Okay, in the last few days, you may have seen me blabber about The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I'm truly sorry if I have driven you insane but I've just recently got back to this game and the nostalgia is hitting me like a giant wave. Can you really blame me?
Anyways, do you have any nostalgia experiences you'd like to share?
I'll share a 'few' from this game I've mentioned a million times haha. I got Twilight Princess on Christmas of 2007 (I think) and my first reaction to the title screen opening up was that Link was all grown up. "Whoa, Link is all grown up now?!?!" (This is my first Zelda game that Link is not a child). I was 7 years old around the time so yeah.
The beginning phase in Ordon Village is SO LONG in the game that it took me and my dad days just to get through. The fishing quest did not make it any better... I have the Wii version so there's more time taken up!
After progressing a little in the game, I encountered a deku baba for the first time in Faron Woods which scared the life out of me. The battle music was playing at the time and I didn't know where the enemy is so I got even more scared! My dad was also looking up the walkthrough while I was just running around in fear XD. Eventually, I got through.
The twilight segment just really did a number on me. Enemies were scarier and I somehow skipped cutscenes leading up to the point where Link turned to a wolf so I had no idea it was actually him. Did I mention twilight beasts?
Keep in mind that these events took place before I got to the first dungeon so it took forever! And I didn't play the game again until a few years later. I started over and finally managed to get to the first dungeon. The rest is history. Oh and let's not forget the epic theme of Hyrule field. It's really uplifting.
Fun fact: Twilight Princess is rated T for teen, the only Zelda game to have that rating. Obviously, I wasn't a teenager at the time so I can definitely see why I was so scared back then. XD
Actually, I still get scared at certain parts in the game. Maybe this game really is dark after all.
Again are there any nostalgia experiences you'd like to share?
