I cannot do any kind of work and listen to music at all. I can have like, TV or a YouTube Let's Play going on, though. The music distracts me so hardcore and I honestly like, wanna sing and dance lmao. I try putting on something I've already watched so it doesn't distract me nearly as hard!

I can't do any music while studying or doing homework! The music I listen to is always very loud/ has lyrics/ very distracting haha. I usually only use music while working on art~

I would never listen to music if I was studying for something, it's just much too distracting to focus on absorbing all of that lame information in and have music playing at the same time. You sometimes also end up swingin' your arms around like a crazy person when listening to music. (at least I do)

While studying I do listen to music but it's for me to be calm and not feel stressed out because usually when I study I get headache but listening to music I don't get headache and focus well

I work better with music or sound of any kind, be it TV, people talking IRL, whatever.

My sister however needs complete silence to concentrate.

I can't always focus with music on. Sometimes it's got to be the right kind of music. When I'm writing an essay I normally need calm, relaxing, instrumental music on (so I usually listen to the Stardew Valley soundtrack or something then). But if I'm just practicing writing Kanji or writing stuff in Japanese then I can listen to any music as the lyrics don't really distract me.

It depends. Sometimes listening to music can help me focus and get into the mood to work. Other times it just distracts me, so I can't really give just a yes or no answer.

There has been a scientific study that proves it's harder to focus while listening to music due to the fact that your brain is analyzing the music while you're trying to study

Wtf? If I ever did that I would never be able to concentrate lol

The only few times I ever listened to music while working on school stuff was when I had to finish coloring something for art class (back when all I had was a walkman hehe) but other than that, no.
