New and Returning Villager Tier

Ione and Sasha are my obvious top picks from the new villagers and I just love Azalea's design for some reason. Chabwick.. I just don't like him and I don't even have the words for why. My heart just says he's D tier. Everyone else can be in the middle.

Subject to change. I used S-D as a scale but I don’t hate any of these.
i was tempted to give shino her own tier since i love her so much, but here’s how i rank everyone atm! this’ll probably change once i actually start meeting the new villagers, but here we are. :’)
i also wasn’t expecting to rank chabwick so highly, but my brain went “
” as soon as i looked at the picture of him, so it seems that he’s the new loml LOL.

tier S villagers are most likely coming to aldertree, but not so sure about the others - i don't know their personalities except from chabwick's, iona's and sasha's heh-
For now it's something like this.
But, as I always say, I have to see their animations in game to really know if I like a villager or not, it can make a huge difference for me.
(And it's also interesting to see their houses interior/exterior, that gives us clues about their mindsets and tastes)

None of them are horrible, but I don't really care for most of them. I like to give my islanders a fitting place on my island and I only feel inspired when looking at Petri and Faith.
I want to make a big stargazing area (as soon as Celeste finally gives me the diys I want) and I feel like putting Petri's house up there would be pretty cool - not sure what the inside looks like yet but when I get far enough in HHP I can make it lab-like/study-like.
For Faith, I'd love to put her on the beach with a tropical vibe and a juice bar.

Shino dropped way down for me when I found out she was a peppy, otherwise she'd be S tier. And Sasha dropped one tier for me when I found out he was a lazy instead of a jock, otherwise he'd definitely be S tier.

So I'm going to be honest with this list:
(I really don't like Shino, period.)
(I really don't like Shino, period.)
Shino is perfect and that's all there is to it. I don't care how unbalanced and peppy my island is going to be because of her personality I simply must have her.
Ione almost made it to S rank too.
Never thought I'd see myself giving a monkey an A rank but he's the monkey king!
I feel really bad about having to give an octopus such an average score but I just do not like robot villagers.
S: the only villager I will probably be looking for
A: I will not hunt for them but if I find them I will probably invite them
B: I will not invite them but if they come via autofill it's okay
C: I really hope I will not have them via autofill
D: I'll cry if they come via autofill
My Tier Ranking
S-rank: These four are my favourites and definite invites.
The first two, Shino and Tiansheng, are going to be perma-residents because of my plan of making an Eastern themed island. I love their overall designs so much! (Only 3 days away!)
The other two are fantastic designs. Ione would be great with Julian. Cephalobot would be great if I had Ribbot and Sprocket on the island. These two aren't permas but they would be on my island for several months.
A: These three are great additions. I really like their designs and they'll be on my island for awhile, but I won't have any issue if they move out. Of the three, I like Sasha the best. He/she is the best design, in my opinion.
B: No opinion of these. The designs are ok. All of them are returning villagers, I think. I would only invite them on a whim. Frett, the dog, is my favourite out of all of them.
C: These are not for my tastes. Designs could be better but I don't dislike them. Most of them are returning villagers so that's pretty cool. Again, only on a whim would I make an invitation. Out of all them, the one I would most linely invite is Petri. The problem with Petri is that she is mouse, a species I'm not too keen on. I may get her only for her picture.
D: Not a fan of this design. Likely no invite. Nothing personal but I'm not too fond of anteaters. Its a very hot-cold species. I either like some of the designs or I heavily dislike them. This one is the latter.

i need either shino or petri on my islands. the koala (forgot the name) is cute tbh. i don't think Ione is that great but she's cool so that's why i put her at a B ranking.
(I also tried to order each tier)
S - my favorites, definitely planning to get on my island
A - love their design/concept, but they're probably not going to become dreamie status for me
B - Same as above love their designs, just slightly prefer A, but B tier is super cool too
C - Designs are nice but just kinda neutral about em
D - honestly Zoe is more C tier because I do like her design, I just kinda felt bad for putting Frett there all by himself.... But yeah... Frett. I appreciate his dad vibes, but there's just something about him I find unsettling... He just kinda creeps me out if I'm being honest. Sorry Frett fans ! ;-;
