Mafia Official TBT Mafia General Thread - Game Types/Bans/Hosting

Not open for further replies.
Hosting queue and everything will be going up shortly. A few things to be aware of:

  • To start off the queue, I've moved in specific games which were requested under the unofficial list previously. Ambiguous games without any mentioned theme or type were not included in this. Any games mentioned after this post announcing a new system coming soon aren't included either. You'll need to sign up again under the new queue if there's room.
  • Room? I'm imposing limits to how many games can be in the queue at once for each game type so we don't have them bloated down until next Christmas. (!) When a game ends, I'll announce in here that a new slot(s) is open for anyone who wants to sign up.
  • There are some requirements to sign up to host now. They'll be in the updated thread, please be sure to read them.

(Ashtot: I took out your Fast Food game as I doubt you were actually serious about it, but if you would like to have your slot back, let me know within a couple days and you can have it.)

Okay so I know with your new hosting rules you probably did these but I figured I would type these up in case you didn't.

TBT Mafia IV
The fourth game continued the strong tradition of mafia near the end of 2013. This time, before the game started, select players were sent an invitation to guarantee a spot in the game.

This game was the first themed game, taking inspiration from the Russian Revolution of 1917. The game featured the addition of the Mason role, the first non-mafia "team".

TBT Mafia V
The fifth game started after a two week hiatus of mafia games. It was inspired by the Lord of the Rings. Gandalf took the role of host this game.

This game featured the Bus Driver role, which was given to none other than Dolby. Unfortunately for him, his classic fake claim turned out to be his undoing, as town quickly lynched him. It also featured the Serial Killer role, which was quickly killed off.

In addition, this game set the new record for the blue massacre of night two, resulting in the deaths of two vigilantes, a doctor, and a veteran, in addition to a townie and two mafia members.

TBT Mafia VI
The sixth game of mafia was hosted by the brothers BellBringerGreen and BlueLeaf. This game continued along with themes, this time taking form of an anime. This game was known for animosity between some of the players and the hosts, resulting in a massive spam war, administrator intervention, and a modkill.

TBT Mini Mafia II
The second game in the mini mafia series was started before any official hosting was set up. As a result, the previous hosts had chosen Tina to host this game.

There were no unusual roles, however, it was known to have detailed night and day posts.

TBT Mini Mafia III
The third game in the mini mafia series was the last game before the official hosting rules were set up. It continued with the theme of simple, basic roles for mini mafia games.

TBT Mini Mafia IV
This game was the first IRC Mafia game, Kingmaker, to be adapted for the forum. It featured a new third party, the Lover, along with two necessary roles for the game, Kingmaker and King.

The game was notable for the set of lynches near the end of the game that ended up costing it for the town.

TBT Mini Mafia V
This game was the first experimental set-up, differing from the traditional style previous games had been played in. It was the first game to feature no role titles, only Town and Mafia. In addition, there was no night.

Also known for Purpl winning the game for Town.

Purpl, Purpl. *shakes head*

Well seeing that happened I'm screwed in terms of WotC. *facedesk*

I got WoTCed in someone's game, I don't remember who's. *duckface*
WHY ISNT THERE A DUCKFACE EMOTICON

WotC basically just tells you that everyone wants you to step up your game. FN started getting wisdom'd because he was ALWAYS inactive, but he has really shown that he can play well in AC Mafia. Cory was wisdom'd because all he did was spam, post gifs, and rage. He too improved a lot after getting sat out for a few games. You kind of want to take it as a learning thing to better your playstyle. People also usually wisdom a townie that made themselves scummy enough to get lynched with spam or rage. :lemon:

I don't get why Purpl was WOTC'd when there was .. y'know, Jawile?

no offense but if you claim to be "shy" in mafia why did you join the next game? ;o

I think purpl was wisdom'd because of the beginning of AC mafia. I also think that Jawile will probably be next game if he joins :/ just how people do things I guess.

TBT Mafia VI: Faithful June:
This game was known for the masterful use of the Detective role by the new player PurplPanda. His intellectual mastery of the game led Town to victory, as all of the strong players were dead in the last days.

We usually try to get accurate descriptions.
