New Item Ideas

I can't be the only one with Pinterest boards full of ideas for New Horizons. Coming across a few images, I wondered whether they would ever introduce 'infastructure' type items to decorate the island; and of different styles, such as modern, traditional and nature, etc. For example, it would be great to have telephone poles to place around.

I'm not sure if they already will do it, but you know how picked flowers display as potted flowers in your house? It would be nice to place those around for a little container garden. Maybe around an outdoor table or in front of a building.

My furniture ideas that I want to see are basically furniture that can display other smaller furniture in ways we haven’t seen before. For example, I want floor/standing hangers and wall hangers that can hang models of our bags and clothes! Also shelves that can display a few smaller items. Eg. In new leaf they have the “flower display case” which I thought would be cool if it was actually just an empty display case where we can put items inside instead of having premade items/flowers displayed.

ฅ(? ﾛ ? ฅ)ﾊｯOMIGOSH! What a wonderful idea!!! So we can set a theme and mould our islands around that and then set the ordinance we want (if they come back) and hopefully we could use more than one!!!

For me, I'd love to be able to have potted plants un-potted and growable so we can just grow them in our gardens and create hybrids! I'd also love to have Cacao trees as my native town fruit! (? ꈊ ?)✧︎˖?ｵﾎｯ!

It would be awesome to buy/craft shelves to store items on, I hope we can put items on cupboards and bookshelves since it's such a waste of free space since no object can be placed on it, why would they do this? え～ん(艸_U`*)ﾟ｡
I hope there will be a Gyroid crafting shop where we can create our own Gyroids!
We could design their colour/face/height/size/sound and rhythm!
It would be cool to alter the sounds.?٩(*? ꒳ `*)۶?ﾌﾚｰﾌﾚｰ♪︎
I would live to have Gyroids outside to welcome my guests with their quirky little sounds!

It would be nice to use the idea returnofsaturn had about decorating trees! I'd love to use those little lotus lights to decorate them! Maybe, since we can completely uproot them and put them in our pockets/bags we can take them to Cyrus and tell him how we want to decorate them? He could probably even make them miniature? Enleft had an idea about changing the size of items, and this made me think about all the things we could change! What if we could enlarge the trees too?! (⌯︎?̴̶̷̀ω?̴̶̷́)✧︎

I really like this idea. That would provide so many possibilities for garden landscaping.

i know it probably won't happen but i'd like more items that go into or interact with the water in general. looking at hacked towns with plants and rocks and weeds placed inside rivers always made the world feel more alive and natural. i like the water wheel idea above a lot.

an animal crossing pipe dream of mine is to be able to swim in the rivers, all the way up to the waterfalls, and find hidden caves just beyond sight.

Can I expand on this concept?

We're already going to have craftable items. Let's finally have the ability to make the pot, and put whatever flower you want in them.

You can hang shirts on the wall now in HHD and new leaf now, yeah! But it's just the shirt with a very thin wire hook. I was thinking more like an item that can hang multiples or different hanger styles rather than just placing a shirt on the wall! something like this (lol random photo found on google):

A lot of the ideas mention here are really neat. I like the waterwheel idea and growing flowers in pots. I can't really think of too much to go outside, but maybe a swing that you could hang from the trees and actually moves? I mean, I would love to have chairs and other objects that move in real life to be able to move in the game too. My family and I have swings outside in our backyard and I would love to do some swinging too in New Horizons. I especially would love to swing in the spring and fall time, since it has really nice and pleasant weather most of the time I would think.

I think maybe we can.

I've only seen one bush and it appeared to be in a crafted box or something, and I know Holly bushes can be crafted in PC, so maybe that's how we'll be able to add those, and any other potted plants.
