New Year Reflections

Not open for further replies.
Here's mine! :)

1. Reach my target employment!
For the past couple years I've been struggling with employment since I moved. I hope to at least find something where I am helping people directly doing something that makes me feel fulfilled. Something like nursing or other medical-related practices would fit this well. I apply to online services often too to help me stay productive.

2. Try new things!
Applies to so many aspects of my life! I've gotten a head start and started working on creating complicated cooking recipes I never tried before. It has been so fun developing more skills; I hope to learn even more! Sticking to a progressive work out routine would be great too so I could apply new workout knowledge to be more fit.

3. Be more confident!
As of late, I have been very "shy" in terms of my attire. I've always been somewhat of a downer on my appearance, so I hope to become more caring of myself in that aspect. I hope to express myself through my look more!

4. Be more empathetic!
I hope to become a very welcoming person to talk to. Like my looks, I'm very shy person! Lately this year I've been bit more social than I typically would be. I've met a lot of lovely people on here, so I'd like to return the favor. I just need to take more of a social leap and reach out to people!

5. Make my home comfortable!
Since I have moved into my new place, I don't have much furniture! I should be able to get it to work with enough research and time thankfully. This sort of ties into the employment problem as well, which I'm working on too! Just this year, my partner and I bought our very first Christmas tree. Decorating is was so much fun and brought such a coziness to our home. I hope to add more as time goes on so it feels like it has some personality and is a welcoming place!

1.Experience every holiday in animal crossing new leaf without time traveling. I tend to time travel alot and would like to achieve this by doing what I can do each day in the game and then play a different game so I won't be tempted to time travel and that way I will have my mind off of it for the day by focusing on another game.
2. Complete all of the exhibits in the museum. I also tend to reset a lot and have not
actually completed everything before so I am gonna focus on making things work no matter what and work around things that I don't like instead of resetting the town so I can achieve this.
3. Collect all the moons in Mario Odyssey. I have completed the game but have yet to
collect all the moons because of playing other games so I am going to try to
collect the rest of the moons before Animal crossing New Horizons comes out.
4.Save money for New Horizons. I have been putting some money back each month and my goal is to get to at least $200 in case they also come out with
any animal crossing accessories that I want to get as well with the game.
5. To not Time travel in New Horizons. I time travel alot in new leaf and would like to try not to time travel in New Horizons by limiting myself to playing it for a
certain amount of time a day and then changing to another game or doing something
else entirely to not worry about completing something and have my mind off of it.

1. Go see at least two music artists I enjoy listening to, live.
It?s sorta difficult for me to take time to relax and actually enjoy something. My love for music is everlasting. I will never not love listening to it. And my music taste is so diverse so this is a pretty easy task, in my opinion. I would love to go see BTS and Harry Styles live, as those are two of my favorite artists at the moment. If not BTS, I think it?d be pretty cool to go see someone else I like, maybe like Niall Horan or something. I used to love 1D when I was younger, and I love all their solo stuff now, too.

2. Get a job!
I used to do home health care under the table, which was pretty easy considering I worked nights and all I had to do was sit there and play games half of the night; but I want something where I actually have to do stuff, not just sit there all night. It makes me sleepy when all I do is just sit there waiting for someone to get up, I like to be on my feet constantly. Although with how lazy I am, I tend to take a lot of breaks...... Meh. I guess this is what being an adult is like? Since I graduated highschool, my parents won?t leave me alone about getting another job, especially with how much I like to spend money. Getting a job would be very beneficial for me.

3. Make new friends
Making friends is sorta difficult for me... I?d really like to make new ones, as my best friend, is a bit unsupportive of me and seems to only care about herself. Which makes me sad because there?s so much I wanna tell her about my daily life, and she just tells me she doesn?t care, and then goes on about how her day is going. It makes me really frustrated, so I?d really like to make new friends. The ones I?ve met through a certain Discord server are the greatest friends I could ask for right now, and that?s usually enough for me- but I would really like a friend in real life that actually cares about me? I don?t know... is that too much to ask for?

4. See my boyfriend again.
I?ve really only seen him twice in real life. And it?s never for longer than a weekend. Since that?s really all I can afford, and all the time my mom can take off work. I?d like to try to see him on my own, but my mom would never allow it. But if I were to go out on my own, I could stay for much longer. My goal is to get a good job, save up a ton of money, and then go see him, by myself. I would request the time off work and everything, too. I really miss him so I?d really love to go out and see him again... we could do so much in a week rather than in a weekend.

5. Learn how to drive.
Ever since I was behind the wheel and crashed into a curb because my mom tried teaching me how to turn... which made me super anxious, btw- I haven?t touched the wheel since. I?d really like to get over my fear of driving in 2020. It would be the coolest thing if I could learn how to drive. That?s really all I want the most for the new year. That way I can drive if my mom can?t (with how clumsy she is and how much she hurts herself accidentally). It?d be really neat to learn, and get over my fear of it.

Hope this is an alright drawing!! ;;

1) Getting a new, better job.
My first goal is getting a new job, which is better than the old one I worked at. I had to quit my last job due health issues and the fact that it wasn't the right one for me, just too stressful and messy, not enjoybale at all over a long time. Thankfully, I'm getting help now to find a job that fits to me the best and which is also not too stressful for my health.

2) Thinking more positive
My second goal is to think more positive in my life and stop acting like a pessimist. I've noticed often over the year that I'm thinking way too negative about certain things and that I freaking out about stuff which aren't such a big deal at all. I want to be more happy again and seeing everything in a better light instead of being too cranky.

3) Working on my art skills
My third goal is to work on my current art skills. Art is part of my life since I was a toddler, I love drawing and crafting, but my overall skills needs some improvement. I want to draw more and hope to find my own style that I like.

4) Going to a live concert of my favorite musicians
My fourth goal is to finally going to a live concert of my favorite musicians, in this case the Pet Shop Boys. I wanted to go to a concert of them back in 2016, however, the concert was around the time where I moved into my new home. Therefore it didn't work, I was very disappointed. Now they are back around my area in 2020 and i hope I can now going to their new concert along with my dad, as they also not getting younger and may not doing again another concert here where I live.

5) Losing some weight
My final goal is to lose some weight. I'm became a little bit chubby in 2019 to be honest, mainly because of my health issues, and although I do feel good, I think I would feel even better when I'm eating more healthy and doing a little diet.

my goal 4#.jpg

This is me, getting excited over the fact that I got the tickets for the live cincert.

1. I want to master more math standards. Right now, I?m working on high school math, though I?m not in high school yet. I?m the farthest in the class with this, as we have a program that lets us go ahead and learn more advanced things, as well as learning the current stuff. I want to get a really high NWEA score, there are certain people who I want to do better than this time, because they?re always bragging how their score is higher than mine, even if it?s only by a little bit. To do this, I?ll need to be able to remember all the volume formulas (very hard to remember), quadratic equation, sin cos and tan, and a lot of other stuff. I know how to do all of that, but remembering the formulas is my main issue.

2. I want to improve my writing. I write a lot (not on here) for fun, and I?m getting a little better, but I have a tendency to only write short stories, and to not have really interesting plots. I also lose motivation really easily, and get writer?s block a lot. So I?m going to try and write better stories, even if they take longer to make.

3. I want to become more social and self-confident. When I?m with my friends, I?m pretty talkative and humorous, but if there?s someone around I don?t know, I?ll hardly even open my mouth. It?s not that I don?t want to make friends, It?s just that I don?t really know how to start conversations, because being around people I?ve never talked to gives me really bad anxiety. Luckily, I don?t have this kind of problem talking online, so I?ve been able to become a little more social on forums like this.

4. I want to be able to draw hands better. Hands are so darn hard to draw. They curve so weirdly, it?s so annoying. The wrist is skinny, the thumb is out pretty far, and distancing all the fingers from each other is really challenging. Makes me want to scream.

5. I want to spend more time doing things that I enjoy. I don?t want to just sit around, bored like I do sometimes. I want to draw more. I want to write more. I want to learn more in school, especially math. I want to game more, there are so many good video games coming out this year. For example, ACNH, Rune Factory 5 is supposed to come out this year, and whatever new Pokemon game we get. I want to geek out a little more, and not be so secretive about my love for the FNAF franchise. I just want to enjoy living, because this is going to be the best year. We?re supposed to be getting a kitten sometime this year, when our dog gets a little more confident, and you bet I?ll be spending every moment with that kitten once we get it. I?m so excited.

1. My primary goal for this year is to pass my NCLEX exam on the first try so I can become a registered nurse as soon as possible after graduation. It has been 5 years since I started nursing school and I am so excited to be able to finally have my dream job!

2. My next goal is to finally go on a nice vacation out of the country with my boyfriend. We both work 24/7 and when we are not working one of us is in school or doing something other than relaxing. We both need one so badly after these very stressful few years not in our relationship but everything else in life

3. I want to start getting up early to cook a healthy breakfast every morning and start cooking dinner more than what I do now. I'm not good at waking up in the morning and I also eat out way too much so hopefully i can get there one step at a time!!!

4. After graduating I am hoping to find a nice first floor apartment or townhouse near the hospitals I am hoping to work at. I also need this place to be accepting of animals since I have two dogs I don't think I could ever live without. I am also hoping there is a dog park or field nearby so I can let them run around and play.

5. My fifth goal is to take time for myself every day to relax and play new horizons!!!! I am super excited to finally start making my island I have so many ideas to try out! animal crossing holds a special place in my heart and my boyfriend decided to pre-order it for me as a surprise gift earlier in the year so I'm getting very impatient and excited.

Draw more - I want to improve my art, so I need to find the time to draw more. I should push myself to try and get a nicely lined/full colored piece of art out once a week or every two weeks. Doodling here and there wouldn?t hurt either. Should also start watching drawing tutorials for areas I want to improve on most, like anatomy, shading, etc.

Read more - Last book serious I got was GOT as a gift, and I didn?t even finish reading it, I just watch the tv show. I need to finish reading those books and start looking up some recommendations for new books. I should make time in my schedule each day to read and maybe not spend so much time playing video games or surfing the net.

Make healthier decisions - I?ve already stopped drinking soda this year, but I should cut down on drinking tea and juice as well. I also need to choose healthier types of food to snack on while watching TV or playing video games. I should cut down on how much time I spend playing games too and spend some more time outside, and maybe even start up a daily exercise routine. Definitely need to stop staying up all night playing video games and start getting a decent night's sleep so I don?t feel tired all the time, and would have the energy to exercise more. This is bound to happen again when New Horizons come out so I?ll really have to watch myself then.

Get a perfect town/island in New Horizons - Even though I?ve played all the AC games, NL is the only game that I?ve achieved a perfect town status in. For the GC version, WW, and CF I either didn?t know that was a thing or never bothered to look up how to accomplish it. With New Horizons, I?ll read guides on how to get a perfect town. I?ll probably even spend time in the trading section of the forums to buy flowers or other plants to help achieve the perfect town status.

Save up for/obtain doubutsu no mori collectible set (in correct order) - I?ve had a dream of owning this collectible set ever since I joined the forums. With the new game coming out, I?ll hopefully be more active on the forums and can gain more tbt towards this goal by typing more and opening shops to sell in-game items or even art. If the collectible set is even offered again as a raffle prize in any future events, I?ll be sure to participate in as many activities as I can to purchase a lot of tickets for the raffle.

Making real estate agents Lyle and Nook really happy when I'm able to save up enough bells to buy an entire street of houses from them

1. Drivinglicense (Drawing)
I don't have a drivinglicense yet, but I am currently working on getting it. It will be much more easy to go to shop,
especially when I have to get some heavy stuff, such as water or catlitter. Once I have it, I hope to buy a VW Beetle
in blue, because as a child it was always my dreamcar and it's much more affordable than my current dreamcar,
a Nissan 350Z. A drivinglicense gives me also the chance to get a job.

2. Be less shy
I am trying to work on this for years already, but it is still very hard to not be shy and honestly it will never go
100% away, but I want to at least improve it. By now I can go to shop alone, Veterinaire and even get
appointements for a haircut etc. by myself, but once I am there I start to panic and I really want to improve
this somehow, as it is really annoying me.

3. Good french
I live in France, yet I barely ever cared for the language and I don't really know why.
However, after living so long in France I really have to step up my french. I can talk with people, but my
sentence building is still not great and past, future etc. is hell. I also have to stop being scared of how I say
some words, as I often know perfectly what to say, but I just won't say anything because I'm worried I am
making myself a fool for saying a word not perfect.

4. Finish the house
Even though there are quite some things I can't do alone in the house, I really want to finally get it done.
There are smaller things I can do, but I prefer to be like "not important right now" rather than quickly doing
it and just being done with it, as it has to be done one day anyways. I might not be able to finish the house,
but I really want to get the bedroom done, because I want to have the livingroom nice looking but the bed
is blocking me a lot from arranging the furniture and so on.

5. Take care of myself
Classic goal that 95% of the population stops caring abozt after one month, but I really want to give my best
to live better. Cook more and eat less premade food, stoping to bleach my hair to death and actually doing
some Sport instead of just sitting around all day long!

I never was one to make new year goals, I always think that goals are stupid as you should work towards improving yourself all year long. Instead of saying tomorrow, make it today.
BUT, there is a very long list of things I need to improve on. Things I?ve always wanted to do but never gotten around to doing.
My first goal would be to stop being annoying, I know it?s kinda vague to say but I?ve always been very blunt and straight forward online with people which means people dislike me a lot (doesn?t help when I get drunk and have no filter lol) so I?d like to be less annoying!
My next goal would be to become more confident, kinda opposite with what I just said but I?ve very shy in real life meeting new people. I just never know what to do and suck at social cues!!
My third goal would be to get animal crossing new horizons on release date and NEVER reset!! I?ve always reset in the past and regret it because I?ve still never completed the game properly. I?d love to complete it.
My forth goal would be to travel more, get out and about. See the world. I don?t want to stay at home and be depressed for my whole life (that sucks). Some places I would love to visit would be New York, California, Japan (and Tokyo), and somewhere nice and hot! And summer like.
My last goal would be to get a job and start working. Become a person my mum would be more proud of lol. Be more of a better functioning person for society! I already have some ideas but sucking at socialising makes it difficult to do anything. I will still try and work on myself to be better!!! Oh and maybe goal for mods to unban me from discord hehehe jk don?t hurt me!

Oh! This will be fun! 5 new year resolutions you say?

1. Acquire the Dreamy Egg and Nightmare eggs. I absolutely love the Easter Egg collectibles here in the forum and my goal is to eventually own these two eggs. I'm debating whether or not to purchase the Dreamy Egg with the 60 mementos. But I also really like the fireworks one, so I'll need to see about that.

2. Move out of my house. I would really like to be able to move out and live with my fianc?. We're currently in the talks about moving out together, but alas, right now we still haven't found a place to live yet and we haven't tabulated expenses yet, so we'll need to do that.

3. APPLY FOR PRACTICAL LICENSE! I passed all my clinical exams this term and now can officially work in my field that I went to school for, but I'm a little bit intimidated by all the paperwork that I'll need to fill out to get my license. There's like so many pages to go through and fill out. I just want to magically have it so that I can start working. Gotta get to it once people are off Christmas vacation and back in their offices.

4. WRITE MY THESIS PAPER. I have about a year to write out my thesis paper and then get it checked by the jury. But I don't know what the procedures are since I will need to ask for a supervisor who will be overseeing my thesis paper. I don't even have a topic or a research question in mind. So I think the first thing I will need to do is that.

5. SELL, DONATE, TOSS my stuff. I have so many things that I have that I need to Marie Kondo through. Especially since I have plans on moving out later in the year. So rather than wait until the actual time I am going to move out, I should start doing that now so when the time comes, I'll have less clutter. Marie Kondo, may your wisdom guide my hand and heart.

6. Marry and have kids with my fianc? (soon to be husband). This links with goal #2 of moving out. My super longterm goal is to move out, get married, and have children with my darling love~ It probably won't be right away this year (or maybe!). My picture (drawn quite well) depicts the two of us with our children and a house that we call our own.

1. Limit my use of devices, especially my phone. I always get distracted with it at school and never end up paying attention. Obviously that?s really bad for my marks. Then of course when I go home, it?s back on devices again and not even my homework. Once the break is over, I?m going to start just putting my phone down on the desk, start taking notes, start doing the work, and put in all the effort I can to achieve high marks. This is for my own well-being and my future, if I want to have a great future then first I have to have a great education.

2. Sleep more. Once again, this correlates to devices. I?m on them so much that I always stay up super late, and never get much time to sleep. I?m a late sleeper and early waker, which is not very good on my part. I?ve had some days we?re I?ve only had 2-3 hours of sleep and that?s really bad for my mind, body, and health. Rarely I?m tired in the morning, but even if I am, I?ll wake up either way. Of course, using devices is really addicting and I can be on them all night, I have to force myself to put it down and go to sleep. I?m going to try and set a time to sleep so that I?ll have a good amount of hours of sleep, and will wake up refreshed and energized in the morning.

3. Find something I love to do and do it! I still don?t know what career choice I?ll take, as I?m still in the midst of deciding, (and mind you I?m a very bad decision maker), and I just have no idea what I want to be. I don?t even have options that I can think. My favourite subject is math, and I love art, but I just don?t know what I would like doing. I like jobs where you actually have to go and do things, like fun jobs, I don?t know how to explain it but not sitting on the desk with a computer. I?m too energetic to sit around all that (I?m not saying anything bad about those jobs, it just doesn?t fit with me). I guess I?d like jobs where you can design things, someone can make it, things like that. Some people suggested an architect and maybe I might fall into a career with that category, but I still don?t know yet. Hopefully by senior year I?ll know what I want to do, cause that?s when life really starts.

4. Learn a different language! I?ve always wanted to learn Japanese, and I want to go to Japan too. The language just sounds so nice, and of course, I enjoy anime so much that I just need to learn its language. It would be so cool speaking it. I also want to learn sign language, it can come in handy in certain situations.

5. Learn fighting techniques. I?ve always wanted to do those cool moves in movies with like taking down the enemy so swiftly, all the jumping and kicking in the air with punching and stuff. Probably will never use it but who knows, maybe something could happen one day and they can come in handy. Always want to be on the safe side and I want to be able to protect myself.

1. Above all the goals, this one I want to achieve the most. It may not be such a big deal, but I'd like to gather the courage to travel by myself. Where would I like to go? I would love to go to Texas and Florida. Why those two states? Because two of my best friends who have changed my life lives there! Being able to see them in person would mean the world to me! It'll also help me get out of my room and get some fresh air. I walk now and then around my village, so if I can work on travelling further out and more frequent, that'll help push myself to travel to other countries (if I got the money :p).

2. I want to become a full time video editor. Currently me and my friend are working on a Twitch and YouTube channel, and I'm the editor for the YouTube channel. I would love for our channels to kick off and become a full time job for us. I'll also want to branch out and edit for other channels as a source of income. Once I practice enough and get a sense of style, I'll be one step closer to completing my goal!

3. I want to improve my English. I've got a disability that effects my learning and language skills. I'll often misspell words without realising it, use the wrong words to describe something or can't pronounce common words properly. If I can improve my English, I wouldn't have to depend on Google so much for correcting my spellings or using the right meaning, and it'll help me socialise more with people without worrying if what I say will confuse or offend someone. I've taken up reading my niece's Harry Potter book collections, I read them out loud, so that'll help me reach this goal.

4. I'd like to make a game at some point. I've had many ideas of what kind of game I could make, one that sticks out the most to me is a Heavy Rain/Life is Strange inspired game, where your decisions will make an impact in the story. I want to be able to make a game that has different stories to tell and multiple endings to reach. Heck, maybe I'll even set a World Record for most endings in a video game!

5. My final goal will be my overall goal, and that's to help other people achieve their goals. That's always been my desire in general. Helping others fulfill their goals, like with my friend and our Twitch/YouTube channels, or giving emotional support when someone is down. What ever the issue is, if I can do it within my set of skills, I will help. Helping is my passion! And I want to make this world a happier place!

The image is of me finally summoning up the courage to travel to the US, and meeting up with my two best friends, with tears of joy. <3

5 goals :3
My goals
1. I would love to be able to work on my health as in mentally and emotionally. This year was a roller coaster for me being a first-time parent and having to take care of someone else other than myself and my significant other. I know it?s not easy and there are no shortcuts on getting better within a day, but I will strive to continue to stay positive for myself and for my family.
2. My 2nd goal for the future is being able to travel with my family. Now that my baby is grown and old enough, I would love to take this opportunity to venture out more. Also, visit other family members in different state would be amazing. I?m slowly starting to save for our very first trip to Disney World and/or Universal Studios Orlando and hope that time comes soon!
3. My 3rd goal I have on my list is to try to be more active on the forums and interact with our awesome community here. I do occasionally try to welcome and help new members who join and need help with the forums or in game stuff. I hope to meet and make new friends from the forum as well.
4. My 4th goal would have to be trying to eat healthy from now on. After having a baby, I seem to skip out on meals at times or forget to eat at all. I need to stay fit and healthy that way I have energy to take care of my family otherwise it?ll be chaos waiting to happen. Luckily, I?ve been starting to cook more often at home now than eating out and such.
5. Lastly, once Animal Crossing New Horizon game is released, I hope that I can maintain a better town. I know my Animal Crossing New Leaf town is a bit of a mess when it comes to designing paths and whatnot. I?ll try to make sure that I have things is order and keep a beautiful town going.

1. Health: at the top of my list would be to pay more attention to my health. I'd like to start eating healthier and finding more time for exercise. This ties in with my other goals of other bad habits that are definitely not good for the body.

2. Finances: going together with health is that I'd want to watch my spending more. Cutting out said bad habit will definitely save me alot more cash and I want this to go into saving for my future. My fianc? and I recently bought a house and I'd have to work doubly hard to ensure we have enough funds for all the big purchases coming our way. I guess it's really time to start thinking for my future family.

3. Thirdly, I'd work towards getting more rest as I've realised my moods take a dip when I'm stressed. And I tend to lash out on people around me. So I wish to learn to better manage my time and get more free time in for rest and leisure. Am hoping to get more reading in during my free periods.

4. I also hope to spend more time with my parents as they are not getting any younger. There are still so many places which I had promised to bring them to and I hope I'll be able to keep all these promises.

5. Lastly, I hope to put in more effort into everything I do. As with every year, resolutions are made but all these fall flat as I do not see myself committing to them. I'd want to change that and put in just a little more effort into ensuring that I at least try to work towards what I had set out for. Thus, I will be keeping a tiny notepad to mark the steps I've taken towards improvement.

May 2020 be great for everyone :)

1. University - I start my first year of uni (diagnostic radiography) in 2020, so I'm hoping to keep on top of it and not fall behind. I got into my course by 0.1%, and I'll definitely be at the bottom of the class initially, but I'm hoping to overcome that to the best of my ability and not fail. While I have friends going to the same uni as me, I also want to make new friends within my course and not be a loner in my classes.
2. Get a job - I've been putting off getting a job to 'focus on studies' and other excuses, so I want to put that aside and get a job for real this year. I've already applied for 20 places with no avail, so I'm hoping I'll get something after the holiday season dims down a bit. I kinda need my own money and need to stop being dependant on my parents. I could be working right now, but I refuse to work in fast food.
3. Find a hobby - I'm not really passionate about anything hence why I'm so boring in real life, so finding a hobby would be cool. I'm into gaming, music and the usual, but not passionate enough to consider it a hobby so I definitely want to change that, somehow
4. Stay healthy - I've been trying to eat healthy for a while now, but there's only so much diet can do. I've lost a lot of weight since I was a child, slowly but its getting there. I aim to start going to the gym in March when the new one opens a 5 minute walk from my house, which is hopefully not as full as the other ones near to me.
5. Make time for New Horizons - I'm not sure how often I'll play, but I definitely aim to make time for it at least once every few days : )

1st Goal: Exercising
In the start of the year, I was actually doing really well doing my daily routine but had suddenly stopped, either due from not having much support or the drive to exercise wasn't enough to push me.

To achieve this, I'm already on a programme that has been giving me support with many things including personal training. To actually get a professionals advice on how to work on my routine should really help me to give me a better idea on how to structure my exercise.

2nd Goal: Finishing novel/short stories/fanfictions
I love to write but as per usual, I've been having trouble in doing so. I also have a lot of stories/ideas that I keep going back and forth which make it hard to concentrate on just one at a time.

To achieve this, I?ll keep using my dreams as a starting point. Get back into the free course Pixar provides called ?The Art of Storytelling? (it has been really helpful to understand the deep messages in what you?re writing and has just been helping me get back into my stories) and just ignore distractions. I?m not too sure on what to really do on concentrating on just one story as there?s just times where I want to work on different parts of the stories. Anyways, doing this should help me be confident enough to show them to others :)

3rd Goal: Getting out more
I?ll be honest, I like the comfort of my home. But it would be nice to go out for a walk every once in a while.

To achieve, I guess planning should help me figure out when I?m less busy to have a wander around my local area. If I?m in a bad mood or have no idea what to do in the day, then give myself time to calm down and feel better by going outside.
Going out with friends and taking the time to do more volunteering should be good too.

4th Goal: Get a Job
Would be nice to help out and get a part time job/apprenticeship/intern.
Since I?m on the programme, they?re helping me finding work, but I can also help myself by searching every now and then for any jobs that take my interest for an hour or two.

5th Goal: Working on my games
My first town is about 6 years old and still hasn?t been a perfect town nor is it complete to me. Got a new town as well, so it?s been hard giving time for both.
To achieve, just work on one town each day for a little while. I have a problem playing at night, so instead just change the clock for a few hours.

I also have many of the older Pokemon games, and I?ve been meaning to go back and play through it properly. I organise myself to use new Pokemon I?ve never used before and just want to play again.
Again, to achieve this just gonna give myself time like my animal crossing games by using up the time I have to play once in a while.

5 goals for me in general

1. Pet bunnies. I?ve always liked rabbits ever since I was a kid and in this life I?d like to have some of my own. They?re cute, fluffy and always like to play around. I know they?re not easy to take care off but I?ll do my best making sure they?re are super happy and have plenty of room to run around. I?ll especially get toys for them since I don?t want any cables to be chewed up. Names are hard but I?ll name one of them cheesecake because well, I like the dessert.

2. Make the best out of the new animal crossing game. It?s awesome that a new one is coming a few months from now. Time has definitely passed since it?s announcement back at 2018 and it?s full reveal at E3 2019. Once I get the game, I?ll do what I can to make a pretty town. I especially would like all bunnies. Bunnie, Cole and others will definitely be on the radar for my town.

3. Improve my communication skills. If there?s one thing that can easily derail things, it?s poor communication. I?ve had instances where things get confusing etc because I didn?t give enough detail. I?ll take the time to make things clear, avoid small hiccups and avoid being unintentionally rude.

4. Support people that need it. People are having it rough in life and support can come a long way. There?s nothing better than seeing a smile after helping out someone after they had a bad day. I want to remind that there?s always good in this world.

5. Grow my own garden. I?ve always wanted to grow my own garden and plant all kinds of fruit, veggies and flowers especially roses and tulips among others. Tending to a garden will keep my mind off the bad and will be a nice spot to sit down, watch the sky and relax. I?ll even share what I grew with those that mean a lot to me.

New Years Goals

1. My first goal is definitely surrounding mental health. I finally took the steps to manage my mental health problems that were creeping in and it was really helpful and probably the best hting I could’ve done for my health overall. It can be hard to admit a mental helath problem, alot of peopel see it as “not a real health concern” or view someone as “sensitive” who has one and to finally perceive this as something normal, natural, and warranted was very much so needes. So I would like to maintain this mental health stability.

2. As horrible as it is going to sound, I think another one of goals is to really let go of some people in my life that I annoyingly hang on to. The main one being my ex…. I know very cliche. We broke up agreeing to be friends and that we still cared for each other, it jsut wasnt the right time. Hindsight now I would never date him again, but I still would like to be friends because we were each our first relationships. There was still some uncertainty in my mind about how everything transpired but I think I’m at a place now that I can truly just be his friend. However, it is not reciprocated and I think it says something unhealthy about how I still feel the need to be the bigger person and try to maintain a friendship when he has his own agenda for not responding or showing any care. Same can be said for lots of people in my family, and I jsut dont need to stress myself out with people like this.

3. I’ve come a long way in stopping thinking everyone has more negative feelings about me than postive. That always stopped me from keeping in touch with certain people in my life and I want to mke more a stride to get back in touch. Already I’m working towards this by planning to meet someone I havent seen in years and someone I ahvent seen since college. The last few times I did this it strengthened how far I have come and I loved reliving the good times I had with those people.

4. I worked at a camp for children with different illnesses for several summers of my life and still go back to volunteer each summer for a week. It is by far the most intereting thing about me and what has brought the most meaning to my life as well. I have always wanted to get a tattoo of something from it and I think this year will be the perfect time to get one. The most meaningful part was a time where the campers would hold a candle and answer questions about their life and talk freely abotu how their disability shaped their perspective. I heard some amazing stories and so I would like to get a tattoo of one of those fake switch candles. That’s what my picture below is of, a rouch outline (very rough) of what I woudl want.

5. Diet and exercise is probably the most cliche of goals/ resolutions but it has been on my list for a while. I said I needed to get stability with my job and mental health before being able to actually exercise regularly, and I finally dont have any other excuses to hide behind lol.

The light around it would be the 4 different colors of the cabins we had at camp. My last year I had a leadership position where we were in charge of one color, and it was a big deal what color you were. Shine your light was something we said a lot, because there was a lot of magic at camp and we wished more people could experience it , so we would say who would you want to shine the light of camp on. Magical!

Goel 1: i will go to IKEA in 2020 to purchase a cheap bookshelf to store my games and DVDs on. I moved house in 2019 and 4 months later still my stuff is packed in boxes. I will purchase a bookshelf to go in my bedroom to put my stuff on and make my room tidier. While I'm at it, I will purchase a cheap and affordable breakfast at IKEA furniture store.

Goel 2: Goel 2, is my second goel and whilst not my first goel, is still a priority. I will make note of all interesting railway workings I'm the UK between January and December, and then in December 2020 I will review these in a long post on my website rail-record.co.uk for SEO purposes in order to continue to try to beat my competitors in terms of SEO. I will use internal linking to boost my keyword ranking abilities in search engines. This will bring me closer to beating my competitors.

Goel 3: since moving house in afforementioned goel 1, my Nintendo switch remains boxed up. Goel 3 is to unbox this in preparation for animal crossing switch. My Nintendo switch won't be connected to the television because I have no available plug sockets left. It will be docked but won't be charging. I will use my phone charger to alternate between charging the switch and phone.

Goel 4: this is to use my left leg more when injecting my medication. I tend to find using my right leg easier when injecting my medication and so my left thigh does not get a balanced amount of medication.

Goel 5 is to put more effort into budgeting. With my rent increasing next month and no sign of the holiday pay which I should have been due last month I need to save better. So budgeting will help me save funds better in my long term goel of buying a house.

I hope these reflection goels are of interest to belltreeforums
