I wonder if we can change hemisphere's later on. Doubtful.

I was going to play in my own southern, but I don't want to start a game in autumn as it's close to winter, and summer is the season I like the best, so I might play northern.

I'll stay in my northern hemisphere, though having the choice is really cool.

Northern cause that will match real life for me

North, since that's the one I'm located at!
But I'm really glad people in the south have the option to experience their correct weather/seasons now!

I would choose the northern hemisphere to match the seasons where I live.

anyone who picked southern hemisphere hmu ahah. i picked northern hemisphere because i live in it, but if i lived in the southern hemisphere i don't know what i'd pick. i imagine that if this were my first animal crossing game ever i'd probably pick the southern hemisphere, but if i had played any animal crossing beforehand i would truly be torn. if i still had the same opinions and such that i have now, i'd like to still pick the southern hemisphere, but i also understand why people in this situation would want to go with the northern hemisphere.

It'd be neat if you could switch and stay in the seasons you want. Like say someone really wants a fall/winter town so they start in the southern hemisphere and switch to northern just before spring starts in game, or vice verse.

Anyway I'm starting in the northern hemisphere because that's where I live, but I am curious about how seasonal events will work.

I am from the Northern Hemisphere, so I will obviously choose it.

I do hope to see some Aussies and other people from the Southern Hemisphere do let's plays, though. I think it would be weird (NOT in a bad way, of course) and interesting to see the seasons backwards (Orange grass/trees in April, snow in July, lush green grass/trees in January, etc.)! XD

It may seem normal to you Southern Hemisphere dwellers, but to us Nothern Hemisphere dwellers, it is new. :p

northern for me! but i am tempted to make another town in the southern hemisphere juuust for fun.

North, but if the switch allowed two islands on one console i'd do both.

southern hemisphere. its gonna be great playing winter properly with some nice hot milo and marshmallows

I will have to do south. I actually was alright with new leaf being the opposite to me but I guess if I am giving a choice it would fell a little incorrect to choose the opposite one. :)

Both!

I plan to have a digital copy and a physical copy and I want to be able to experience both! It will be interesting to see the holidays in the opposite seasons (I'm located in North).

As an Australian, obviously I will pick Northern (not a typo). Who wants to come home on a miserable winter day and log into a miserable winter day? Or be stuck inside on a sweltering day to run around ingame in the same?

AC is my escape from life, I don't need it mimicking real life. Snow pretty much doesn't exist here anyway (except for a very very very small area in Australia, some parts of New Zealand and the Andes) so winter will still be wrong in-game if you pick southern hemisphere.

But really it's because I want my Toyday filled with snow and the all the trimmings of a white Christmas :p
