There were over 50 Nintendo items in New Leaf thanks to play coins. But sadly, play coins aren't a feature the switch. Will there be a way to obtain these Nintendo items in the game, or will they be cut entirely, or even be available as dlc like city folk? Some of these items have been in the series since the beginning, like the master sword and the arwind, and it would be a shame if they don't get in again. I really do like having Nintendo items at my house. I always have a Nintendo themed room somewhere in my house or museum.

They had the Nintendo items long before play coins were a thing, so I'd assume they'd at least have some of the Nintendo items in the new game without play coins, too.

They will almost certainly return. Maybe not all of items, but I'd expect there to be some Nintendo-themed items.

Nobody really knows for sure. Personally, I think that Nook Miles would be a good system to replace play coins, but I don't know what they'll end up doing. As long as we don't have to use real money.

I guess there will be probably a new way to obtain them. Either as a reward (like for Nook Miles) or maybe
you get them via a event. Alternative, they could make it really easy and allow you to buy now those fortune cookies where the items are in it via typical bells instead of the play coins.

The least, the better. I hate it when Nintendo decides it would be fun to add Mario, Zelda, Kirby, or Splatoon series related items or characters to Animal Crossing. It's tacky, it cheapens the brand (Animal Crossing). Enough with this nonsense already.

You mean fortune cookie items?

They will probably sell them for bells instead of play coins.

I can't imagine them getting rid of the fortune cookies.

I think in another thread it was theorized that Nook Miles could be used to get these items. Certainly hoping to see these items back.

Yeah, I think they will have the Nintendo items in there somehow. Doesn't make a lot of sense to get rid of them. Of course though, they did show a lot of new items in the game, so I imagine they might cut out some old items to make room for the new ones. It would be too much for me collecting tons of new items on top of the ones we had for New Leaf. It would take forever for me to collect them all, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Nintendo items are gone.

Nintendo items have been there since gamecube, and they seem to come back every game, even in Pocket Camp...so OI doubt they'll get rid of them. They'll likely be in the game, just with a different way of getting them,

True. I think there will be Nintendo items. Even some new items would be cool too, maybe.

They will most likely have some Nintendo Items. They seem to be really popular and are usually pretty cool items.

I would like to see a return of Nook's end-of-month lottery. I enjoy collecting the tickets for use at the end of the month and potentially winning items I couldn't get otherwise. It would be great if Nintendo-specific items were part of this lottery.
