Oh my, finding a Nintendo Switch right now is like finding gold dust!

I’ve just checked Nintendo UK and you can pre-order the blue/red one for ?279.99 for dispatch on 13 March. Might be worth pre-ordering?

Have you considered going to the stores in person e.g Game or Argos and having a look or giving your local ones a call? That’s probably what I would try if I couldn’t find any online. I’ve just googled my local Argos and Game stores and it says the Nintendo switch is in stock there.

Sorry to hear you can’t get your hands on one yet! Wish you luck!

Oh, thanks. Yes I was out on Saturday and Sunday visiting Game stores and several of my local Argos stores but there was none. When checking Argos online it shows as available but limited however when you try to click and collect it says "this item is so popular it is currently unavailable"

Please private message me the local area and I will travel there if possible. I am based in London. In the meantime, I have placed orders in both Argos and Game just to be safe.

Yeah, there's a bit of a shortage at the moment. Argos still has the regular systems, though.

Thanks but their website says limited stock however they do not have them. I tried all day Saturday and half of Sunday.

Did you place your order with Amazon before or after the 13th?
I think it was after 13th.
Is this just affecting the UK and/or Europe in general? Not seeing any shortage issues here in the US, at least for any Switch that isn't the special AC Switch. All of the major US online shops have a variety of Switches in stock, and from a quick search of physical stores near me, they have a lot of Switches in stock.

I haven't seen this shortage much in the U.S. yet, is it only in the U.K.?
I have a feeling as weeks go by they're most likely going to shortage out here too.

It appears to be. My partner lives in Canada and he says they have them in the stores over there.

I also haven't seen much of a shortage, but there are less I think.

I live in the United States, Massachusetts and about half of my local stores seem to have them in stock when I check their pick up in store services. Stores specializing in Video games all seem to have them but they deparetment stores are lacking. I haven't been trying to buy a switch for a while so I don't know if this is the usual stocking situation. (The switch lite is available everywhere)
I wouldn't be surprised if it was related to the Coronavirus related though...

I pre-ordered 2 of them, but my friend doesn't want it anymore, so I canceled one, and keep one for myself

Yeah I heard rumors of Amazon UK canceling orders of the Limited edition Switch that were placed after the 13th. I'm sorry! I really really hope you find one. Do you have Gamestop in the UK? I heard that most locations are going to hold 5 for the first 5 people that come in and just ask for one.

oh no, sorry to hear! i got my neon one secondhand on a used site here in canada, and it was significantly cheaper - it's weird to see that they've all been marked up! sending good vibes, i hope that you find one soon!

So I decided to trade in my old Nintendo Switch for a newer one that is a regular blue and red one. I have the animal crossing edition on order still with Walmart, I'm debating selling in on eBay, or if I should just cancel my order. I know if I sell it on eBay I could easily make a good amount of extra cash, but I just don't know if I want to go through all that trouble. I don't know what to do :S decisions decisions.
