I've been enjoying the new Disney Dreamlight Valley update. As with most updates at the beginning, I did feel a bit overwhelmed yesterday. It's always hard to figure out what to start with. I ended up unlocking Aladdin and Jasmine's realm, doing the quests there, and inviting Aladdin and Jasmine to the valley. Once I was done with that, I switched my focus to the new star path. I really like some of the items from the new star path, but overall it isn't my favorite. For the bonus items, I feel like some of the recolors are too close to the regular versions. I'd prefer recolors with more distinct differences in coloring. The new cooking menu updates are amazing, and I also love being able to see that an item is a character's favorite for the day. I haven't messed around with changing room sizes yet, but I might change my first room into a little entryway

I never knew Pokemon had so many mobile games. I only touched the cafe one and Pokemon Go once. Pokemon Home to rescue my Pokemon (the ones I wanted) from my 3DS.

I played that Magikarp one around when it came out. I think.

999 felt relatively short, but going from 10 hours to 30 is also very extreme. You are a visual novel with escape rooms.

The fishing tasks for the current star path in Dreamlight Valley have been so much easier than usual so far! In previous star paths you'd have to catch a certain amount of a specific type of fish in a specific biome, and sometimes it could take forever. This time the fishing tasks have just been to catch ten of any fish in a specific biome. I also noticed the boutique challenges have only taken two days rather than three like last time, so that's an improvement as well.

Also, I said before that I wanted to make my main room into a little entryway, but...
Yeah, might want to wait to start on that 😅

On another note, the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct is only one month away now, so that's exciting! I'm looking forward to it~

It wasn’t until I played Unicorn Overlord that I realized that I’m the type that needs story progression road blockers. The urge to fill up the map and get into random skirmishes gives me the same feeling like when I’m playing Civilization. Just one more turn.

I’m at a point in Echoes of Wisdom where I’m putting off fighting the final boss in favor of helping a cranky old inventor build automatons. This could be a separate game itself.

This week they added some Winnie-the-Pooh items to the premium shop in Disney Dreamlight Valley. I loved Winnie-the-Pooh when I was a child, so all of these items are must haves for me. I only had enough moonstones to purchase two of the three bundles though, so I pinned the remaining one along with the bubble machine that was also added this week. I had to unpin the Sven bundle and cape I pinned last week, but I think I'd rather get these items first. I would love to have Winnie-the-Pooh characters in the valley someday~

I've been looking on Ebay for Wii games since I plan to buy a Wii U someday, but they're stupidly expensive. The best deal I've seen is Twilight Princess for a little over $20, but the CD looks scratched. :( I might have to look elsewhere.

I also searched for Tomodachi Life cartridges for sale out of curiosity, and they're priced upwards of $280. (?!) Meanwhile, I bought the game on the eShop for $30 back in 2019. What a joke.

I’ve been replaying Inazuma in Genshin. I don’t think I’m enjoying it at all tbh. I enjoyed playing through it the first time, though I hated the electro infused areas and a couple other areas (the puzzles and mechanics). I still think the story is solid here other than the whole dependency on traveler like the other quests. Right I’m not enjoying even the story though; I think maybe the beginning is not as good as it later gets. I think this area still beats constant motion sickness in the chasm though. If it wasn’t for that and the issues navigating there, I’d maybe like the chasm more since some of the quests were interesting (though I really hate that NPC who would not listen to everyone telling her to go back to camp), at least the interlude ones were and the fatui related ones.

I'm playing through the oldschool Sonic games via Sonic Origins Plus and a thought I had was that Marble Zone is pretty extreme for a second level, especially coming in right after a (generally) easy going first level like Green Hill Zone. Lava everywhere, spike chandeliers, and lots of opportunities to be crushed... it's pretty rough. I think that maybe Marble Zone and Spring Yard Zone should have their positions swapped.

Yeah, I agree. I always hated Marble Zone (I remember when I first played the game in 6th grade I could never get past a section at the end of Act 3 and so I never got to experience the rest of the game, which is totally a skill issue but even now I don’t find the stage fun to play because of how slow it is), but to be fair the only zones from that game I actually like are Green Hill Zone and Starlight Zone. Although apparently, earlier in development it was Labyrinth Zone that was meant to be the second zone, which would have been way worse.

I've almost finished the current Star Path in Disney Dreamlight Valley. I just have two tasks left to complete, and I've gotten all of the rewards except for the house. Also, I spoke too soon in one of my previous posts here, because there were a few boutique challenges that took three days toward the end of the Star Path. I think my least favorite tasks this time have been the ones that require three days of giving multiple characters all three of their favorite gifts each day. The memory orb collecting tasks would have been annoying, but I wisely learned from last time and left any memory orbs I found on the ground so that I could just walk around and collect them during this Star Path. But since I'm almost done with this Star Path, once I do my DreamSnap entry for this week, I'll probably start focusing on Jasmine and Aladdin quests.

I remember when this set was released or when I first saw it when browsing the fortune cookies in pocket camp that I was a bit disappointed and not interested in it since I think that I was looking for medieval buildings to go with the little houses that I got from an event. Now, I’m kicking myself for passing it up. I just got three complete tickets today, got two fences and one of the buildings that I wanted. I really love this set now :D.

I don't get why some people don't like Ogerpon, she's my girl and she deserves better. ;^;

I mean, (DLC spoilers to play it safe ig?) she did pick the player over Kieran even though he can sympathize with her, but imo I don't think it's a good reason to hate on her. Even though I feel bad for Kieran, I also understand Ogerpon's decision, in a way.

I still can’t figure out how to beat kingprotea in fate go’s latest chapter. I think Fate Go makes story bosses way too hard. I have a lot of good units but I still struggling beating so much.

When it comes to the weekly DreamSnap challenges in Disney Dreamlight Valley, some players are really good at putting together amazing scenes and outfits. Personally, I'm not one of those players, but I still have fun putting together my DreamSnap entry each week, and at the very least I get some moonstones from it. This week is a decor challenge with the theme of Lights...Camera...Action!, and this was my attempt at creating a scene for that theme. I tried to make a red carpet/movie premiere scene:

Also, I completed the Star Path! It wasn't too bad overall. I mentioned it here before, but the worst tasks in previous Star Paths for me were the ones that required you to catch a certain type of fish in a certain biome. But specifically the ones that wanted you to catch fish that come from blue ripples were miserable. For fish from gold ripples, you can at least use the elixir to turn other ripples gold, but for blue you just have to hope there will be a blue ripple and hope that it gives you the fish you need. And you had to do that over and over... Getting rid of those tasks was definitely a good decision in my book.

And finally, there's a new event in Dreamlight Valley called Lucky You! which involves collecting three- and four-leaf clovers. I like the "End of the Rainbow" Cauldron that you can craft with the four-leaf clovers, so I plan to craft at least one of those. I always love rainbow items. And in the process of collecting four-leaf clovers for that I should get the Lucky Shirt as well. The shirt isn't as interesting to me, but it's still nice. It's a green button-up shirt with clovers on it.
