Nicknames. Do you have one/like them?

I have several nicknames, depending on who's referring to me! I definitely like some of them more than others. I usually don't think about it much though! My family have always referred to me by a nickname, so I would probably think twice about if they referred to me by my full name lol. I would say the most recent nickname I've been given is the strangest so far.

Mine's the obvious Ben, but most people call me Benjamin.

I think it would be cool if people IRL called me J because that's what I also go by when I'm referring to myself online sometimes, but for now I'm known by my real name and I don't mind.

My deadname is severely common and doesn't have a shortened version. It's short already, hell.

You can't exactly shorten my chosen name either, but I'm okay with that. It sounds perfect the way it is. I don't have a nickname and I'm okay with that. Some people call me "Blue" but it's more of a name people in my life picked up so they don't have to address me using my chosen name. It's convenient for them to just use that nickname instead. It feels disrespectful, but what do I know?

My best friend calls me a cute nickname. I love it but it also makes me sad since at one point I thought it was because he liked me. Some relatives call me by a nickname of my first name but I don’t like it; I wouldn’t like it even if I was close to them. The only one I was okay with calling me by it was my late aunt.
