I definitely play to have a main street where all the non-villager houses are right next to each other. I usually have my main villager far away from everyone and through the magic of terra-forming, I plan to have his house on a hill. I'll need to see what furniture series are available before I create other human villagers. In the previous games, I've had more than one player character because there's so much furniture I like to display, more than what one house can show. Thankfully we can move houses and other structures whenever we want and wherever we want, even if the ability is unlockable.
I'm planning to divide my island into different parts relative to a mythology. So I think I'll choose villagers in function (Marshal should be a good Ratatoskr, Ankha and Ramses for egyptian part...) and of course I'll move their house into the good place. So I think my villagers are going to be scattered all over the map !
Maybe not so much of a neighbourhood but little clusters of 1 or 2 homes spread out, so they can have their own yards and decor around it! In New Leaf I went with the neighbourhood layout with two large groups of villagers, but now I think it'd be nice to have a bit of a stroll between all of their homes - like they're all nestled away in a forest! :3
I'd rather do groups of two or three houses instead of actual neighborhoods. The one thing I want to avoid is having villagers living in semi-isolation, so there are always going to be at least two villagers living close to each other, whether they like it or not lol.
yes, possibly. i have so many ideas for my island and i can't make up my mind but i will most likely put at least a few villagers in the same area, possibly on a road/path so it's like a little street.
I think I might end up having mini-neighborhoods around. Two or three. This time, I think I want some animal neighbors instead of getting my house completely alone like it was in New Leaf.
