Old But Liked Songs

This song was released in 1988, and introduced to me by one of my best friends. Normally this type of music isn't fully my style but I really love this song!

When I was a wee lad,my parents had a record series called Oldies But Goodies which were released as volumes.My favorite was Volume 10 and the lead track was The Righteous Brothers' You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling.When I hear this song today,it reminds me of that time when I was a kid fascinated by a song that was kind of old even back then.

The Righteous Brothers were from my mom's time. I don't like a lot of her music, but they are a guilty pleasure of mine. I have a Best Of album and once my husband borrowed my iPod and was shocked when one of their songs came on. He completely wasn't expecting it considering the rest of my playlist is mostly heavy metal, alternative, and classic rock.

Almost all of the songs I like would be considered old by today's standards. Other than some anime theme songs, I haven't really gotten into anything new since the early 2000's.

I am pretty old when it comes to my age on this message board so a lot of the songs that I like are pretty old so it's pretty hard to just pick one song since I'm obsessed with the music from my childhood. I will pick a song that I love though that came out before I was born since my mom always played older music for me growing up. (okay I think I will post two songs)

There are songs from 20 years ago that I still like and it seems like the songs only came out a few years ago. I was listening to The Civil Wars debut album the other day and I still like it a lot even though it came out 8 years ago and the duo has been broken up awhile.

The End Of The Line is such a comforting song. It lingers in your mind long after listening to it.

However, the song is bittersweet, since Roy Orbison died shortly after the recording, and couldn't appear in the video version. Only "his ghost" could sing with them. It was a beautiful tribute to him.
