I especially hate the ones that point out the number of hours the person has supposedly played. Like that even means anything as far as how good your island will look.
I don't normally watch them. Seeing lots of screenshots about Redd's (black) market, fountain on a hexagonal-like floating island, and a little bit of lighthouse perspective kind of thing on FB groups are enough for me. No offense. They're really good and some even better than the original, but I'm not that kind of person to say/think "I'm going to make my own version of this". It will be worse (for my sanity) if I take time watching those videos xD

There has been such an escalation of superlatives in (social) media the past years, they are completely meaningless now and seeing them actually has the exact opposite effect on me. A thing hyped up with excessive word bubbles in a sea of other things hyped up with excessive word bubbles just doesn't feel worth my time and energy. It all just kinda blurs together.

That also popped in my mind first. Of course there's many people who want to see 5 star towns so they kind of know what their town is lacking for the 5 star review. The problem I have with it that 90% look.. well pretty much exactly the same. That's obviously a personal thing regarding me but whenever I see something over and over and over again I don't want/like it as much anymore because it's just not that special anymore. It's the reason I grew tired of Sakura/Japan themed towns or for exmaple Raymond haha. Also IMO there's AWESOME towns with 0-3 stars and "terrible" towns with 5 stars because it's solely based on opinions..
I saw that cyberpunk one haha yeah it wasn't what I was expecting it to be.
I also avoid town tours unless there's a specific theme going on like the Wild West town or the Egypt town. I think my favourite one was an underwater themed island, they used a lot of blue lights and custom paths and it looked really unique
I totally agree, those clickbait generic titles are uber boring, at least they should tell us what is the theme or the special thing of this island in the f*ing title 
And the islands I saw on Youtube that I thought were the most beautiful weren't the "perfect" and symmetrical ones, I like more natural island with uniqueness and charm.
