Opinions on the acnh background music

Poor soundtrack. It doesn't deserve this much hate.

I love the new horizons music
The theme song is the song I have playing in my house and I'd say 2am and 5am are contenders for the best animal crossing song of the series.

I even like 3am because it feels like a clown song and I deserve it every time I play at 3am.

The only song I've grown to dislike is 9pm.
It gets on my nerves a lot these days sadly.

The music is ok I don't love or hate it, but WW/CF were my favourite. That probably explains why the 6pm theme is my fave by far in NH as its a remix of the hourly music from WW/CF.

I for sure prefer the other games. New leafs music was so nice and calming.

I like NL music more, personally. Although I very much love the 5AM music in NH but that’s pretty much it, sadly.

i like the 5am music and another one, which i genuinely forgot what time it plays
but yeah, the NH music is bad and NL is better
obviously the most superior soundtrack comes from WW/CF

I have a theory that when Nintendo designed a majority of the features for AC (all of 'em), they had in mind the type of person who plays for 20-30 minutes at a time, a few times a day. Repetitive grating music doesn't get to you the same way when you only hear it occasionally... hearing a different hour's music when you usually play an hour later can be exciting.

Personally, I can't play games like that, and I don't think most AC fans after New Leaf do, either. I'm playing for several hours at a time, every day, and am also extremely sensitive to sound/repetition (just as a nice bonus). 5PM makes me feral, most of the time I leave the sound off.

The music is objectively well made and does not make the game unplayable, but I wish there were a way to filter it to like, softer/quieter tones.

EDIT: Also 5AM is one if the only ones I turn my sound on for! Since I saw a few others mention it. It's atmospheric.
