Nintendo switch skins/stickers

I'm in the process of buying a nintendo switch and was looking at all the cool skins and stickers that you can get for them.

I looked at a few of the sites that offer them and found a few that people had said didn't ruin their console.

I was curious to know how many of you had put skins/stickers on your switch consoles, where you got them from and/or your opinion on them.

I'm hoping it'll help me buy the right one.

I haven't purchased a Switch yet (need to see a few more games come out for it to see if it'll be worth it for me), but if I had and wanted to put a skin on it, I'd probably get something from DecalGirl. I've been using skins from there for years on my Kindles and know that they don't cause damage. Plus, there are a ton of cool designs.

If you end up getting something (from anywhere), I hope you'll post some pictures; I'd love to see how you customize your console.

Decalgirl was one of the sites that I saw that did no damage to the device. I saw lots of good things regarding them so I might get something from them

I'll definitely post some pictures of my switch once it's all customised ^-^

I dunno if I'm allowed to link to sites or not, but I recently found a website that was reported on like IGN or GameSpot as being one of the places to go to get skins and wraps for the Switch that won't damage them and I plan to get a pair of purple Joy Con skins (each indiviual joy con skin is like five USD so around ten to do both).

I kinda wish I could find a custom Super Nintendo controller style Joy Con or Joy Con skin to be honest though. At an affordable price, even.

I'm surprised nintendo hasn't jumped onboard yet tbh. The switch has been out for about a year hasn't it? And there's barely any official customisation or limited edition consoles.

The switch is by far the most customisable platform out there, I'm sure we'll see some really cool stuff in the next few years ^-^

I should hope they'd jump on board with it. So far the closest thing they have is something they're doing on the website's store in Japan where you can buy a Switch and mix and match the colors of the two Joy Cons that will be attached to it. But no dock nor charging cable are included. As such it costs less...but for new Switch owners they'll need to at least by a charger eventually.

So maybe they'll see these sites offering skins for the docks, tablet, joy cons, the grip and even the pro controller and start their own line of themed stuff. I know they offer interchangeable faceplates for the New 3DS XL.

I don't use decals/stickers on my switch just because I don't really see them as necessary and I'm a bit overprotective of my switch so I'm wary about decorating it, but if you're into that I'm sure there's plenty of options out there! I've looked at decalgirl and it seems like a good option.

I ordered glossy orange skins for my joycons and console because my grey joycons and the back of my Switch have shiny spots from the finish coming off due to playing so much.. I was considering getting new joycons but then I noticed the back of my switch and decided on trying to find a skin instead.

I ordered a “dbrand” skin. I’ve been doing research and it looks good and apparently safe to use now. I’m still kinda scared of the back logo coming off whenever I decide to take it off but oh well.. the back is permanently damaged anyway so it’s not a big deal. Plus if it does I’ll just get another skin.

I'm ordering a dbrand skin for my younger brother soon as I'm buying him a switch for his birthday. I have to admit they look really nice even with just plain colors.

The fact that they cover the back of the console is cool too, something that decalgirl didn't do from what I saw. I'm still waiting in anticipation for it to arrive in the next couple of weeks, loving my switch in the meantime ^-^

Yeah I'm so happy with them! The finish is real nice and they were super easy to apply. I haven't placed the main piece on the console itself cause I've got dock bands on, but I think it looks fantastic, I'd highly recommend getting a skin if you own a switch.

You'll be safe if you get one from decalgirl (i.e. where mine came from). Everyone I know has had zero issues from them and as you can see I'm more then happy ^-^

The skin/sticker itself is super easy to apply because it's made of thicker material so it doesn't get bent when putting it on and there's good markers (lights and buttons on your switch) to help line everything up.
