Homebrew is perfectly legal. It's only if you made modifications to the actual Hardware that Nintendo will brick your Wii.

I figured as much, I have the Homebrew channel, and nothing happened to me, but I dont hack or anything.

Nintendo honestly would be pretty hypocritical if they banned Homebrew too, what with making their Memory cards SD cards and all...Thats just asking for it...

it's not as much the hacking as it is the roms...

In all honesty, if it weren't for AnimalMap it would had been fine, it was way too easy for anyone to do.

Tip to Nintendo: Make the save file more complex format wise, if a map editor isn't created to edit the save file there won't be any trouble.

See the trading community had such potential.

"buying this" "Selling that" etc.

Online Businesses and clans, it was really cool upon its initial release.

But everyone hacked full catalogs and millions of bells, it sort of ruined the trading/collecting aspect of the game.

For me anyway, I hope that doesnt happen, I'd like to buy and sell my items fair and square, at least for a little while, this time around.

Yeah, still 4, any more than that and we'd probably have some pretty bad lag issues.

Not sure how big the buddy list option will be, though, and you can always organize the sales ahead of time via letters you send directly to the towns or something like that.


Hell, you could even do mail orders without even going to the town itself now.

Yah, mail to other towns is my favorite new feature. It's just something small that makes the game much bigger.

yea, i mainly used an AR for WW. I payed off my regular wage on the GCN one... But it would be great if you could actually sell stuff like in a shop in the city...

Well that's somewhat what the auction house is, and if things pick up around here once City Folk comes out, you can always advertise a shop on here in like a trading post style board

but then storm and OCM would have to assign someone to be the auction house keeper or something, like if someone wanted to put their action up, they'd have to run it by that person, otherwise it would be crazy on the auction boards...

On the forums you could always just make a post saying "buying this" or "Selling this"
I think that would work out just fine and keep the online experience equally as fun.
