Old Folks

As an old folk myself (born in '86), sorry to take advantage of this, but... is there anyone in sunday morning, please?
Because I need to buy turnips from Joan. It can be anytime no matter when you read this post, because I'm not going to move on in my game for some days (I'm waiting a neighbour to plot-house).

Thanks in advance, people! :)

Hi there, fellow "Old Folks!"

I made my first post to TBT yesterday, so I'm definitely a "newbie." I'm also O-L-D (at least in chronological terms!): 65. I just started playing ACNL in August, 2016, but I've already put in almost 600 hours trying to help my village ("Nirvana") evolve. Ah, it's really NICE to be retired and have that kind of time to spend on something that's so much fun!

Despite all the time I've put in on it, Nirvana is still very much a "work-in-progress." The latest feature I've added is an alternate player - "Velvette" - who yesterday opened her home to the whole village as a free public library and free dessert cafe. Stop in and pick out a good book, then head to her basement for a sweet treat!

I live waaaaay out in the country (in a forest, actually), so I don't have any local wireless visitors other than my wife. I got her a copy of ACNL about six weeks ago, staked her to a healthy heap of in-game bells to get her started, and have had lots of fun watching her create her village ("Pontoon"). She's now addicted to the game, too! We visit each other's villages on an almost daily basis - usually to exchange plants, shop in each other's stores, etc.

I would enjoy getting reactions from other folks who might want to visit Nirvana via their Dream Suite. The Dream Address (which I have updated after this week's Version 4.1 "Welcome Amiibo" expansion) is as follows: 5E00-000F-6EE9.

I'm not yet comfortable enough in the on-line gaming environment to make my NN ID and FC public or to accept visitors I don't already know very well from other environments. That might be because I'm just an old codger who is easily spooked by strangers . . . or it might be because I'm a wise old man who knows it's best not to open the door without first checking carefully to see who (or WHAT!) rang the bell. I hope you won't be offended that I'm not yet opening my gates to real-time visitors. Just think of me as someone who acts like Tortimer's grandfather!

Stay happy, healthy, kind and compassionate . . . and remember: "BE HERE NOW!"

Namaste,
Ananda
