On the day the third villager is moving in...

The three villagers Nook has you set spaces for. On the day the third one is in her house with boxes (moving in), will there be an animal on a mystery island or do I need to wait until the next day? I don’t want to waste my Nook ticket, but I’m anxious to get back to animal chasing.

No there won't be one for a few days still. You'll have some mandatory tutorial things do do first. Idk if you want spoilers?

I'm pretty sure you have to wait a few more days. I think you need to first build the campsite and invite that villager in. You can build the campsite once town hall is built (town hall construction should begin tomorrow for you, so you can build the campsite on Thursday).

After the campsite villager has moved in you can find animals on islands again.
At least this is my understanding!
