It's odd seeing actual adults talking about video games. It could be a hint, it could be him just using a pineapple for an example. I would love pineappkes but wouldn't lay bets either way.
I hope they remember that pineapples grow on shrubs....and don't put them on trees.

Anyway, I wouldn't get my hopes up about pineapples based on this; I expect this was just a hypothetical remark made by this guy because New Horizons is based on an island and it's a fun idea for them to implement. It would be cool if they are included, but we'll have to see. If they are included, I agree with Ably.Saucey and hope that they represent how they're actually grown instead of just throwing them on a tree like the rest of the fruits.

Yes! This would make the island look so much more natural! I'm probably getting my hopes up but it would be nice to be able to travel to another island, get a pineapple and grown them on our own!

Sounds for me more like as if he just used pineapple as an example. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind if they gonna add some new fruits and pineapple being one of them would be pretty neat.
