I've never played a paper mario game but im SO excited about this

i've been wondering how to play the thousand-year door while i wait for this release, but it seems so inaccessible to find a game copy

I will forever get any Paper Mario game I can get. (Except Color Splash because I don't have a Wii U ; A; Very sad days)
I'm like, really pumped for it and I've not been disappointed by a Paper Mario game so far!

I've been playing this on and off all week and sadly it's really not an RPG like the original games. To me, the new game is more like a story-driven adventure game with some puzzle-based combat. It's really not fun if you go in expecting an RPG or older Mario game. The music is also very uninspired and forgettable. The only good thing about the game is the dialogue which is consistently good. I was only 30 minutes into the game when I started trying to avoid battle encounters by running away from enemies because it just feels like a chore.

Actually, I started playing this last night and was pretty happy with how the game plays. I haven't gone too far in yet, but it is much closer to the original games than the most recent, IMO. Yes, there are differences, but the general vibe is the same.

Glad I bought it.
