Guys I was really into acnl and restarted my town and THEN i missed Pinky and Pecan's birthday (they are 9/9 and 9/10 o_O)... Now I don't want to play 'cause I feel so bad lol. it sounds ridiculous but... yeah... I need people to motivate me to keep on playing because i like acnl so much but I'm really bad at maintaining my town. Never make me the mayor of something in rl, people. Not that anybody ever would.

Um so yeah... If people need motivation too they can read this article and it may help ^-^
Probably nobody has my problem though lol...

ANYWAYS BYE PLEASE RESPOND EVEN THOUGH IT SOUNDS WEIRD :p
{this is supposed to be in this thread right?}

Would changing some of your villagers help you to get back into it? I find having some new faces in town can sometimes help. I used to feel like I had to play every day at one point, that just wasn't sustainable and I started to lose interest and get bored. Now I tend to take regular breaks and just remember the day I last played. Then I tt back to the current date when I know it's safe to do so.
After every break I tend to make some sort of changes to my town, right now I'm wanting some different villagers (just swapping out a couple) and I'm going to demolish several projects and move them around. Maybe do new paths. Could you perhaps do the same? Or give yourself an objective to complete. I've just recently finished the museum and that was a great achievement, you haven't even got to wait if you've missed some insects or fish from a previous month, just do some saw tt'ing to get them. I normally get through about a week in one day with tt'ing now. Just keeps it interesting

oh I might time travel! i think im going to strive to get a dream town thing :p
I just want dirt paths and idek how ;p

dont play. you'll lose ur fave villager and ur town will be sad.

You could try setting your town to Beautiful Town even if you're trying to make a lot of money so you'd rather keep the Bell Boom. At least if you do end up taking a break, you won't be as worried about coming back to a lot of weeds. Just try to remove things that make you feel stressed out, and it should be a bit easier to pick things up when you have moments of anxiety.

Get the Beuaifful Town ordinance going and take a break. I don't play much either, but I'm planning to get back into it after a long break. It's good to have other interests.

Maybe it's time to change some stuff up, I like to set goals like getting certain villagers, orginize my closest, finish up a catalog garden, re make your house redo your look ^w^

There is a chance the villagers forget that you forgot (it happens to me a lot when I have to go somewhere urgently) and you can resume relations as normal. If not, there is an update coming, and you could get the amiibo if you really want those Villagers.

Make your new mission to grow gold roses. That has definitely made me continue to play every day. Plus I play pokemon so I find ways to earn tbt in acnl to get cool pokemon from this thread to put in my games. This forum has got me hooked to three videogames all at once (acnl, pokemon y, pokemon as)

dont feel bad, pinky and pecan are robots they dont care either way :}

^ Yup! Beaides, I don't really like gifting them items for their birthday anymore as it changes their homes and ends up being harder to fix. I used to do that but not anymore. Also tt-ing back to their birthday is a good idea if it really bothers you.
As far as being bored, I agree with Link, it's good to change villagers up to keep it exciting. I would suggest maybe having a couple of non dreamies in town and swap them out for other characters when you're tired of them.

Think how much fun it is to play with everyone and do some peaceful fishing, or go to the shop, sort out your house, plant some hybrid patches!
