Mafia Noatun, City of Genesis | Bayonetta 2 Mafia | Umbra Witches Win

X9REPbE.png

"I came to pick up a friend. It's almost her curfew."

The Witches had already made it near to the top of the Holy Mountain. Stopping to rest for a short while, they began contemplating who was responsible for their Umbran sister's tragic demise.

"It's time to play the Sages' own game," Zendel suggested. "You will be cast off this cliff, and if you can fly to safety, you will prove yourself as a Witch. If you do not, it is your own doing."

N e s s
had no time to react before Tensu kicked them in the chest, pushing them off the mountain.

She never came back, though it was actually because they hadn't mastered the ability to fly yet.

N e s s was killed and unveiled to be an Umbra Witch.

Welcome to the Night phase. Here you can discuss the game as it stands and express any regrets you may have for your decisions so far. This is also a good time for anyone interested in becoming replacements to sign up.

Nightmares and toadsworthy have failed to participate in today's vote. If they fail to vote on Day 3, they will be eliminated from the game without further warning.

N e s s, however, has failed for two Days in a row, and so they will be killed and replaced by Jacob at the start of Day 3.

Night 2 has begun and the Sages have until the end of the countdown to decide on a Witch to exterminate. Once they have made their decision, they must send it via private message.

If they fail to make a decision by the end of the countdown, Day 3 will commence without any further deaths. They are encouraged to decide either way before the end of the countdown, however.

Bowie - did you mean to include someone else instead of Lucanosa as having failed to vote? Since they're dead lol.

And just to check - Ness was just killed, and also eliminated for failing to vote for 2 in-game days?

How do you mean about being mafia and cooperating sorry?

I think this game works like a normal mafia game here in that respect, where the mafia players (sages here) are told from the start who their teammates are. That's how I understood the OP in this and the previous game.

Wait!

I thought that all of our roles are hidden from each other and we have to figure out whose town and whose mafia.

E.g

Ness is mafia, he figures out Toads is mafia, then Toads figures out Ness is mafia so they work together to get rid of town players??

I'm confused.

And we would have lost Ness anyway because of his inactivity, I knew it was a waste of a vote but I couldn't vote Primarina because nobody else would.

Sorry, my bad! Fixed now.

Yes. Jacob will replace him now.

Sages know who each other are. They need to know this so that they can decide on Witches to kill during the Night and things like that.

I do believe you just accidentally confirmed you are Town Zendel!

Mafia players are told who their fellow mafia (sages here) are at the start of the game. In standard games on TBT they are given a QuickTopic thread link that the GM hosts for mafia chat. This game is a bit different in that respect, but I believe mafia are still told who the other mafia are - they just get to choose how and where they want to chat to coordinate.

If I voted Toads or Primarina, Ness still would've died because of the two votes against him and the fact that he didn't vote so he was eliminated.

It would've been a tie if I voted Toads.

What happens if votes hit a tie? Does the person who got the votes first get lynched?

Oh!

I think I get eliminated now then, for giving out my alignment. Oh well.

But it was an accident, so maybe not???

Yes, that's how it works. First person to get the higher vote dies.

No, you won't be eliminated. Everyone who becomes Rosa is at risk of being voted for and thus revealing themselves as a Witch by the end of it (as only Witches can become her), so unveiling your role can be kind of part of the game.

Oh yeah!

Now you know kiddos.

yeah = yay

So Ness would have still been eliminated in any circumstance, damn that sucks.

"Yeah, great plan, love. 'You can't be on your own, so let's go into the depths of hell'."

Welcome to the afterlife portals, a surprise element. Before the Witches head to Inferno on Day 3 to save Jeanne, they will be given another opportunity to expel a Sage from their group.

Three players have been selected by random to have their roles unveiled, and one of these players is a Sage.

You have until the end of Night 2 to question the three players (and defend yourself if you are one of the selected three).

On this thread, you will vote for the player you want to lynch, using the normal command. Witch Time is disabled for this particular vote, and so are all of the items (not that anyone has bought any anyway).

Zendel

Nightmares

Uttumori

I think the way nightmares seemed to be teamed up with corrie and also voting against me for little to no reason then covering it up as a "reaction test" was weird, I don't know why she would waste a vote for a reaction test especially since you cant change/edit votes.

I'm gonna go with a random vote - I don't think we're gonna get any leads on D1, and voting someone out will help get the game moving along and maybe reveal some player alignments...or w/e

I'm gonna go with Mori, purely because she's questioning Luca more than the rest and I don't think his "chaotically evil" thing is worth analysing; like he said, he'd have to be pretty dumb to get a mafia DM and then say his playstyle is that
Unless...idk
Obviously there's a high chance she's town, but I just wanna vote and see a reaction to get more info
here you can see she changed her reason on voting 3 times, first she said it was random, then she said it was because i was questioning luca too much and finally she changed to it being a "reaction test"

Wow! This is awesome - which I can say as I'm not on that list lol.

Bowie - is voting compulsory? What happens if a player doesn't vote?

I see where you are coming from, and respectfully disagree. That's not how I read her post at all.

1 - explained what she's doing (a random vote) and why (lack of real leads and hope of generating them from the vote and potentially the lynch).

2 - explained why she chose Uttumori out of all the players, instead of a purely random vote. Whilst the reasoning is flimsy, and not worth a vote (in this game especially) in and of itself, that is a good reason to say your vote is "random". She then volunteered her reasoning for what bothered her about the questioning of Luca, and her own take on his post.

3 - explained there's a high chance Uttumori is Town, but that the vote - and possible lynch - will generate info to work with. The reference to wanting to see a reaction doesn't necessarily mean she expects one from Uttumori, nor does the vote mean Lani wants to see her actually lynched.

Those points, taken seperately and together in context, make sense to me. Is it the reading I would make, or the decision, or the wording I would personally use? Nope. But I see no logical disconnect within her post.

I am not saying she IS Town, or anything about you, Uttumori. Just that I interpret this post very differently. No idea if I'm on the right track or not, only time will tell lol.

^ sorry for the confusing switches between using "Uttumori" and "you" there. The 1, 2, and 3 points are meant to be 3rd person whilst the start and ending paragraphs are directed at Uttumori personally.

Well then if me questioning luca was her reason for voting, then her saying it was a "random" vote is kinda invalid, even if her reason was flimsy at best it wouldnt truly be a random vote. That being said I believe she had a different motive for voting.
