*is screaming in pain because I don't know where the Crystal Hearts are in Celeste*
(I beat it on PC using a controller, and it was fun learning Madeline's moveset!)
Continuing from this post- I usually have low expectations when it comes to games made from existing IPs, so when I checked the page for Mission Impawsible yesterday, I was surprised…
It looks like a pretty decent platformer, with replay value? Power-ups? Puzzles?? And it’s kinda looks faithful to the books too. :0 Now I’ll have to see if it’s as good as I think it is. There’s a demo, thankfully, but I’ll have to wait until I get my Switch back so I can give it a shot.
Having a hard time at the wrecking ball part in RE4 remake. It's not even the most annoying part of the game so far, I'm just doing kind of poorly at it.
Been thinking about picking up Final Fantasy XI, of all things. I know there's a newer and more popular Final Fantasy MMO by this point, but I very briefly played FFXI when it was new and still receiving expansions thanks to the free trial you get when signing up, so it has that nostalgic draw. I only really stopped playing because I couldn't afford the recurring fee as a teenager, although I can now, if I decide I want to get back into it.
Sometimes I don’t think my local Best Buy checks their shelf display price tags for any errors. Last week I went in and saw Super Mario Party Jamboree for only $9.99 which seemed very odd considering just how recent the game is and I went up to a cashier to check the price and it was actually $60. That price tag was definitely wrong and it didn’t have a number cut off by a printing error either. Someone actually printed out $9.99 for the game.
For some reason I'm thinking about one of the streamers I followed on Twitch and how he named one of his Stardew Valley kids Trashboat. I'm also anxious to pick it up again now that 1.6 is on switch aaaa. つ﹏⊂
My favorite way to catch fish in BotW: Chucking a bomb or shooting a shock arrow into the water. Definitely a lot more efficient than trying to grab them while in the water, which I did when I first played the game. :v

It's honestly jarring to see Genshin's new player rewards in comparison of other gacha or free to play games after I first played WuWa. Genshin's new player rewards still the same rewards after 4 years while newer games have free 20 pull or more rewards for new players than Genshin in 4 to 5 years.
It's sad when even older games like F/GO gave out more rewards to new players than an open world f2p game from 2020, that game had little to no pity system and it's from 2015.
I really hope Genshin considers my feedback for a favorite character of mine. I’m still really unhappy with some recent content. Also annoyed that I still didn’t get the gift envelope that a friend sent me :/; a lot of people are having this same issue. Usually when there is an issue, a game makes an announcement, apologizes for it and fixes it asap.

I agree with this 100%. Fate GO used to not be so generous when I first started playing, first year it was out in NA, but when I came back from a hiatus, wow they made some really good changes including the rewards.
Just recently, Genshin gave us a free four star of our choice from Liyue; one of them is one we get for free as a beginner . Other games that I play or have played, give us a free five star of our choice (from a selected pool) or whatever the equivalent is for the game.
My random video game thought from recently is that I'm SO glad Wuthering Waves finally gave us the option to synthesize from anywhere on the map. It was SO annoying having to go all the way to that one place in Jinzhou every time you wanted to synthesize something.
That, and flight is really cool in Wuthering Waves as well.
I'll be honest, am I really much of a gamer anymore?
I want to pick up some new story based games, but I always axe those decisions in favor of the usual endless games like Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and Pokemon. Sure Pokemon is the outlier, but at least that game never ends in terms of online battling.
Occasionally, I DO play story based games very seldomly, but like that's ever gonna happen.
I am interested in playing Astro Bot, but it's PS5 exclusive and as if I'd get a PS5 just for a game I'd only play for about a week and never pick up again.
Maybe I have my reasons I play games that never end, so I'd always wake up to something exciting. But still, I'd like to expand my gaming horizons too you know.
Inazuma chapter is easily the worst Archon quest chapter in Genshin Impact in my opinion.
Why is there a need for characters like Kokomi or Ayaka when Yae Miko could just carry the MC throughout the entire chapter. And Kokomi would've been better if she is a schemer or a twist antagonist/villain if the writers want to portray her as a millitary strategist.
Even Beidou did more to the story than Kokomi and Ayaka and that is sad.
Also Raiden Shogun should've been treated/written as a tyrant or a villain all throughout the chapter.
Gosh, why is the Liyue Archon questline in Genshin Impact so BORING. I barely remember anything about it other than we had to help Zhongli fake his death or something. I'm actually tempted to play through it again on my alt, both to unlock Inazuma for materials and to try and understand it better.

I think you make good points. I feel like I hardly saw Kokomi. When I was done with the quest, I was confused. I expected more of the resistance part of the story. I thought without the traveller, Yae Miko, being as shrewd as she was, could’ve probably resolved the situation.
I liked a lot of the story though; what I hated was more the puzzles and the little islands in the sky that you used those electro things to navigate.
Now that I’ve been playing for awhile and see the patterns in the story writing - like the whole thing with Traveller saving the day and being special. I kinda don’t buy how Inazuma couldn’t have been saved without Traveller. Same goes with each other archon quest. I did think the earlier quests, the concept seemed fine and I didn’t question it until I realized how every archon quest, the point of how Traveller is special is always brought up.
My own thoughts - forgive me for how much I have to say and that it is all over the place .
Sumeru was interesting but I’m conflicted on whether I liked it because the way they portray the cultures it is based on. They portray desert people as barbaric. The aesthetics in my opinion was extremely ugly too. Persian architecture and art is extremely gorgeous and what we got is ugly green huts and shacks. Some of the furniture like the domed arch and the walls were pretty but the green buildings I do not like. I did love the architecture in the desert with the anubis statues though. The plot was good overall I think. Sumeru was where I started thinking Paimon was insufferable and rude (I am replaying the story now and while they the traveller and Paimon were always pretty rude, I feel like it got really bad here and the worst in Fontaine).
I’m still salty about Natlan. Natlan is so underwhelming. I thought the story was decent but the special treatment of the traveler at this point has gotten so old; she is pretty much a Mary Sue. Also some other things they did with the story I can’t help questioning.
What I said on a discord server how I feel about it was this: What bugged me the most was the whole thing about ending the Abyss threat to Natlan. I didn’t think it was possible considering that the Abyss is everywhere and still a threat to every corner of Teyvat. The ending it didn’t really give me any satisfaction as the conclusion of Fontaine’s archon quest did. It didn’t have the impact and the celebration seemed to lack any meaning (for me personally, killing off the captain killed my mood). Ronova still existed in that area, the Abyss Order still exists. I feel like it should’ve been more harder to solve the problem with the Abyss that they had dealing with all those hundreds of years. There was a struggle, yes, but it just feels like it should have been more visible. As special as the traveler is, she/he alone should not have had as big of an impact on something this scale that Natlan was struggling with. I feel like this quest and the conclusion was missing that impact that the other quests had too.
I thought The Captain was the best thing about the quest; I’m still extremely disappointed and hoping they listen to my feedback since he could have expanded the story in so many ways - sub plots with the harbringers, end game with Celestia and Khaenriyah. Not to mention he is so much cooler and competent than Mavuika; I love his design so much
Other content:
Chenyu Vale was somewhat interesting the first time, but now I’m replaying it, and I’m honestly bored. If it was voiced, maybe it’d be a bit better. I did see a dialogue that I never saw in my first playthrough though
The lantern rite’s event story continued the Mary Sue treatment of Traveller. I liked last lantern rite’s story better in some ways; I did enjoy it but since I’m still annoyed about Natlan, I can’t say I was impressed with Traveller saving the day again. I know the story is about the traveller’s journey but she has to fail sometimes and have some major flaws.
I like Hu Tao though I thought it would have been okay if she died. It would be okay if traveller can’t always save the day. I feel like it’d be more of a journey if traveller had failures small and big here and then.
My random video game thought for the day is that as much as I love Zenless Zone Zero, I REALLY wish they would add more multiplayer options to the game. The lack of multiplayer in the game is absolutely atrocious. I wouldn't expect them to allow us to be able to co-op, but surely there's something they could do, no?
