At one time, the avatar height extension add-on was available to all members, but at some point after ACNL was released, it was restricted to staff only (with a few members grandfathered into this). I don't see a reason to do this. So if you would like to see it return to the TBT shop for regular members, please sign.

First goal: get 50 signatures.

Tbh the mods don't really like petitions so I don't see this going anywhere. And shouldn't the height extension be a staff-only privalage? (These dudes work their butts off they need the few extra pixels) Like, I see why members would want them, but still.

Sorry If this sounded rude

Othee vBulletin sites allow regular members to have larger avatars. Even this site once did it. I wonder why they made the change.

Yes, crashing threads is considered rude behavior, but I forgive you this time. After all, this is not a trading thread of any sort. Just a thread to give us members a voice.

I highly doubt people work just for keeping their avatar heights but sure lol.

Also yes signing.

I agree. They've said before petitions don't influence their decisions, and don't want members thinking they do. Secondly, this forum is different with different rules. Comparing other vBulletins doesn't help arguments. I'm sure a lot of people want avatar height extension, but the staff have their reasons. I think we should respect their reasons?

Lol of course not. Just saying that we should respect whatever decision the mods make. But I'm not gonna lie, an avatar extension would be pretty neat. :rolleyes:

I'd pay real money to be able to use 200?200 avatars...

But I see it unlikely for this to happen. Granted, since nearly everyone has a signature, it wouldn't waste vertical space.

I still would like this to happen though. :p

Also, I don't feel like I "crashed this thread", I simply implied my opinion. If you can't handle that, I'll stop posting here.

200x200 is pretty excessive. I think vBulletin keeps it at a maximum of 150x150. It's not just limited to this site.

Well, I assume that actual Group Restock sometime ago was totally random then? (not the latest one, the one before that)

That one was a rare exception. The reason why they allowed it was probably because groups have been forever out of stock, and it's one of these special things. As for the other petitions they turned down, it's because they are collectibles, which aren't really that important. Collectible ideas, collectible restocks, and and limited time stuff like the woods banner are all unnecessary.

I think it would be neat if it was there, but you had to have a certain amount of posts and been here a certain length of time to get it. On Facepunch, you become a "Gold Member" and get an avatar height extension if you've been there for two years and have at least 2,000 posts.

It would be a good way to thank members for their dedication to the community, I think.

//sigh
We all know what the mods think of petitions

Honestly, I don't like this idea. The larger avatars (imo) are better off for staff only ;;

Welp, I would go for it, but I believe the mods should always have bigger avatars than us....so if we did get 'upgraded', I think the mods should be too - but I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be much space left rip....

Hm. Not sure if this petition will get through but it would be nice to have a larger avatar.. I won't have to squint anymore lol sign me up :lemon:

Also, yes, mods deserve certain privileges but they already have the coloured usernames XD lmao

Yeah, could be a neat idea to give to those long-time members who are actually active and posts here. Not sure what a post req could be though cause there are probably people who have been here for years and don't have more than eg. 2k posts or things.
