Nintendo Network and eShop are down...

Yikes, hope they resolve it. People who have the game preloaded won't even be able to play since they won't be able to download the unlock key for their game...

Could be scheduled maintenance, anyhow, I don't foresee it being down longer than 48 hours.

Considering it appears to be A DNS issue, it'll definitely take a while to repair.

I'm off work ill and wanted to play Splatoon 2 to keep me occupied after getting ouchy injections this morning so this is annoying. :(

Online servers appear to be working, I was just playing Smash Ultimate online a few minutes ago. Albeit rather laggy.. but that's probably my end since my ISP is being total butts atm.

I'd heard that Smash servers were up but unfortunately Splatoon's aren't. Being unable to connect was how I found out it was down.

I'm not following. I've dealt with DNS problems on my website, and nothing took 48+ hours to fix. At work, when we make changes to our DNS and DHCP servers, things take effect instantly. Granted our private DNS servers are not as massive as something like ICANNs

Not working for me, still getting a DNS error. I tried using the Google DNS servers but same issue. Perhaps it depends on your location too.

Edit: working now

I'm now able to connect but I needed to change the Primary DNS manually and that was never the case before.
So now I see some of my friends online but the e-shop still won't work.

I tend to have problems with my DNS settings or IP address sometimes, it just takes a switch of numbers usually.

It would've said on the website that it was scheduled, which it didn't. I agree about it not being down longer than 48 hours though

As long as I can get the Bunny Day update tomorrow, and it'll ping Thursday night, I'm good!
