Paths excitement!

In the new trailer where they show the villager making a path in front of one of the houses I noticed something that made me SUPER excited!!!

Not only can we make natural paths and round them off but they can go RIGHT TO THE BUILDINGS!!!
no more awkward space between the door and path!!! You can even have steps to the home that the path will be able to go around fully!!! No awkward spaces!!!!!

Fingers crossed we can add bushes right next to buildings/PWPs.

i would love it if we could lay down stone or wooden paths from the items you can gather around the island.

I’m kinda hoping that that’s not the ONLY way to create natural “dirt” paths though. They look really rigid to me. And while actually creating your own dirt path is a lot easier and less stressful than running constantly to remove grass (never was a fan of grass deterioration anyways), I still think it looks a bit too unnatural. But it does seem like a great way to start off custom tile placement. Like if there’s some kinda fill tool we can cover big areas of already sectioned off paths like that. The rounded feature is kinda nice too :3 Honestly the trailer has gotten me really excited for landscaping in general, especially with being able to place items outside!

made out of QR designs back in New Leaf, this one here is a welcomed option and the neutral look fits
to the theme I want to use for my island.

However, I hope that they will be more option in terms of making paths how they looks. Making a path
with a stone design for example would be cool.

I wouldn't be surprised if we could craft stone paths since crafting seems to be a big deal in this game. That would be awesome!

I loved this feature too! I never really got to use paths back in New Leaf or did much landscaping, so this has really got me excited! Even being able to round off the paths puts such a nice touch to the game and the fact they go all the way up to the houses really is great! Gosh, I just can't wait for this game to come out, but I just got to be a little bit more patient.

I've been thinking more about paths... since we can round off the edges, maybe we can place one piece of path down, round all the edges and have circles? I would love to make a path with circles where every other square is a circle with clovers to fill in the other spaces.

Wow. That's a really neat idea, I like it! It would be pretty cool to do and be able to do stuff like that.
