In light of all the news and discussion about how the update may affect rare bug spawn rates and turnip prices w/ time manipulation, making bells is probably on the top of a lot of players, including my, minds.

What tricks have you been using to make money? Has anyone used crafting to make money? What kind of strategies do y'all have?

Tbh things are hard since the start of April, I miss emperor butterfly and football fish haha I hope May is nicer to us. Right now the strat is atlas moth and hermit crabs at night!

If you dont have problems with going on island tours, it's the same strat as tarantulas, but you dont cut the coconut trees. Otherwise, just going around and checking on your trees.

I had two good weeks of selling turnips (making almost 3m bells), but my main source of income is and has always been fruit. I always have a considerable amount of foreign fruit trees, so I can have a continuous production.

But, even in NL, I was never a wealthy player. Although in NH we do have a lot more things to pay for (especially when we're moving houses and terraforming), I think once we get past this phase of moving buildings around, we'll have no need for a ridiculously huge amount of money in the bank.

Unless bells become the main currency in online trading (which I don't believe will happen) instead of NMTs, the need for an astronomical amount of cash won't even exist.

I've been doing stalk market. I have made quite a large amount of money from selling turnips in my town and other people's town. I lucked out with a 580 / turnip price this week, but I don't think I'll be seeing a spike like that for awhile.

Stalk market, selling crafted items (especially the hot items), and fish and bugs are the primary ways I make money. I save all high value fish and bugs for CJ/Flick, but I sell the rest to T&T. Getting a bunch of bait and fishing at the dock works well thanks to oarfish, blue marlin, and tuna. Blue marlin and tuna are going away at the end of the month though. Going to miss that.

Also, look for your shiny spot every day and bury 10k bells in the hole. You're guaranteed to get 30k from it 4 days later. If you bury higher amounts, you only have a 30% chance of making a profit, so I'd suggest just putting in the 10k, which is 100% guaranteed.

Well, I've made around 8m profit off of turnips this week by going over another forum user's island. Today my younger brother TTd to Sunday and sold to one of our friends that had around 500+ prices and made around 10M with a couple of trips (Totally legit lol) I'd recommend finding someone with high prices and then TTing to Sunday and all you gotta do from there is just keep buying and offloading. Easy peasy money and you'll be getting your cat in glasses in no time!
