I don't really see AC as something that would work as a PokemonGo type of thing. Yokai Watch however would make so much sense considering that the Yokais are hidden spirit beings that can only be seen by a special device.

they did say that it might or will connect to an animal crossing game though which is basically teasing that theres gonna eb a new game out

Josh Thomas of the Bit Block talked about it, I'm similar to him on it, a free to play game where you can get stuff by paying for it kind of defeats the purpose of playing Animal Crossing everyday in hopes that the item is in the shop- or trading with friends. I hope they don't do that and maybe you pay for particular villagers, that I wouldn't mind since that random villager can be a pain to get when there's one, two, thirty, villagers you love! I hope they don't screw it up, and put some actual thought into it, the last we need is another Amiibo Festival type game that only goes for the money, and leaves the core behind.
