more hard." Shady said. He pressed a button and the cliffs grew further apart. A very narrow balance beam connect between them that was impossible to walk or fly across. "Let's see if any of you can complete this, though I doubt it. It's only for advanced elements of royalties." He added.
