Overshadowed Villagers

Are there any villagers that you think are overlooked/underrated because another one get the attention? Here are some of mine:
-Hugh, who is overshadowed by Agnes (by species popularity) and Raymond (by the fact that the cat is cooler and like the pig, has heterochromia)
-Margie and Ellie (who are overshadowed by Tia, who is seen as being cuter and having an appealing theme)
-Ava, Plucky, Becky, and Knox (overshadowed by Ken, the most popular chicken)
-Olive (June, Maple, and Pekoe, who I all like, are shown to be, to many, the superior normal cubs)
-Almost all of the goats (mostly overshadowed by Sherb and Chevre)
-Puddles, Diva, and Gigi (mainly overlooked because of Lily)
Miranda, Mallary, Gloria, and Pompom (Because of Ketchup and Molly’s popularity)
-Colton (Because of Julian’s success)
-Soleil (Overshadowed by Apple and Flurry as the better female hamsters)
-Tiffany, Francine, Bonbon, Dotty, and possibly Mira (Due to Coco and partially Chrissy’s successful popularity)

What other do you think are somewhat forgotten because of the popular villagers?

I agree with a lot of your villagers! Some villagers I find to be personally underrated include:

• Mira- I find her to be very cute and she reminds me a lot of Sailor Venus from Sailor Moon haha I think Mira is pretty underrated and I will probably take her for my town as a dreamie!

• Vivian- Though she is slowly rising up the ranks now, I find her very fun for a wolf villager. She has pretty colors and I love her snobby attitude. She reminds me a bit of a boss at a corporation with her dominate like persona and serious expression. While Fang or Whitney may be everyone else's first choice, I find Vivian to be mine.

• Reneigh is a villager that I'm surprised isn't as popular as I thought she'd be! I love her colors and her patterns on her face as well! Her "big sister" personality type is also pretty fitting for her. I don't know much on her yet, but I am thinking of getting her as another dreamie too!

These are just a few to name but I find that there are a bunch more that are "underrated" villagers, considering we have about iirc, 400 or so total?

I didn’t feel like answering since I already commented on a lot of these types of threads but I feel bad so I’m just gonna answer. Hamlet, Tipper, Pancetti, Maddie, Bones, Tutu, Pinky, Pecan, and Agnes are some pretty underrated villagers. I’m sure there’s many others that I’m too lazy to add in. I have a big list of villagers I like and a lot of them are over looked.

- sly, he's just funny. the jock dialogue rlly fits him.
- monique, i just think she's so cool and i don't see her in towns a lot
- honestly a lot of the gorillas :\

margie gets overlooked a lot compared to the other villagers that were in the animal crossing movie - her and hopper get ignored by the majority of people whereas the others like rosie, whitney and apollo get a lot more attention aha

Yeah that movie was mostly about Margie and Ai too lol. Their lovely cherrypie friendship. People just like the cats, wolves, and eagles more than elephant and penguin villagers. I love all the elephant villagers personally.

Oh, and here are two more:
-Spike, Rhonda, and Tank (Merengue is the rhino who gets all the attention).
-Hopper, Aurora, Gwen, Puck, Boomer, Tex and Wade (Roald overshadows then all)

SPIKE for sure. He's a rough diamond waiting to be polished. Plus he's bling out like no other villagers. rolex. gold shirt. gold ears. gold HORN!

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that bud. Pierce is by far the best jock and the best eagle.

Anyway, as that goes to show, Pierce is definitely underrated due to Apollo's popularity in the eagle category lmao

I think Kitty is underrated, and overshadowed by Olivia and especially Ankha - the popular snooty cats. Kitty has totally got a church lady thing going on, especially with her NH house. I find that hilarious. And I think she's cute, with her white-tipped ears, paws and tail, and her sassy eyeshadow. This cat needs more love.

To me, Robin, Lucha, and Piper are overshadowed. Specifically by Midge, who I still like, though not as much as the previous three.

Moe is criminally underrated because he's a lazy cat, people only seem to talk about Bob or Punchy.

Cute villagers in general like Ava, Nana, Anabelle, Melba, Bertha, Rex, Gayle go unappreciated because they are from less popular species.

Hey, Pierce is second best eagle and probably Sterling’s brother so I can’t complain too much. Funny thing is I just got Apollo back from the void so he’s my least favorite villager on my main island now.

I’m surprised Marge isn’t really in the radar of most people though since she’s really cute.

Same! I thought she would be the most popular elephant due to having such a large role in the anime.

I wish Vivian can get more attention from AC players, she deserves to be popular.

I think a lot of the frog villagers are underrated, lily is the only one I tend to see often, but theres so many other good frog designs, like raddle, jeremiah, drift, tad and Henry jambette too
