So in the AC Switch, I have no doubt they will add a new species. Whatever the species is, will you go for the new animals just for their new shiny factor and to see them all, or go for your past dreamies/friends old villagers you already know. Or even both.

All I can say is that if Nintendo adds dolphins villagers to the Switch version, I will loose my marbles. I will most likely have to get them all, even if they don't match my theme.

If they increase the villager cap, then I see no reason not to do both ^_^ I'd love to have my favourites back, plus also give the new ones a chance! I hope the special amiibo villagers are still in AC Switch, because I'd definitely get Etoile back. I love her soo much that I don't think I could ever pass up an opportunity to have her in my Switch town. But I'd also most definitely want to meet the new animals the new game will introduce! So my answer is, I'll have a nice little mix of old and new. :)

It will all depend on how likeable/desirable they are. I still love Kiki and I have her in my town, she is a villager from one of the GameCube version.

I think this time i am going to try to be open to everyone. I have always HATED the mouse characters so i am going to try to be open to all characters. I am going to do a lot of things different in switch

I like a mix, but its pure aesthetics for me. If one doesn't match, I will boot them.

It’ll be a mix for me I think, I’m not gonna choose any new villagers or species just because they’re new though I’m hoping there will be at least a few that I love!

As a player I have always tried to get as much as I can when it comes to the villagers, I have this borderline OCD thing that makes me brain think that I need at least:

- 1 rodent (Squirrel, hamster, mouse, rabbit; even though rabbits aren't technically rodents anymore)
- 1 bird (+1 water bird)
- 1 reptile (alligator)
- 1 marsupial
- 1 cephalopod (octopus)
- 1 amphibian (frog)

and then if we're even more ridiculous:

- 1 canine
- 1 feline

Of course this isn't possible with our 10 villager limit, so I hope it can be possible and even with new species.

I also make sure to get the new species in my town as well, there's usually always one I like of each species.

And when I say "I need", I mean "I NEED". It's really bad, sometimes my head says I shouldn't have two villagers which share the same first letter of their name.

.i.e shouldn't have Deirdre AND Dobie

Itll all depend on what type of theme I plan on going for.
Usually I love having the mythological looking villagers or food/really cute villagers. So maybe they will add a new theme of villagers I'll like or add to the mythological ones!
Making enchanted forests is really fun for me

I plan on having a few old favorites in my town, but other than that I don't know who will move in. Kitty and Alfonso will definitely become residents at some point. They are two of my absolute favorites, and I've never had them in the same town before.

I'm going to try my best to keep it balanced. New species of villagers will be super likely and I would want that "fresh" aspect to my AC Switch town. However, I definitely will be getting Kiki for my town since her & Tutu are my favorite villagers overall. :3

Other than one villager I want in my town for sure (dizzy) I’m open to all new villagers, at least in the beginning when I’m playing the game more organically. If they do make new species, it would be nice to have some of them in my town just for the experience. For example, for a brief while I scanned in W.Link to live in my town just to see what he was like since he’s considered one of the special characters. Further on in my playthrough I will probably choose based on aesthetics or theme.

I imagine my village will be a mix of new and old. I absolutely want to bring back Ankha, Roscoe, and Filbert. I'd also like to see some of the old villagers that I've never had in town. The rest would certainly be made up of the newer species.

I've had Nan in every single one of my towns before so I'm definitely going to try and get her. My past New Leaf town was an aesthetic town and I wanted all the villagers to match but this time I'm just going to spend time with villagers I like. I'd really like to try and befriend everyone and get all of the villager pictures, but I know Nan will definitely stay in my town the whole time.

It depends entirely on the villagers. Until I know what the new ones are (if any), I don't know know if I'll go for them. Regardless, I'll be trying to get Chief in my town for sure.

I for sure want some of my old favorites in my town, especially Beau, but I’m definitely open to having newly introduced villagers in my town as well if I like their design/personality!

When I first start playing, I'm going to take whoever moves in organically. It is impossible for me to decide until I see the new villagers for myself. I'm going to shoot for having Fauna and Grizzly in my town for sure since they're my long-time faves. But as for the rest... I'll give anyone a chance! :D

I probably won't go after any villagers in particular, I'll just see who I get naturally (at least early on). I'll just keep the ones I like and try to get rid of the ones I don't like, as usual. But with that said, it would be cool to have a new species in town. I just won't force it to happen.

My plan right now is to make two towns, one town will be my main one and has the "old" dreamies,
while the other town will be a "new villagers/dreamies only" town.
