Oops, sorry, another post about the terminology from a newbie.
I was hoping someone could explain a few things for me again: cycling, plot resetting, and voiding. I have the gist of cycling but I'm still quite confused, I have no idea what plot resetting is, and I saw the term "voiding" on a cycling thread.
I'm sorry, I hope this doesn't bother anyone! I would just really like some answers.

cycling: basically its like tting to get villagers to move out faster.

plot resetting: resetting your town so the place where a villager set their plot- or where they moved in-changes, so it doesn't destroy roads or anything. the process of this is to, on the day someone is expected to move in, not sign into a preexisting character at all that day, but to instead make a new character. then, with that new character, you look around the town and see where the villager set their plot. if you like it, you place that character's house down and save and quit, then delete the character (unless you want to keep the character). if you don't like it, you reset, get back on, make a new character, and repeat. there's also "campsite resetting" which is basically the same thing except checking the campsite to see which villager is there, and if you don't like them, resetting to get someone else, until you get a villager you want.

voiding: when a villager moves away and isn't given to someone else. edit** I realized I phrased this confusingly. villagers can be given to someone else if that person has space and they come over when the villager is in boxes and ask the villager to move to their town. if the villager moves out without anyone asking them to come to their town, they are "voided."

Cycling is when you use your town expressly to move villagers in and out efficiently in order to get desired villagers once or more through the 16 villager cycle. This is often done with a second copy. I think plot resetting is when you make a new character in order to reset the location of a fresh villagers plot. Voiding is when a villager moves out to no where, which happens when they aren't sold or adopted. These villagers show up on main street and you cannot get the same villlager again until you've had 16 other villagers move in and out.
