I noticed the pumpkins in the banner and I'm wondering if that means anything for the site, like a small Thanksgiving event?
 
Probably not. The staff had that huge Halloween event not that long ago. I wasn't around for it because of things with life, but I can't imagine they want to take on a Thanksgiving event after summer camp, Halloween, and then Xmas.
 
My husband just brought home a nice used tank and stand and canister and various decor last night. 😯
Welp, I guess I'm gonna obsess more with reading about bacteria and gardening and fish.
I'm excited. But gonna move like molasses on filling it.

I'm not really feeling it for Thanksgiving. I barely participated in the Halloween event. I'll probably be in a better mindset for Christmas.

You can't add fish in it right away. You need to wait like 2 weeks or something for the water to be cycled through a bunch of times. I forget the actual time and specifics. Just read up on it otherwise you're going to kill everything you put in if you jump the gun. I set up a fresh water tank when I was younger and wanted to do it by the book but my family was impatient idiots and everything died.

Yeah I feel that. It was so close after the Summer camp that I just didn't want to take on another big event on. You got to put in a lot of time. They're almost like classes. And I wasn't in the right mindset at the time lol.

Yeah you have to build your bacteria colony first and feed it, and then optionally work on plants as long as you feed your plants.
I still have to clean my equipment though and stress test, drain, and then get it into the house, and then buy substrate and missing stuff so it will be a while before I start cycling.

It's been many years and I wanted to do it right, but my parents just took over and then blamed me when it failed lol. Good luck with your tank!

Yeah, the staff may do something small like a raffle, but I seriously doubt they'd do another full-scale event for Thanksgiving. Especially because this one is only a U.S. holiday, lmao (yes, I know Canada celebrates earlier, but they're fundamentally different historically).

That being said, I know a year or couple years ago they had kind of a full-scale one, but I don't remember much about it cause I think I left the site for a bit, lol.

Given how grandiose the Halloween event was, I seriously doubt they'll do a full-scale one, at least until Christmas time, since that's generally a more popular holiday anyway.
 
It feels weird being out at my new job, and then I am deadnamed by people at my old job. It’s hard to be comfortable when someone (who also happens to be a manager) made transphobic comments and quit temporarily after she got asked to train a transgender person. Idk but that seems like a you problem if you leave after being upset you had to train someone who happens to be trans. Not to mention I wasn’t sure what I was until recently so coming out at a job I’ve had for two years would’ve been a sudden change and people would’ve questioned it. People at my new job just knew and were waiting for me, while people at my old job were “oh you have a pretty name, why don’t you like it?”

I do, and it had me stumped sometimes to be honest. 😅
 
It felt amazing to take a hot shower today. That's exactly what I needed. I know that I'm not supposed to take them because they make my nose bleed, but at that point, I really couldn't care less. I stayed inside until the heat was too much and my heart started beating faster, which is when I left because I felt that happening to me would make me feel even worse. Hopefully I'm not like this tomorrow.
 
I really don't want to work tomorrow, but it's not really that long of a shift I'm just used to working early mornings for Thanksgiving but it is what it is. Luckily my mom and I already have our food for tomorrow we just have to put it in the oven since we got things already premade for the most part. I think I am must burned out at my workplace and can't wait to move on from this company.

I think I'm having McDonalds for dinner since I've been craving it and I know I will have leftovers for a few days, and I'll have a pumpkin pie to myself. I'm pretty stoked!
 
My brother's snoring is unbearable. Kind of want to rip out my eardrums. I know he's sick, but jeez, it's loud.

I read Wikipedia on the plot for Disney’s latest animated feature, Wish (yes, I spoiled it for myself). Although the story looked good, I was disappointed to see that it didn’t do well among critics. But I hope it does well commercially. Last year, Disney’s animated feature failed in the box office.

It’s safe to say, the Revival Era is over. Moana is the last Revival Era film. Ralph Breaks the Internet is the first Post-Revival Era film.
 
wanting to change my major from sonography to cosmetology, idk cosmo just feels better for me??? i feel like i’d be a lot happier doing that. my parents have alrdy expressed enough support in me doing so but i can’t help but feel like im gonna end up disappointing someone in my family 🥲

oh, yes, i actually went on like a 2-3 month bender doing that on toyhouse lol. i still fix it up every once in a while when i think of something to add/change.



idk whether i should write, play vidya or draw today. im in the middle of a durge run on BG3 so i could do that cause ive never seen a durge ending, but if i get sucked into it i KNOW ill do nothing else today. one of my OC profiles on toyhouse still needs to be written up.
