“The Splinter” is one episode I would love to forget about entirely. After seeing it for the first time, I never wanted to look at it again. When cartoon episodes make injuries look grotesque and realistic, it turns me off from a second viewing. While “House Fancy” is an alright episode to me (and I usually like Squilliam’s appearances anyway), I look away from that toenail scene as it also grosses me out to no end. There’s even redness that resembles blood. Eugh. The first horrible episode of the show was The Splinter. Look, I can kind of handle gross out, but this is SpongeBob. The cute sea cartoon kids tend to watch. I think with episodes like this and One Coarse Meal, they forgot about that part. At first, the splinter looks normal, but it just gets more and more swollen, and more and more disgusting, and very realistic, until it reaches its zenith. And when it seems like it’s over and Mr. Krabs removes it, pus sprays all over him until SpongeBob’s thumb is back to normal. And it’s not even the worst episode of the season. That would probably be Boating Buddies.
I actually preferred when the teacher picked. As someone who didn't have any friends in their classes while everyone else was part of some clique, I'd be the one awkwardly sitting there. Ideally I'd work alone, but if groups were required I would always rather the teacher assign the groups. I don't think I had an instance where I had to work with someone who outwardly disliked me, but I always did feel awkward getting placed into a group by a teacher after everyone had already chosen their assigned groups. I always felt like I was included because I had to be and not because they wanted me there.I’m okay with group projects when I get to pick who it’s with. I can still do it if the teacher picks. But the second I get placed in a group where I’m the only person that does work, I’m out. Or, I would be, but I kind of don’t have a choice. At that point, I’m really the only person that deserves to get a grade on it.
I was just hugging you back for hugging me in the WBY thread obvsI think the new hug reaction will be useful for the "What's bothering you?" thread to show you care about other members and their struggles instead of using the "Like" reaction on their posts which feels misleading but I really wish people would stop using the hug reaction on my posts but I don't think that's gonna stop anytime soon so whatever.
EDIT: Bruh oak
I didn't hug you in the what's bothering you thread, I haven't even used the hug reaction on anybody yetI was just hugging you back for hugging me in the WBY thread obvs
Whoops I must have read it wrong. I can un-hug your post if you want!I didn't hug you in the what's bothering you thread, I haven't even used the hug reaction on anybody yet
I think you were scared because it was the full end credits, which have never been seen on any episode on the main Nickelodeon channel since around 2003 or so when split credits became a thing. As you're encountering something you're not used to seeing all the time, the music can possibly give you chills that way. As for me, the end credits music is a classic. Too bad they haven't used the full version in an actual episode since Season 2.I usually found myself watching SpongeBob at night because on Nick’s main channel at night, they aired… shows rated TV-PG . So when it was night, I don’t know why then specifically, I would have to go to a different Nick channel where they did air them at night. If it wasn’t that, it was probably because I used the record feature and watched them at night with my brother when there was nothing else. Okay, what’s the point of all of this? Well, for some reason, I rarely ever ended up actually seeing the credits for episodes. The most exposure I had to the song that plays during the credits was whenever an episode used it as a background track. Because I didn’t hear it that much, it kind of scared me when I did hear it, because that would usually be when I was going to sleep. No idea why. I think I explained this in the worst way possible.
Also, I reconsidered it, and while Sponge-Cano! isn’t one of my favorites, I still like it.
