New Year Reflections

1. I will finally like to count all my zebras and start counting the futures zebras I get just because I want to reach before I?m my 30?s to the 1,000 zebras so this is my year to finally focus on my collection and be a responsible collector. Also another reason why I want them to count them it?s that I want to see if this year or the next year I can finally be on the world records for having the biggest collection of zebras there ever is because I?m proud of my collections and will love to share the news that I have one of the best collection there ever is especially for zebras

2. I WANT TO FINALLY QUIT THIS TOXIC WORKPLACE. (sorry for caps) this workplace has been slowly draining me of energy and emotionally so much and I just already want to leave but no other job that I will like have accepted me though I told myself after the trip I?m going to take on the last week of February I?m going to force myself and find a peaceful job that I will stay so I can no longer be drained so emotionally and finally start a life I can be happy with it.

3. finally getting someone to draw me my logo for my business and for my business to finally start very well to sell it more on people and have between my regular (happy) job and my freelance job of making my delicious sweets that I can sell to the people of where I live but will also like for some of the stuffs like cookies maybe I can sell those in package to other country with the internet but the internet will have to wait I have to focus first on the real life before selling in the internet just to be stable.

4. for this year to start paying up my small bills (since I still live with my parents, I don?t pay much) and to start finally driving once I quit my toxic job. Since the reason I haven?t drive yet its because of my job since I keep fainting because of stress I cant handle stress in my life but I deal with it I just have a limit but thanks for the limit passing I haven?t learn to drive yet and I really want to.

5. this year I will finally focus on my health a lot of what I?m eating like I will still eat anything but I?ll put myself some limits like I need to stop eating after 10pm and I also need to do exercise (even If on weekend I cant because of my odd hour in my workplace) I will do it the other 4 days. so il start this schedule on Monday and hope to keep up with it since I want to lose some pounds and become happy with my weight.

6. finally buy a proper gaming laptop and stream all I want of my games since gaming has been in my life forever since I used to be lonely I may not be a competitor but I do play my games very well so I will like for people to see that I can play good even if I?m casual and because seriously I always like the terms of streaming its fun and always to try it.

7. to find me a good camera since I always wanted to be a photographer and some good classes and also I will like some party planner classes even though I don?t like to celebrate much in the party I always loved the idea of making the party since I always like to be creative with the decorations and ideas and especially the food in terms of what appetizers and lunch/dinner should be and what cake it should be so being a baker/photographer/ party planner so having this 3 stuff it will really help in my future job as one great freelancer but for now that is in the future since I will need the laptop first and to find me good cameras which are expensive but one year I will finally love to do it especially before I reach the 30?s.

My five goals for the New Year

1 Draw More
This year was really there year I drew more seriously. I looked up references for anatomy and style, followed art accounts, especially if they post art advice, tried to draw as often as I could. Drawing is somethin I always wanted to do, I would see amazingly done fan art and I wanted that for myself. I also want to be a Jack-of-all-trades kind of artist and be able to draw in different styles, not just my typical cartoony style. I plan on drawing more and continuing to look up refs and style so that like day I can be that person who makes amazing art/fan art.

2 Get a new job/car insurance
These go hand-in-hand.This year I got a car, somethin I'm quite proud of. I bought it with my own money I saved from work. A few months later I got my learners permit. The only issue is that my job doesn't pay enough and is too un-predictable with hours that I can't afford car insurance to legally drive my car. Not only pay bit there's other things as well that makes me want to get a new job, some of it being stress, some being rude customers, most of it being my manager and the way he runs things or gets on me about stuff. So far I've looked up new jobs, but I still want to look up more and apply for more places before I quit this job.

3 Body image
This is more of a personal thing, it's not for any growth. I just really want two tattoos and some more piercings. As of now I have zero tattoos, one cartilage piercing and the two regular earring lobe piercings, one for each ear. I want to get 2 more, one for each ear, regular lobe piercings, possibly more cartilage piercings and 2 tattoos. One a simple moon phase change, black lineart on my inner upper right arm, and on my lower left inner arm, a simple line art but stylized black and white compass. I've been stuck on these ideas FOREVER and I think that they'd be amazing to have. I still need to do tattoo research but the peircing thing will be simple, I'll just go back to Piercing Pagoda.

4 Better Self Care
I'm not super careless when it comes to this, I'm just tired and lazy from work half of the time. I'll skip out on doing self care routines, stay up later then I should by losing track of time, stuff like that. This year I'll just have to keep hetter track of doing little self care things, even if I am tired cause in the long run it's better for me.

5 Be a for real plant mom
I always liked plants and I think it's really cool to keep them around and watch them grow. A few months ago I got really into having plants that I bought an airplant with full intent to not let it die. I admit a few plants have died under my care, but I have more plants that are still alive (knock on wood). Right now I'm most proof of my flamingo flower and pothos, as they've both shown positive signs of growth. This year I plan on keeping a journal of when I watered all my plants and being more educated on plants so I dont buy any high maintenance plants.

1. I'd like to become completely caught up on my egg collectibles hunt, golden egg excluded (though I'm not gonna pass up the chance for it if one arrives). which of course I plan to go all-in on the egg hunt, to get as many as I can. though the others (especially the ever-expensive galaxy), I'd probably have to go the tried and true method of also hoping to get other collectibles I don't mind selling. though I'm also hoping to get a switch, so if I'm able too, I'm likely to try opening up a shop to get more collectible funds that way.

2. simply put, to be extra careful about gacha spending this year. since based off of what I know and don't but can estimate based on limited foreknowledge, this year will be absolutely *brutal* with things I want. but alas, I'm likely gonna have to pick my goals very carefully and pull out even sooner than usual. which granted, I don't really whale or anything myself, but the sheer volume of everything that will come would likely make even light spending troublesome in the long term. simply put, more strict budgeting will be the name of the game

3. I'd like to get back to drawing for myself more as opposed to just during tbt event periods. did one small thing recently for a bit of fun, and it certainly was enjoyable. though my problem tends to of course fall in line with distractions, either personal or public. though that said, I've been working on setting up a sort of relaxation/lounge room that's pretty basic isolated from most distractions. so that can probably be used to help fulfill this goal eventually.

4. much like just about everyone else, I'd like to get new horizons. though I'd also have to get a switch as well. which I feel like I *may* actually be safe to do that, but I'm probably gonna be extra cautious and try to sell off some things I don't particularly care for anymore or for one reason or another have extras of. plus my birthday's coming up soon, so I may be able to get extra funding from it through gifts

5. be more aggressive about my personal identity. this one's probably gonna fail, since despite what some of my posts may lead you to believe, I'm like the most anti-confrontational person irl. so I've actually got no real plan here atm, sadly. but to a somewhat related level, I'd also like to look more into things like skin repair and care and such.

6. <redacted>

1. One of the goals I have for myself in the future is to try my best to stop procrastinating on homework and assignments. I plan on trying to do some of my homework/assignments little by little each day instead of doing everything on the day it?s due. Most of my classes have been online classes, so we usually have a week before our assignments are due. I?m going to try to put in at least an hour a day and hopefully I?ll be less stressed from all this procrastinating!

2. My second goal for myself would be to reach Masters 1 in Starcraft 2 by the end of this year. I?m currently Masters 3, but it?s really hard to break through into Masters 2 and then Masters 1. It?s especially hard when you can?t play Sc2 everyday since the meta is always changing and it really hurts if you stop playing for even a day. I?m going to try to play at least a few games each day to try to reach Masters 1 within this year!

3. My third goal would be to get partnered on twitch by the end of this year! It?s pretty hard to get partnered on twitch, especially when you are a full time student, but I definitely want to try my best to reach that goal! I?m going to try to stream at least 4 times a day with a set schedule and work around school with it!

4. My fourth goal would be to fix my sleep schedule. I always mess my sleep schedule up by staying up too late playing video games. I?m going to try to work on sleeping earlier during the weekdays so I don?t feel as tired when I have to wake up for school or work. I?m going to try to sleep at midnight instead of 3am in the morning.

5. My fifth goal would be to limit my phone time. I spend too much time on my phone, especially when I?m out and about. My boyfriend has an app set that lets him know when he?s exceeded his set time on his phone. I?m going to try to use that to limit myself to a certain amount of hours.

Oooh I love these. I was out of town for New Year's week, and I wrote these down so I could type this out once I got home. This is totally worth it. What better way to plan than to write it all out first!

Note: It's 5 AM, so I'm sorry if it just seems like I'm rambling, or repeating anything ;-;

My Goals for 2020:

1. Car/House
I want to get closer to getting my car and home. Since these can be a financial strain on what I'm working with now, this means I have to find better income (but that's for another goal). While I do appreciate my family for helping me get to point A to point B, and providing a room for me, I'm ready to be more independent. This will be the biggest goal so far needless to say, but with the best reward. Whether they're my dream home/car or not, this is something I'm very excited about. Besides, I can only decorate one room for so long; it's time to decorate an entire home for myself! That's the cherry on top for me.

2. The One With the Weight
What resolution list isn't complete without a "lose weight" goal, am I right? I start fasting this month (January) for religious/spiritual reasons for the first time since I was a kid. This can be a nice head-start on this. While I don't mind having curves, I want a healthier weight. I'm going to be eating less red meat, rice, sugar, and more. No doubt this will take some getting used to, but the end results will be worth it.

Also, physical activities. My schedule makes it difficult to make it to the gym before it closes, and with the area I live in, no woman should be walking alone. My best bet for now is resuming Fitness Boxing, other Youtube guides, and even trying out Ringfit Adventure (I think it's just that $80 price tag that's delaying the purchase for now). I'm trying new things lately to see what fits me, and most importantly, pushes me.

3. New Computer/Drawing Set-up
This one is also going to take some saving up, but very much worth the efforts. I want to replace my current set-up here at home. I'd like for this to help me be able to work at home as a second business, further than it has been in 2019.

First, my laptop. While it's not a bad one, it's in need of repairs both internally and externally. But also considering the fact that I want to start gaming on PC as well, I may as well replace it altogether. I've already found a good one online thanks to a friend of mine, and with diligent saving, I may be able to get it within a couple months!

Next, my drawing tablet. I technically have two: a 10.1 Samsung Note, and a Huion screen-less tablet. The Note is fine, but sluggish and not as big as I'd like. The Huion tablet is great actually, but I've yet to be even remotely comfortable without a screen. The fact that I'll be drawing even more to catch up on projects, I'd prefer a nice large screen tablet that can keep up with me!

4. Starting a Youtube/Twitch Channel
This one is going to take the most guts for me. I'm a generally shy person when it comes to the general public, so deciding to start an art channel would be a whole new thing. My aim is to start out with chill streams where I may play some relaxing music and draw live.

When I start having a decent following, I may step it up from there and branch out to other things like gaming or even cooking! Just a (mostly) family-friendly channel that can be played freely in someone's home, like a home channel! My inspiration for this is mostly Youtuber Brutalmoose with his laid-back way of doing things. It would be nice to be the background noise for someone else's environment.

5. Improving Mental and Physical Health
I think I can safely say that I've made some progress with my overall health. But there has sadly been some new obstacles that started in 2019 that I'd like to nip in the bud.

In 2019, they found ovarian cysts, which are a result of hormonal imbalance. These are extremely painful, and can cause very sharp pains in my abdomen, as well as other symptoms. Because of this discovery, I've had to start taking hormonal birth control despite trying to avoid them since I was in my teens. Anyway, I want to pray and stay focused on solving this issue once and for all so I can feel human again.

As far as mental health, on the other hand, it's been given the upper hand. I think with all these new experiences and opportunities, it has lifted some of the heavy weight that is depression. But I want to go a step further in 2020, and keep it to where this feels a lot more natural to me, instead of it being me knowing how to fight the tears away, I don't want so many tears to begin with. Also, the mental torture of wanting to assume the worst in relationships needs to go, too!

Others
- Managing money and time better
- Traveling more
- Promotion in the work place (I'd like a more stable position and pay)
- Fresh start to my room (replacing furniture that has aged, clearing out in general, etc.)

Again, sorry for the ramble! My brain is on auto-pilot, but I wanted to try <3

1) Transition

I'm pre-anything MtF transgender. I don't really like to open up that much about it since there's still a lot of hatred in the world and that probably isn't ever going to be fully eradicated from society. Additionally, I don't really see it as something that defines me, it's just something I am and so there isn't a whole lot to talk about regarding it. That said, fear has held me back too long and I feel like it's time to be true to myself and live as I see fit. Pretty sure not addressing it has been having negative effects on goals 2 and 3 on this list.

2) Take better care of myself physically, such as eating healthier and engaging in more strenuous exercise than I have in the past

I've never been particularly knowledgeable about consuming a proper balanced diet. My immediate family has never really known and so I wasn't taught from a young age, but also it seems like there's so much conflicting information and what's good for some parts of your body (like fruits having vitamins or red meat containing iron) are otherwise terrible for you (citrus fruits and other acidic foods eat away at your tooth enamel, while red meat increases colorectal cancer risk). I'm currently going through some issues with teeth, so I've got the drive to learn to eat a diet more friendly to the mouth and the body as a whole inasmuch as possible.

Meanwhile, I exercise but as with the eating healthy bit above, I don't really know all the best exercises to do and so I probably don't get the most out of it that I can. I also grapple a bit with depression so sometimes I just don't get around to it. I want to make it more of a priority moving forward.

3) Take better care of myself emotionally and mentally

Tying into both of the points above, my mental health is pretty garbage and it brings my emotional state down alongside it. I need to learn to better deal with stress and anxiety and not let them bog me down. However it is that I might figure it out, I don't know, but I very much want to put forth the effort to learn.

4) Become a published author (and maybe more?)

I've always been more comfortable writing rather than speaking because I've been quiet and timid since early childhood. As such, writing has always been appealing to me and came more naturally. I have some stories that have been bouncing around in my head for some time, I just need to figure out getting them published in a manner I find agreeable.

You never know what might happen with media you create; whether your work might become the next big thing, be decently popular, or be overlooked and totally ignored by the public. If my books proved popular enough to garner opportunities for realizations in other forms like a tv series, movies, or video games, I would totally be interested in going down those paths too. I'm not going to count my chickens before they hatch though, so even just getting my books out into the world for people to read will be sufficient enough for me.

5) Get desired collectibles!

Enough of the heavy stuff. To wrap it up, I intend to acquire a bunch of collectibles that I've wanted for some time, basically some specific Easter Eggs like Waluigi, Ditto, Kirby, Dark, Leaf, etc. and the Pok? Ball. I have no idea how I'll do it since I'm always low on bells, but I guess maybe I'll try to force myself to redeem collectibles from events that I don't like as much but that might sell for more.

Sorry that it's kind of hard to make out the details. It's supposed to be a picture of me writing a novel, with a pair of other books I wrote in a bookstand on the table. The book in the front is supposed to have a #1 Best Seller sticker on the cover, but it's hard to read. Oh, and trans flag bracelet to tie into the first goal. Hopefully it is acceptable.

That’s my entry. Please excuse all mistakes. English isn’t my first language and it has been a while since I wrote a longer text.

1. Be good at university. I study german and history to become a teacher. My university is three hours away from home so I have to travel a lot with the train and I am so worn out. I want to be done. I learn a lot now and I want to finish as soon as possible. I want to say goodbye to this town. I don’t feel at home there and I want to work, earn my own money and be happy. So that’s my number one goal for 2020. Early 2021 I should be done!
2. Be healthier. I think that’s something many people want. I don’t know if I will success but either way my boyfriend helps me a lot. I am vegetarian since I am 19ten so about 9 years and still I am unhealthy as heck haha I need to eat more vegetables, less drinks with sugar and be more active. I hated sport for as long as I can think.
3. Progress with my art skills. Drawing was for a long time a wish of mine. I started last year in july and I want to progress a lot this year. I am excited to see how it will go and what goals I can reach.
4. Improve my english. I want to learn more english. Not active but rather through english games and TV-shows. I think my english isn’t really bad but also not the best. I read latley a lot of scientific english books and I struggle a little bit. Normal books are not a issue at all but this is another level of english.
5. Cook more new thing. I tend to cook a lot oft hings I know already. I should improve my cooking skills with new recipes.
Word count: 325

As for the drawing: It encludes everything. Everything is under the roof of the university ^^ The rat is remi the rat from the disney movie and stands for cooking of course.

1. finish school and get an apprenticeship

i want to be a kindergarten teacher and for that i need to finish my school education and get an apprenticeship! i really hope i can power through school since its a little hard for me to go there but my grades are good and i just need to make it until may :,D
i just have to get it together and just go to school everyday

2. get a lot of shinies

i love to hunt for shinies in pokemon so i hope i can get even more this year :D ill use the masuda methode a lot and just hatch eggs while watching youtube or streams but i also hope i can get some from raiding. i also want to get every alcremie topping as a shiny so ill have to hunt 7 of them.

3. have a pretty new horizons town

im sooo excited for the new animal crossing game, i hope to play it a lot and that i enjoy it a lot!! i want to make a really pretty town, i dont have a theme yet but i really want chrissy and francine in it next to each other with lots of blue, pink and white flowers around them. i also hope we get new pwps or things we can craft that will look good in town. my first town is usually a mix of a lot of themes because i want to try out everything xD i also hope to get a second town later on which will be even more pretty because i know the game better

4. get more healthy

i really want to eat more healthy and drink less soda. i also want to work out more and lose weight. ill stick to water the whole week except for the weekends and i will work out at least 4 times a week! i also bought just dance for the switch to get a little fun work out when i dont have time for more. i also want to cook more so i eat more healthy stuff c:

5. write and draw more

i love to write stories and draw but i usually dont feel like it because i feel like it wont be good in the end. but i learned that thats the wrong attitude because i cant get better if i dont practice. so for this year i really want to write a lot of the stories i have in my head but never put into words and i try to draw at least once every week (but i hope more) and i also try to not get discouraged if it doesnt turn out the way i want it to.

I didn't really have any goals but I guess this has helped me think about that so here is what I came up with...

1. My first goal that I thought of would be to eat healthier and to stop snacking so much. I wouldn't say I'm overweight at all, but I would like to slim down a bit and get healthier so I don't have a heart attack from sitting down or something.. At Uni I live across the road from a supermarket so the convenience of being able to go and grab cheap snacks like crisps and chocolate is a little TOO convenient. For the new year I'm going to stop buying snacks as frequently cause if I don't have them I cant eat them, simple as. If I do snack I'll try and make it healthier things only- but mainly I'd like to try and stick to my main meals and nothing in between, other than drinks- which would preferably be water.

2. My next goal would relate to my first one I guess. I want to start doing more exercise again to slim down a bit. For January I'm just going to use the weights in my room as well as doing push ups etc- as I want to avoid the new years rush at the gym. Then in February I plan to start going to the gym, mainly to use the running and maybe cycling machines. I refuse to run outside cause its cold and the only place I could really run is the park near me, which is basically a giant hill. Hopefully next time I post a picture in the WDYLL thread I'm gonna be B U F F.

3. My third goal would be to go to bed on time and try not to stay up late doing whatever I do. Last year I'd end up staying awake till 2am/3am for no reason just scrolling through my phone. I'm going to try and be in bed by 10 or 11 everyday this year- bar days I go out, and not allow myself to use my phone in bed. I know people always tell me it but not looking at screens before bed really does help. Going to bed earlier will also mean I'll have to get my Uni work done on time so I'm not up till 3am doing that either. Going to sleep earlier will hopefully help my health AND productivity.

4. Read more. I wouldn't say I'm very adventurous with reading nor very knowledgeable in general. Id like to think if I read more, if at all, Ill just become more knowledgeable- especially in graphic design which is what I'm doing at Uni. I don't usually go out of my way to teach myself outside of class which I really need to begin doing if I want to be successful.

5. My final goal would just be continue having fun. I'd say 2019 was one of the best years of my life so I'd just say continue that energy through the 2020's!

1. Go Outside more.
My anxiety makes me don't want to go out more but since i have to go to the city to do my TAFE course, I hope I can go and meet new friends at that TAFE and maybe go out with them for fun or something. i dont really have friends in real life but online friends (Such as Katsura & Midoriya) I hope i can can meet them soon in real life too!

2. Ace grades!
this year my grades was very bad. I want to seriously improve my grades. Well, i didnt really have a school life last year and i was constanly left alone and my only friend was doing TAFE. I was so lonely at school. So basically i couldnt really do school well. i failed so bad but im going to do TAFE! I hope i can pass TAFE and get a job! (I still havent found a job)

3. Stop Procrastinating.
I keep playing many games on my laptop or my switch which i bought this year. I wonder how i can stop procrastinating. as Goal #2 said , my grades were very bad last year. i will always get distracted (maybe this site could distract me too XP) no matter what the situation is and i hate that.

4. be more brave
Like Goal #1 says, i cant go outside due to my anxiety. Also there is a problem. i have anime related clothing however i dont like to wear them cause i feel like i will get judged too much. however no such situation has happened but im still cringing because of that. i did go to an Anime convention once but it was an anime Convention so i was fine. i still wear it sometimes but i keep it under my jacket which no one can see.

5. I want to go to Japan!
Not just for Anime merch, also for the history as well. Merch can be too expensive here, so i just want to get them in japan cause its cheaper. I go to malaysia on holidays and buy it there cause its closer to Japan. ( I live in Australia, STUPID SHIPPING Prices)

Please don’t mind me Vrisnem I just want to make some resolutions as well. The pastel headings are really pretty by the way!!!

1. Get in touch with my family and friends more often

My aunt sadly passed away from cancer last year. Her passing broke my heart and I wish I had spent more time with her.

It made me realise that I should not take my family and friends for granted. Sometimes I put off calling my parents or checking up on my friends thinking that I could do it later. Thanks to that bad habit I often find myself drifting away from people I love. I will definitely do my best to get in touch with everyone more frequently, even if it’s only a quick text message. Don’t want to be a stranger!

2. Put more care for myself

I feel that I’ve let work took over my life last year. I became an email campaign manager for an important client, and boy it was so stressful. I was constantly on edge thanks to tight deadlines. Heck, I even dreamt about building emails almost daily! As a result I’ve neglected myself. No more cooking since I was always so exhausted. Drank way too much coffee daily as well. Relaxing on weekends? That’s a pipe dream.

Luckily my contract with them has ended, and I’m now assigned to a different client. At the moment I’m taking some time off from work since I’m so burnt out. Once I’m back, I aim to balance my personal and work life better, which hopefully will be manageable since this new client is less demanding that the last one. No more staying up until 1am working! I will push back any unreasonable deadlines from now on.

3. Spend more time with my cat!

As a result of me working all the time, I feel like I haven’t been giving my cat the attention he deserved. I try my best to give attention and play with him whenever I can, but I got a nagging feeling that he might be lonely. Every time I got back home he got so clingy, complete with sad meows as well.

During my break, I'm definitely going to spoil him a lot more. He’d been there for me through high and low so it’s time for me to return the favor! My mom is going to visit me soon, so he will have a company when I’m back to work later c: I’m also considering adopting another cat, but not 100% sure yet since I live in an apartment and space is a concern.

4. Draw and paint more

I haven’t been practicing drawing and painting as much as I wanted to. Most of the time I always ended up procrastinating and doing nothing productive. This year I really want to change that so I can finally improve my drawing.

I want to learn more about oil painting, value, edges, gestures, and colours. In order to achieve this I’m going to practice practice practice. No better way to improve than practicing like there is no tomorrow. So far I have done some value and gesture practices. There is an art class near my office as well, I'm definitely considering entering!

I also have several original characters from a comic I’m currently planning. I’m dying to finally do some drawings and concepts of them. Speaking of comic….

5. Start working on said comic

A few years back I had a story idea for a comic. The more I developed the initial idea, the more I’m in love and I desperately want to put it into creation. Unfortunately I got busier and busier and as a result I kept putting the comic into backburner. But enough is enough, I don’t want to neglect my passion project anymore. I’ve decided that 2020 is finally the year that I make this into reality!

In order to achieve this goal I’m aiming to at least dedicate two hours daily to work on it. Doesn’t matter what’s being worked on during those two hours; could be storyboarding, story drafting, dialogue, or drawing concepts. As long as I’m continuously working on it, it’ll go somewhere c:

My goals for 2020...!

1. Find some new bands and artists that I like. Let's start with something less impactful. I listen a lot to the same songs. There is nothing wrong with listening to songs I listened to 10 years ago but it would be nice to finde new cool artists and bands to listen to. I found some great artists and bands last year and want to remember to continue exploring whenever I feel like it. Spotify's recommendations are actually pretty good for that.
2. Take lots of pictures and videos too! Again, something I have done so far too, but it's important to actively keep doing it. Around Christmas I organized all the digital pictures that have been taken in my family from 2003 onwards (and that I could find). Some years have more pictures, some have less. With time you'll forget what happened, but pictures will remind you of nice events and videos will really take you back to times gone. I haven't been very good with videos, especially about more mundane situations. But while organizing I noticed that I really enjoy watching the old mundane videos. They are like time traveling. So I'll try to especially take more videos!!
3. Be more mindful/in the moment and reduce phone time. Now it's starting to get tougher! I really hate it when I spend time with someone and they are on their phone. I don't do it when I'm with other people, but I do do it when I'm alone. But when you are somewhere and you are on your phone, you kind of lose the moment. Even if it's something like a journey on public transportation and you are kind of just "using the time" to entertain yourself or even be mildly productive, you lose being in the moment and watching other people and engaging with your own thoughts. So while it seems like being on the phone is gaining something for time that can't be used otherwise, that's NOT TRUE. So I want to reduce phone time and be even more present. I'm also going to start monitoring how long I play Fire Emblem Heroes.
4. Meditate. It's getting tougher!! I've tried it a few times but it's hard to get into meditation. However I've heard from several people that it's very beneficial (and it ties to the previous point). I don't have much more to say about this, let's see how it goes...
5. Actively play Ring Fit Adventure. Yep, it's that Switch game. It's tough! I bought it, but I've only played it twice so far. Granted, I've been extremely tired after coming home most of the days and been extremely busy, and over Christmas and New Year's I haven't had access to it. Ring Fit Adventure is a serious workout (believe it or not) and I want to put in the effort. I'm not expecting any crazy results that can be seen, but I am expecting my general condition to become better with it (not that my condition is bad, but of course it can be better because I don't work out).

I'd say I have some pretty good goals. I've basically decided on them either way but thanks for prompting me to kinda write them down and "organizing" them for me to see clearly!

Visualization of less phone time:

1. Score more goals in floorball -> I?ve been playing the sport on and off for a little bit more than a year now but I really want to step it up and be a forward! I?m thinking of doing more shooting and passing drills, and looking up what other things I can do to practice at home. Hopefully I can sit in with our coach?s PE class again this sem because the extra time I get to play is really helpful!

2. Be better at replying to friends!! -> I?m really bad at this which is not good because irl my friends tell me I?m a good listener so they might be expecting the same online. I plan to at least inform them when something is distracting me? Like a quick ?brb? text at least. The more drastic plan is to not put down my phone until I?ve replied but I?m not sure if it will work because sometimes the thing that?s distracting me? IS my phone. But hopefully the ?brb? approach will make things a bit better.

3. Exercise more -> Even though I have a sport, whenever my boyfriend invited me to go jogging with him, I decline because I only ever feel motivated about running when it?s for sports reasons. This year, that will change because? I?ve reinstalled Pokemon GO! This past break I?ve been jogging around my yard trying to help my Bulbasaur buddy find some candy and my dogs are really enjoying the exercise. I am also sort of maybe enjoying the exercise, who knows :----) But yeah, even if it?s not jogging, it will still give me more motivation to go on long walks!

4. Clean up acnl town -> I?m pretty sure that the only reason my town doesn?t have perfect town status right now is because I keep dumping my things on the ground so I?m going to have to sort through all the stuff I have in storage and sell everything that doesn?t spark joy (and can be reordered through the catalog). I also have to stop waiting until furniture is on the premium list of retail before selling my seasonal furniture because my mayor is already ridiculously rich and doesn?t need more money. Will get rid of my clutter with extreme prejudice to make Isabelle proud!

5. Make more clothes -> My ig and twitter bookmarks are full of references for cute clothes I want to make on new leaf and here I am, not making cute clothes!! I?m going to try to make at least one dress every other week? Like just set aside a day and time for it that I?ll only skip if I have an exam to study for.

didn't know how to draw the other things so i ended up mangling action poses gomen

1. I'm hoping to make at least one good friend this year. Whether it's someone who's currently just an acquaintance or someone I haven't even met yet, I want to build a new close friendship with someone. This will probably be the most difficult one because I'm terrible at connecting with people, but I'm hoping I can work on my skills in that area this year.

2. Buy New Horizons and get as much enjoyment as I can from it. I've been waiting for years and I really miss getting to have that fresh new AC experience that I haven't had since NL came out. I was in grade seven when that happened, and now I'm in my second year of university (yikes). I really want to play NH for some quality relaxation, because right now I'm playing WW and PC to pass the time, but NH will be so much better.

3. Focus more on academics instead of constantly procrastinating and slacking. I've been doing well in school, but I'm not proud of my study habits at all. I'm hoping to concentrate more on my studies without overwhelming myself and try to put myself out there more by participating in research for my university and taking on another TA position.

4. Finish a writing project. I have so many things I've tried to write but can never finish because I keep getting writer's block and losing my motivation and inspiration, and I find it very difficult to come up with ideas on what to write. I was able to finish something in 2017 that I was fairly happy with, but haven't had any success since, so I'm hoping to get something done this year.

5. Stop being so self-conscious. I care way too much about what other people think about me, which I feel hinders my ability to make friends, and I'm working to try to change that. I'm hoping to improve myself in that regard and stop being so shy.

5 goals
1. don't use my phone without a purpose
i always check my one and just started scrolling around but i don't thin that's very healthy. my screen time average is always at least 3 hours, and most of that is useless scrolling. just in typing this i randomly picked up my phone and i don't know why!!

2. learn something new everyday
or else i feel like my brain is going to rot away. i don't know how i'm going to do this... maybe i'll get a book or look up stuff online. if anyone has any recommendations let me know!

3. get the arcade collectibles!!
i've got one down - the goomba - thanks to ZombifiedHorror!!! i'm so happy! now i only need the pinky and invader. hopefully these events will get be a little bit more tbt! if anyone wants to trade a dreamy popper for a pinky or invader PM ME!!!!!

4. decorate my new horizons island to fit one theme of my choosing and make it not a mess of hybrid flowers
i don't know what i want my theme to be yet. i kind of like a neon pastel colour palette (kind of like a retro diner-ish theme) but i think it all depends on the game and the hybrids/flowers available. maybe there'll be new plants as well!!

5. spend my free time productively not just watching youtube videos
i want to learn how to play the piano at least moderately well and improve my cello skills (my bow hold is wrong but i've really struggled with changing it). i also want to learn different computer science techniques/algorithms because i don't really know many of those and i feel like that's a crucial skill. also, i want to read more, which is a pretty basic resolutio that i always have but never complete. right now, i'm reading Sophie's World by Jostien Gaarder and i hope to finish it soon (or at least before the end of this year).

My Resolutions!

Since I'm not a fan of fluffing up things and prefer to get to the point ideally, I did more than 5 entries. ;)

1. Since I will be getting married to my fiancee, the love of my life, in May this year, my top resolution is to be the best man/husband I can be for her from having her back always to building her up in all aspects of life. <3

2. Due to the nature of getting married, I would like to also be more disciplined with my finances so my fiancee and I can afford the home we plan on buying soon, pay our debts, and still build up savings and retirement funds in the process so we can have a financially stable life together.

3. Since I have started a new job recently in the insurance industry, I would like to continue pushing myself to being the best provider/producer I can be so I can work towards better opportunities in the future and to also provide the best service possible to my clients which is key to being successful in such a competitive industry.

4. Additionally, I would like to stay fit especially now that I am working a desk job instead of a very mobile one so I can stay healthy and to improve myself in that regard. I look forward to doing yard work and doing handyman sort of stuff around my new home! :)

5. Be more open to new friendships especially with my fiancee starting a new life together and integrating ourselves to the community we plan on moving into (from church to our new neighbors).

6. Along with the other things above, I would like to continue improving my cooking and baking skills so I can make more kinds of delicious food! Out of all things, I would like to learn how to make the many delicious dishes in Asian & Westernized-Asian cuisine since it is my favorite kind of food to eat (ramen, hibachi, Westernized Chinese food, etc.).

7. I also would like to learn how to solder so I can modify my game consoles and repair electronics for the fun of it (& to save money by not buying already modified consoles lol)!

All entries up to post #117 have been reviewed.

If I have liked your post it means that your entry has met the criteria to receive the maximum reward available from this event: 20 Mementos and 1 Balloon Token. Your name has been included on the list for when the big machine? distributes the currency.

If I haven't liked your post it means it is only eligible for 10 Mementos. You will have received a PM from me to inform you that your entry does not yet meet the criteria to receive the Balloon Token.

If I haven't like your post and you didn't receive a PM from me then it's possible I have missed your entry altogether! Please PM me if this is the case to resolve it ASAP. :)

This event closes in three hours time.

Five goals I currently have include

1. Buying my own switch Console

I currently either use my Aunts switch or the switch I share with my brother. But when Animal Crossing New Horizons comes out, I really would like my own switch that way I don't feel like I'm obligated to be sharing it with someone else. And the way I plan on obtaining one is by saving up money that I earn from selling stuff I no longer use.

2. Getting better grades

Last semester I topped all my classes and spent alot of time studying so my plan for the next semester is to keep dominating everyone and getting a flat uno in everything again.

3. Travel outside the country

I have always loved traveling and I usually travel with family but a long term goal of mine is to travel with friends abroad. The way I plan to do this is by saving money slowly so that eventually I'll have a good size of savings for travel funds. I would also travel somewhere that isn't too expensive like maybe Greece.

4. Draw and paint more

During the school semester I tend to lose focus on my hobbies and I haven't been drawing much lately. I like painting a lot because I find it relaxing but when I'm really stressed I don't usually draw because I feel too tired to do anything. My plan for painting more is by asking my aunt for her art supplies because it can get expensive and then trying to make at least one drawing or painting a week even if it's small.

5. Fix my sleep schedule

I sometimes go to bed at 7pm and then wake up for school 12 hours later. My plan is to fix my sleep schedule as I go to bed too early. I want to experience being a night owl

My 5 Goals

1. Do well in college this year. I haven't really been doing as well in my college courses these past 2 years. I know I could do much better in my classes if I actually could focus on my schoolwork and didnt procrastinate till the last minute. last semester ive had to drop classes because I didnt study enough for them. I'll try not to get distracted and make sure I study and do my homework as well as try to do assignments throughout the week rather a few hours before its due.
2. Stay more organized. tbh my room is usually a mess. I usually leave clothes on my chair, hardly ever do my bed and just leave clutter on my desk. I'll be less lazy and dedicate to cleaning up after myself by setting reminders (that will hopefully motivate me) about how cleaning up my room will benefit me mentally and spiritually.
3. I would like to go out more. I'm a pretty much a homebody. I'd much rather stay home alone than go anywhere, however it does get boring and depressing being at times. I'll ask my friends to hang out more often.
4. Go back to seeing a therapist. ive been struggling a lot with personal issues that i need help with. Ive been putting off seeing a therapist again because I didnt really enjoy it the first time so i didnt go again, but I think right now with my circumstances, I should be going again. i will make schedule a appointment to go to therapy again
5. I would like to draw more. I've always had an interest in art but never explored it. There is not really much I do with my free time besides play video games or watch tv shows. I will attempt to sketch more things in my free time instead of playing video games.
