The Righteous Brothers were from my mom's time. I don't like a lot of her music, but they are a guilty pleasure of mine. I have a Best Of album and once my husband borrowed my iPod and was shocked when one of their songs came on. He completely wasn't expecting it considering the rest of my playlist is mostly heavy metal, alternative, and classic rock. When I was a wee lad,my parents had a record series called Oldies But Goodies which were released as volumes. My favorite was Volume 10 and the lead track was The Righteous Brothers' You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling. When I hear this song today,it reminds me of that time when I was a kid fascinated by a song that was kind of old even back then.
