pop & k-pop but i mean idk

i did like country music but it just got kind of bland & old

Satanic music for sure, just ritualistic chanting and demonic moans and growls mostly, with the moist plop of organs hitting dirt and fire roaring... memories...

Uh, also I really enjoy "chill" music, like I have no idea what you'd call my musical taste, but I love Regina Spektor, The Postal Service, Mumford and Sons, idk just "chill" music. *shrugs*

On the pop/rock side I primarily like music from the 1960s/70s. It's not to say that good music hasn't been made since. It's just that instrumentation comprises a large part of my enjoyment of music, and the 60s/70s hit the spot. I don't much care for synths, drum machines, whatever they use that makes today's music so electronic (autotune included. Yuck).

My favorites are Soft Rock, Soul/R&B, Progressive/Psychedelic rock, and British Folk. Outside of the 60s/70s I sometimes like some Punk/Ska Punk and some Pop/rock from the early 00s (probably because I'm nostalgic for it, I was a teenager back then). And Fleet Foxes whatever they are.

In terms of classical, I really like Early Music, Baroque, Classic, and French Impressionism.

Joking about "satanic music". It's a religion just like Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Sikhism, et cetera.

But even Christian music always has an actual genre that artist fits into and is first and foremost advertised under because "having Christian themes" isn't a specific enough aspect for people to say "I like Christian music" with any degree of accuracy. Grouping it under such a broad term is essentially saying 'As I Lay Dying' and 'Faith +1' are both one and the same solely because of religious themes despite being entirely different musically...

Nobody categorizes or seeks out music like that, and even those that might will still always gravitate towards certain genres whilst ignoring others, which only really furthers my point.

Yes, 'Faith +1' as in the joke christian rock band from South Park. I don't know the names of any actual christian bands that aren't metal.
I didn't say a genre, I said type.

Genre = type...Even your own poll backs this up, mostly consisting of genre titles.

'Satanic' 'Christian' and 'instrumental' are more just terms to further narrow down the search among genres, the same way 'female vocalist' is a way to narrow down a search rather than a general statement to say you like both 'Arch Enemy' and the 'Veronica's'.

Satanic music is a type of music.

But what exactly? Black metal? Heavy metal? Thrash metal? Rock? Rap? Hip hop? Country? Bittunes? TV jingles? Bird song? Whale song? Redneck blowing in a jug? Chanting around a fire dressed in robes, throwing around goat heads and chanting to a virgin being sacrificed?

Are all those the same thing as long as Satan is involved somehow?

Country music does not go under Satanic...

But what if it has Satanic lyrics, or the guitar is made from a goats skull, or Satan himself is literally playing the song?

I was just going to click the 'satanic music' box and assume jokingly that it was metal, but then I saw you were being serious and don't understand what exactly you're getting at here.

I've been on a reggae kick these past couple of months. An on-off interest for the past 15 years.

Rock, pop, classical, jazz, movie and video game soundtracks.... Lots of things. I have a ridiculously large music collection that covers many genres.

I listen to rock and metal but voted satanic music cuz some bands that i listen to fit that description. Especially Ghost which is one of my favorite bands that has a satanic theme. My favorites are Guns N' Roses,, Marilyn Manson,, Ghost,, Led zeppelin,, Black sabbath. Im gonna see 4 of those live this year so I'm pretty lucky. :) I also like Pink floyd,, Muse,, Bring me the horizon,, etc. and alot of other random genres that aint mainstream pop music from nowadays. Mostly I like playing along to them on my guitar or flute or just sing to them instead of just listening to them though.

Edit: I decided that I didn't want anyone to know, I went for 'other' if you were curious.

Voted electronic, since I listen to a lot of trance and techno.

I also like rock, pop, video game OSTs, and soothing Chinese music. c:

You can usually find me driving down the road blasting heavy satanic music making my car vibrate from the bass. You can especially find me driving past churches and graveyards. bonus if the graveyard is next to a church.

satanic music, that's funny

i mostly listen to aggrotech, dance punk, EDM in general though i really like minimal synth and digital hardcore, new and dark wave, goth, psychobilly, horror punk, cabaret, pc music's stuff

Just about everything. It's weeding through the crap in any genre that's tedious and annoying.

I love this thread! MUSIC IS LIFE. Music is emotion, music is your friend, music is always there for you even when your friends or family might not be able to be. For the best times of your life, for the worst, and everything in between, there is a type of music or a certain song that will share that emotion with you. I could type quite a bit more about music, different kinds, live music, playing it, listening to it, but for now:

I would love if every single board member jumped on board with...

B...A...B...Y...M...E...T...A...L!

Now if you survived that life changing chaos, and wonder what could possibly be next, the answer is: GIVE...ME........CHOCOLATE.

This band & this music goes perfect with Animal Crossing.
