She was a child abuser. Jar Jar didn’t hurt anyone and actually had some funny moments.
Jar Jar is a sith who orchestrated the downfall.

I still think people don't really care for Jar Jar tbh. If they are it's probably because they didn't watch the prequel and let's be honest the prequels were pretty bad.

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Like sure maybe it does, but that's not really a line they should had used for the moment they were trying to capture. The Clone Wars series is the only good thing to come out of it.

I mostly know about Jar Jar via YouTube so…yeah. I didn’t watch the prequels. But I don’t think he is comparable to Dolores Umbridge. I read the book and saw the movie…when I saw the movie it made me hate Imelda Staunton for a while lol. She did a great job.

I wrote my dad's obituary yesterday. Since it can only be so long, I tried my best to get across the most important facts, traits, and joys about my dad.

But it got me thinking now complex each person is. How many dads I've seen over the years in the papers and online who have passed- how much many of them meant to people- and how I will never know all the ins and outs of that specific person and the things about them their family loved or hated most.

I have more compassion now. We all get stuck in this strange rut of self-centeredness (not the bad kind, just regular human experience), where we feel like the center of the universe. How the people we love at the center of our universe. How other people don't "understand" or "love as much" or "experience what we have".

This main character syndrome is very hurtful to society. I know that the internet magnifies this problem a bit, but I have seen it in person more than I did when I was younger!

Yeah, it is especially difficult when a lot of people are selfish instead of selfless. I used to be that way too when I was younger, but I changed myself over time to be as selfless as I can, and am now developing a healthy balance of taking care of my own needs while still helping others when I can.

I was going to place this in the "what are you happy about today" thread, but my family praised me today for all the changes I'm making to improve myself even more. I think that's what life is really about anyway, or what it should be about. That is, no matter how many experiences you have or how many things you get, and no matter your status or anything else, never place yourself above others. No matter how strong, powerful, rich, or whatever else I may become in the future, I will still stay humble and seek to learn from others, help others out, and place myself on equal footing with them.

TL;DR It's important to take care of myself, but I love helping others and getting to know people even more. 💚

I just checked all of the 2023 Oscar nominations. Guess what! Disney’s Wish did not receive an Oscar nomination at all. That tells me the movie really isn’t that good.

I’m sure WDAS will escape the Third Dark Age some time in the future. Their eras are based on successes and failures.

While working the second of my two midnight to 8am shifts and thinking about this in a way that only a sleep-deprived brain can, I've come to the conclusion that the phrase "good morning" is an oxymoron.

SHE YAWNED WHILE I WAS TRYING TO TAKE A CUTE PHOTO OF HER 😭😭

This. Bus. Is. Unbearably. Disgusting. It’s. Not. Hard. To. Pick. Up. After. Yourself. Please. Learn. Basic. Decency. Okay. I’m. Going. To. Throw. Up. Now.

I miss the days when I use to sneak and watch South Park. I would get caught (sometimes), but that only made me even sneaker. hehehe
I knew a kid who tricked his grandma into buying him a South Park DVD. Since it’s a cartoon, the grandma just assumed it was a kids’ show. Unfortunately, he got exposed was when he forgot to use headphones so his mom heard all this cursing on the car DVD player (on a road trip). 😂 I guess it was fun while he lasted.

Kind of sad that the site keeps losing veteran members over time. The newer members are nice, but it's just not the same... I mean I understand that there hasn't been any new ACNH news in awhile, but it's just sad to see. Next AC game when???
I'm almost finding myself in this situation, just been dealing with a lot of irl stuff and I'm not gonna lie, some things that are going on around here are causing me more stress than I need (like, I've started to associate collectibles with being perpetually stressed). thinking I may take another hiatus for a while.

I’m glad that Barbie is getting so many nominations at the Oscars, although Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie definitely deserve more recognition for such impactful work. I think Barbie was a really powerful movie and deserves all the awards it can get!

BIG agree. also love that ryan gosling pointed out the irony that he got a nomination and greta/margot didn't. we love a self aware king.

Kirby, cry me a fountain of dreams and spare me the junk food lol ⭐💗 but really, your retro design is better. Nintendo made you angry here because people like big mad grrrr

It’s great to see him supporting them so much! It’s also pretty ironic to see this happening considering that was half the message of the movie.

It’s funny how a lot of people at school think I’m the innocent kid, and when I tell someone to shut the **** up or I reach my breaking point, people just get really surprised.

people really didn't get it. but it's unequivocally one of the best and most important movies of this year!

It happens. I sometimes take a break from these forums every now and then. Especially when things have gotten hectic, stressful, and hard in life. Had a really bad one after the space camp event and I just went radio silent for a few good months.

And I get that to. I really love the events and how fun they can be, but the way some people acted over little digital trinkets kinda soured the image of this forum for me.
