Hazel (aka my sweet baby, Sally) can't bother to check behind her own house. lol

The first horrible episode of the show was The Splinter. Look, I can kind of handle gross out, but this is SpongeBob. The cute sea cartoon kids tend to watch. I think with episodes like this and One Coarse Meal, they forgot about that part. At first, the splinter looks normal, but it just gets more and more swollen, and more and more disgusting, and very realistic, until it reaches its zenith. And when it seems like it’s over and Mr. Krabs removes it, pus sprays all over him until SpongeBob’s thumb is back to normal. And it’s not even the worst episode of the season. That would probably be Boating Buddies.
“The Splinter” is one episode I would love to forget about entirely. After seeing it for the first time, I never wanted to look at it again. When cartoon episodes make injuries look grotesque and realistic, it turns me off from a second viewing. While “House Fancy” is an alright episode to me (and I usually like Squilliam’s appearances anyway), I look away from that toenail scene as it also grosses me out to no end. There’s even redness that resembles blood. Eugh.

Oh, and despite being a 12th season episode, “Kwarantined Krab” is an episode I prefer not to watch for obvious reasons.

I’m okay with group projects when I get to pick who it’s with. I can still do it if the teacher picks. But the second I get placed in a group where I’m the only person that does work, I’m out. Or, I would be, but I kind of don’t have a choice. At that point, I’m really the only person that deserves to get a grade on it.

I actually preferred when the teacher picked. As someone who didn't have any friends in their classes while everyone else was part of some clique, I'd be the one awkwardly sitting there. Ideally I'd work alone, but if groups were required I would always rather the teacher assign the groups. I don't think I had an instance where I had to work with someone who outwardly disliked me, but I always did feel awkward getting placed into a group by a teacher after everyone had already chosen their assigned groups. I always felt like I was included because I had to be and not because they wanted me there.

I even took a write-up for cutting class over attending because I knew we were going to have to choose groups and I didn't want to be put in that embarrassing situation. If someone feels the need to cut class because their classmates fail to make them feel included, the teacher's aren't trying hard enough. Schools are terrible at handling bullying and the parents fail to discipline their children. Who even knows if the parents are aware of their child's behavior? The teacher's couldn't care less to tell them as they try to play hero and do it themselves. It's a screwed up system.

If you remember our Wailord and savior, Whale Shark, then you will understand 👄💖 *NOM NOM*

Now that I think about it, a Pikmin boss battle taking place inside of, well, the insides of a creature, would have been such a cool and interesting idea. Something akin to the midpoint boss battle with Prince Froggy from Yoshi's Island.

I think the new hug reaction will be useful for the "What's bothering you?" thread to show you care about other members and their struggles instead of using the "Like" reaction on their posts which feels misleading but I really wish people would stop using the hug reaction on my posts but I don't think that's gonna stop anytime soon so whatever.

EDIT: Bruh oak

LAST THING ABOUT SPONGEBOB FOR A WHILE I SWEAR.

I usually found myself watching SpongeBob at night because on Nick’s main channel at night, they aired… shows rated TV-PG 😱😱😱. So when it was night, I don’t know why then specifically, I would have to go to a different Nick channel where they did air them at night. If it wasn’t that, it was probably because I used the record feature and watched them at night with my brother when there was nothing else. Okay, what’s the point of all of this? Well, for some reason, I rarely ever ended up actually seeing the credits for episodes. The most exposure I had to the song that plays during the credits was whenever an episode used it as a background track. Because I didn’t hear it that much, it kind of scared me when I did hear it, because that would usually be when I was going to sleep. No idea why. I think I explained this in the worst way possible.

Also, I reconsidered it, and while Sponge-Cano! isn’t one of my favorites, I still like it.

Some alternative interpretations of the Star Wars Prequels:

As we know, it was Palpatine that turned the Galactic Republic into the Galactic Empire and got rid of the Jedi. And Anakin Skywalker, who was the “chosen one” made the wrong decision and enabled the empire’s rise and the Jedi purge. However, these people are also guilty of leading them to this point:
  • Qui-Gon Jinn - he took the chosen one prophecy too seriously and wanted to train Anakin. But the Jedi Council forbids that because he was consumed by fear. By even letting him get trained, this created a powerful force that could, if he wanted to, betray the Jedi.
  • Padme - she appointed Jar Jar Binks as the senator representing Naboo. Because of how idiotic he is, he voted for the clone army, which is where the Republic began to fall.
  • Jar Jar Binks - he casted that vote for a clone army, beginning the clone wars and allowing darkness to rise.
  • Watto - he sold Anakin’s mother to a family in the countryside, which endangered her life.
  • The Tusken Raiders - kidnapped and killed Shmi Skywalker, Anakin’s mother. Although it was Anakin’s choice to get revenge, he wouldn’t have made that choice if they didn’t kill his mother.
  • Count Dooku - he already betrayed the Jedi and became a Sith. And he started the Separatist Movement, which was another step in the Republic’s fall. As for what he did to Anakin, he gave him another opportunity for revenge.
  • Mace Windu - this is my biggest culprit on who to blame for the fall of the Jedi and the rise of the Empire. He has been cold towards Anakin Skywalker from the very beginning, and he was harsh towards others. He also staged Palpatine’s arrest without due process, essentially threatening democracy and violating the Jedi Code. When he battled Palpatine, Anakin was given a choice. Either he protects the Republic and the Jedi, or he saves his friend and father figure. Because of how harsh Windu was to Anakin, this resulted in him making the wrong choice.

I think you were scared because it was the full end credits, which have never been seen on any episode on the main Nickelodeon channel since around 2003 or so when split credits became a thing. As you're encountering something you're not used to seeing all the time, the music can possibly give you chills that way. As for me, the end credits music is a classic. Too bad they haven't used the full version in an actual episode since Season 2.

Speaking of getting scared, I somehow remember watching on Nickelodeon, as a kid, the opening intro of one episode that was very weird and scaring me, though it may be a false memory - All I remember from this so-called "false" intro was Painty the Pirate looking like a crazy hillbilly, talking in a weird voice, and when the camera sank into Bikini Bottom, Patrick's house was shown instead of SpongeBob's. Patrick came out of his rock as he normally does, then suddenly a record scratch. SpongeBob appeared from the right, had a quick conversation with Patrick to point out that the theme song is incorrect, and Patrick becoming slightly upset. After this short exchange is over, the episode's title card came up and the episode played as usual.

I went through every episode from Seasons 1 through 6, and couldn't find anything remotely close to what I described. The only episode I could find (ignoring "Christmas Who?" and "Truth or Square") with a unique intro was Season 5's "Whatever Happened to SpongeBob?", where all the SpongeBob SquarePants text was replaced with "WhoBob WhatPants" and the kids and Painty singing the same thing:

This is the one weird memory I remember having, though I have not been able to come across what I previously saw only once as a kid...

I watched SpongeBob on a DVD from the local library once and that was my first time hearing the credits music which I definitely found unsettling.

Fridge logic is when you think about something and realize it makes no sense, like it goes against continuity or is completely unrealistic (coined by Alfred Hitchcock. He said that once you go to grab a beer after watching a specific scene in the movie Vertigo, you’ll only then realize that it didn’t make any sense). Like, how are there normal animals existing alongside anthropomorphic animals in AC?

Fridge horror is when something becomes a lot more horrifying or disturbing after thinking about it. For example… who’s getting milked in AC? Milk exists in the series… so where does it come from?

Fridge brilliance is when something doesn’t make much sense at first, but then you think about it more and realize it kind of does. Usually, it’s in a way the author never intended. Here’s an example: why is Avengers: Endgame called “Endgame?” Because an endgame in chess is a situation where there’s only a few pieces left to use.

Finally, fridge sadness is when something seems a lot sadder if you give it thought. This is the only one I had no idea existed until recently. I think it’s the least common.

Why is it considered a bad thing if a lackluster game from a big video game series is a commercial success? I remember when pointing out that Sword/Shield was the best selling Pokémon games of the 21st century, someone told me that this is sad news.

i don’t know if i like the age im turning this year.. sounds old and serious 😬

Tucker Carlson's Putin interview may well become the most-watched video of recent history. Having watched the whole thing myself and observed how the western mainstream media is reporting on it (or avoiding it, in many cases) is fascninating. Did independant media really just topple the mainstream? I won't remark on the content myself here, other than to say there's not going to be another World War. I am certain of that and glad of it. I also hope the western media will stop trying to scare everyone with that now, but doubtful.

Russell Brand did a very good (and very hopeful) video, which I watched a few hours before the Putin interview, about how mainstream western media is behaving right now. He covered everything from controlled narratives, demonising or cancelling the inconvenient voices and voices of change, to not listening to the other side and not being allowed to make our own minds up. I agree on that.

I'm sure these topics will plague my Random Thoughts for a while, but this is the last I will share on this here I think. All needs some time to process. And make my own mind up.

I’m actually getting tired of waiting for new n64 games for Nintendo Switch Online (or any announcement of any new games for NSO). I waited for far too long. All I want to know is if they ever will release DK64 on Nintendo Switch Online. And despite rumors, I don’t know if any new Nintendo Direct will occur this month.

Though I do remember from an early datamine, there’s a total of 38 games planned for the N64 app. I don’t know what they are, but since we now have 29 games, there aren’t much left. But there are even fewer first party and Rare games missing than games left.

Only just realizing that every main series Pokémon game has was on a handheld (GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, DS, 3DS, and Switch).
