Neighbors Won't Drop Toy Day Hints

No matter how many times I talk to my neighbors, they won't talk about what they want for Toy Day. They talk about Toy Day itself and wrapping presents, but nothing about themsekves. Any suggestions?

There are no toy day hints so to speak. You do not have to gift them anything specific from what I have read on this board.

If you look up Mayor Mori on YouTube, he explains the toy day event this year. As above don't worry about specific gifts.

And based on someone here who played it through somehow, the villagers presents aren’t real items so they don’t mess with their inventories

There are two parts to Toy Day. The info for the first part came out last week, the info for the second part just came out today.

1. The Jingle event (no prep needed)

2. Exchanging gifts with villagers (separate from the event but special dialogue for Toy Day). It appears they don't have favorite gifts, so I'm guessing any gift should work.

I just gifted them ornaments. They were happy to get them and I don't have have to worry about their homes being ruined.
