I love both but I'll choose books. It's magical for me whenever I read. I visualize everything in my head and get lost in the story. I love movies too but books I can bring with me everywhere. :3
Books. I do like watching the movies after I read them though. I usually think the book was better, however I liked the BFG book, but enjoyed the movie more.
From the both I'd choose books, but I do prefer watching TV series. I just like long stories that expand greatly, I'm not really too worried about the medium.
i would have to choose movies . when i'm reading a book i envision a movie . i love how you can show the viewer what you want them to see with a camera , and in film you could reveal things that were hidden to the viewer or use music and images where nobody has to talk to stir an emotion . you could do the basically the same with books , but movies generally have a bigger impact on me personally
I enjoy watching movies more than reading books. It's easier to see the movies as you can finish them within a few hours. Reading books takes a while to finish them. But you can use your imagination more for books. As for movies, they are already there.
Depends on my mood, but you can really go in depth into characters and storylines with books. If it was TV shows vs books though, that would be more difficult
I prefer books because the content is closer to what the author intended it to be. I mean, editors will still change things about the book to make it more appealing to more readers, but movies based on books tend to be really different, and not in a good way.
after my depression set in i had a lot of trouble motivating myself to even read at all, and now i still have a very hard time reading. i can really only read graphic novels.
however, i dont really like movies so much either, but ive been going to more with my friends. i find movies to be a more social experience than reading, so ill pick movie due to my experiences with friends.
