Nintendo released about a half a year ago that there would be Pikmin 4, and that they were almost done with it, but since then, we haven't heard ANYTHING about it! Like, c'mon Nintendo! A lot of people want it! Oh, well... They're probably just holding it off for the Nintendo NX. On a happier note, I 100%ed Pikmin 1 about one week ago, so that's pretty cool. And it was my first play through of it. I also completed the Submerged Castle *shudders* and started the Dream Den in Pikmin 2. Yes, I held off on the Submerged Castle as my second to last cave. I'm a wimp, I know. It really isn't as scary as I thought it was. I guess the hype got me so worked up, but I escaped with 23 blue Pikmin out of 68. (I lost two to some Water Dumples on the way there.) You can really tell I'm a pro player at that game... As for Pikmin 3, I have all of the fruits, but I have yet to face the Formidable Oak. I don't know what it is with me and holding off on the last bosses in Pikmin games because I tend to collect everything there is to collect and end up not finishing the games due to final boss hype.

TL;DR I want Pikmin 4 and I'm a wimp because I never finish the Pikmin games due to final boss hype.

You should've combined the GC and Wii versions, they're exactly the same.
Anyways...
1: Short but difficult and fun.
2: WAY longer than the other games and also the most difficult.
3: "I payed $60 and I'm already done with it? It hasn't even been 10 hours yet!" And the difficulty was nonexistent if you played the first 2 games.

2 wins.

I know that they're the same, but some people like certain controls more.

I played the first one on the Wii. I actually have a very hard time finding physical copies of those first two games, so I've yet to play the second game.

My only problem with Pikmin is the timer. It might just be me, but I find timers incredibly stressful and it makes it hard for me to enjoy the game and appreciate the graphics (which is something I love to do if I get the chance in-game). I think I only got as far as the third planet. I must try again.

I'm actually glad you separated them by console because the Wii controls make the game so much more enjoyable for me than the GameCube controls. The Wii controls just make everything less stressful and are easier to get the hang of. I never played the 2nd Pikmin game, but I really liked the first game on the Wii.

I played the demo for Pikmin 3 and I wanted to buy it, but it was at a ridiculous price, but now that it's a Nintendo Select game, I can finally get it for super cheap :)

I've never played a pikmin game but I absolutely agree. I cannot stand time limits and any sort of time limit, even a really generous one, makes me stress the ****k out.
