This is one of the 4 Events to be held during the Nikolympics. This Thread is for signing up for the Pokemon Event. If you sign up for this particualer Event, then you:
1. Promise the Admin that you will be here and not be a "no show". The Admins are working hard to make this Event fun for you all, and not showing up makes it harder for them.
2. Will participate in BOTH Mini-Events. If we let you sign up for only 1 of the Mini-Events here, it will just make this Event even smaller. We want you to participate in the full Event!
This Event will start __________, at _______. Make sure that you get here on time so we wont have to hold up anything!
Below is the Rulesets and Mini-Events for the Pokemon Event. Remember these Rules and do NOT break any of them! With that all said and done, I welcome everyone to the 2009 Nikolympics: Pokemon Tournament. As you all know, I am the co-leader of the Nikolympics and Admin of the Pokemon event(s). There will be two events for this game. This is the first tournament for Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
So, read over the rules below, and if you agree to them, post here so I can add you to the entry list.

The 2009 Nikolympics: Pokemon WiFi Tournament Rules</big></big></big>
1. You must have either Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, with WiFi capabilities to enter.
2. You must have a team of six Pokemon, not including the following:
Mewtwo, Mew, Wynaut, Wobbuffet, Lugia, Ho-oh, Latios, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Garchomp, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Manaphy, Darkrai, Arceus
Note: Latias is allowed, but not with the Soul Dew Item.
*These Pokemon are not allowed due to them being ubers.
3. All basic clauses will be in effect. That's Sleep, Evasion, OHKO, Hax Item, and Species Clauses:
Sleep Clause: No two Pokemon of the same side should be asleep at the same time. Exceptions being Rest, and "no other choice" situations(ie. Effect Spore ability, or getting Encored on Hypnosis).
Evasion Clause: No use of moves that alter the ability to hit with attacks. This includes Flash, Double Team, & Sand-Attack. This does not include Acupressure and Metronome, which could randomly increase evasiveness.
OHKO Clause: No using Guillotine, Horn Drill, Fissure, or Sheer Cold. Destiny Bond and Perish Song are allowed, however.
Hax Item Clause: No using hold items that rely on luck. Hax Items include Lax Incense, King's Rock, Brightpowder, Razor Claw, Scope Lens, and Quick Claw.
Species Clause: No two Pokemon of the same species on the same team. This does not apply to those in the same evolutionary line(ie. you can't have two Alakazam, but you can have an Alakazam and a Kadabra).
4. All battles for the first half of rounds will be set at a strict Level 50 Single battle. The second half of rounds will be set at a strict Level 100 Double battle.
5. All entries must post the results of their battles before the set date given for each round.
6. As always, this tournament will go until we have one person standing. That one person will be declared the winner of the first tournament.
7. If you turn out to be a no-show, I will PM you with a set date as to which you must do your battle before. If you fail to show up before the date, you will be disqualified from the tournament.
8. While the main tourney is, as mentioned, for Single Battles over WiFi, there will be a Side-Tourney as well. The current Side-Tourney will be the second tournament in the Pokemon section and will have less strict rules. One rule I will reveal is that you may enter with ubers. (Not accepting Arceus as it is only obtainable by hacking the game.)
9. Please respect your fellow battlers. That means no flaming or spamming, or insulting your opponents. We are supposed to have fun here, so don't go ruining it for everyone else. Any member found practicing bad sportsmanship will be dealt with accordingly.
10. Now, the rules I must add, and that I hope will never have to be enforced:
If two people finish a battle with conflicting stories, BOTH will be disqualified. Furthermore, if later on the identity of the untruthful individual is found out, he or she will be banned from all future tournaments. This includes those who disconnect intentionally and lie about it.
Furthermore, if it is found out that a battler has been using hacked Pokemon, he or she will be banned from the future tournament.

ATTENTION: Hacked Pokemon are NOT allowed in this tournament! This includes hacking rare candy to level your Pokemon up to 100. If your whole party consists of level 100's, you will not be able to enter.
Also, if you find out that your opponent has a hacked Pokemon in their team, contact me immediately! You MUST have proof that said player has hacked Pokemon, however.
Any false claims will be ignored.
