Ad block on desktop and dual ad blockers on iPhone Safari does wonders for me on the website. I don't use YouTube's app, and they don't deserve my subscription money, honestly. They've got enough as it is. However, when it comes to content creators that don't tell you to "subscribe" every 20 seconds or use those infamous red arrows and circles on thumbnails, then they can have my ad money.
By the way, if you're using Chrome on a computer, I highly recommend this free web store app that essentially turns YouTube from a clickbait mess to something more tolerable. It's even got options to completely block unrelated videos you've previously watched from appearing in search results. Give it a try if you're able.
I don't know why I'm suddenly having random thoughts of good friends I last regularly hung out with over five years ago. Yes, I still miss some of them, but this phase really shouldn't be happening right now. I'm still considering myself a "lone wolf" when it comes to my real life social status, but I'll definitely have to start talking to a therapist as this constant loneliness is killing me.

First, let’s start with Mario’s. In Brawl and Smash 4, he had a costume based on Fire Mario. Which makes a lot of sense. But then they replaced it with either Builder Mario or Wedding Mario. Which are cool costumes, but what about Mario’s Waluigi alt? Luigi has one and it makes way more sense for him to have it than Mario, so why replace a costume that actually makes sense? Also, Mario should have an alt based on Metal Mario from Mario 64. As for Luigi, he should have a costume based off Mr. L. That can replace his cyan alt since it’s not even a reference to anything.
Next, we have Yoshi. They replaced his black Yoshi costume, which was his best one, with a Crafted Yoshi costume. I know the game was about to come out, but still. Black Yoshi deserved better.
Kirby’s costumes are also super underwhelming. Unlike most of the others I listed, it’s not just an Ultimate thing, his costumes were always just based off his colors from when he uses a Copy Ability in Kirby Super Star (or Keeby from Kirby’s Dream Course). But only the colors, and not the hats he wears. I think he should have some alts where he wears a different hat. When he gets a copy ability, he’d just remove the hat. Like, imagine that instead, Kirby’s light blue alt had him also wearing his Ice Crown when he gets that ability. Or his Fire Crown.
Pikachu should have better references. The party hat one can stay, but I feel like they could reference more Gen 1 Pokémon. Or his own evolution line, like Raichu the superior Pokémon. They should leave the references to later gens to Pokémon from those generations.
Bowser’s darker alt looks like a reference to Dark Bowser, right? Wrong. It’s based on Bowser’s brother from Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels. Why? Who actually likes that game? Even I didn’t know that Bowser’s brother existed until yesterday. Yes, I didn’t know. You know, the person that normally has knowledge on random trivial Mario facts, like that Star Bits taste like honey. There’s actually a lot more Mario RPG characters that could be represented through Bowser’s alts, like Dreamy Bowser, or an alt based on his appearance in Paper Mario.
Pokémon Trainer should also have all of their alts represent other Kanto characters, but if they want to represent characters from other regions, they either add a trainer for that region, or represent them using Pokémon from that region, like I said above.
Look, I don’t normally care about Mega Man, but he still deserves bette than this. There’s a lot of Robot Masters that could be represented through him, but instead they chose these.
There are some characters where it’s just unfair. Cloud, Sonic, and Pac Man barely even have alts. Almost all of Cloud’s are the exact same, Pac Man’s just change his bands and shoes, and Sonic’s are mostly references that go against what you’d think his costumes should be. Like, you’d expect Sonic’s black alt to be a reference to Shadow, right? No. It’s a reference to Dark Sonic from Sonic X, who I think only appears in one episode. There’s a reference to Silver and Classic Sonic, but what about Tails? Or Knuckles? Or Amy? With the others, I think it’s copyright issues with Square Enix and Capcom, but Bayonetta is owned by Sega and actually has respectable alts, so what’s Sonic’s excuse?
It might be because Nintendo owns the rights to publishing Bayonetta games, but still.
Finally, Isabelle should really have more references to special characters. At the very least, Digby deserves a shout out. It makes sense why Villager doesn’t have any, considering his alts are supposed to be based on Wild World and City Folk player characters, but Isabelle should reference characters who will most likely not get into Smash, like the Able Sisters.
Altogether, there’s a lot of pretty confusing choices for costumes, whether it’s cutting old ones for some reason, or not adding ones that should be there, or the amount of costumes not based on characters. Like Pyra and Mythra having a costume that’s just their normal colors but more saturated rather than having Nia and Rex.
"...violate Terms of Service"; lol what a joke. I don't even make money from the few videos I upload myself.
After looking through my extensions, I also have this alongside my ABP and uBlock Origin. Triple blockers essentially. Seems like a lot to bypass this, but it's what I gotta do. Funny how YouTube claims that ad blockers violate their terms of service, but they allow blockers to be put up on the Google Chrome store.
Texting my best mate and just realised I still have her down as her maiden name on my phone. Bizarre that it took me 5 months to notice. I literally had a conversation with her in the pub a month back where she told me about how she was consistently signing the wrong surname on work documents out of habit.
Oh, and never in my life did I ever think I'd utter the words, "If you squash that axolotl you're sleeping on the couch!" Yet an hour ago I shouted it as someone was leaving the room. God life is fun. (Clay axolotl. Our real axies are not at risk of harm.)
Somewhat related, but I still have numbers of old friends from high school who I never talk to anymore on my contacts list. It'd be very weird and uncomfortable for them to randomly receive a text from me saying "hi wassup", so they're just sitting there unused.
As for old co-workers, I had contacts from all the way back to when I had my first job in 2016 up until last year, when I finally deleted them. I feel somewhat hesitant to delete the old friends' numbers, even though I know for a fact that they've moved on and I have to do the same.
I still cannot find my clay- which is kinda annoying, as it is also a major part of my egg decorating and then I would have only one idea to do and see if its perfect.
I swear my mum put the clay in a plastix the last time I used it (haha, actually the last time we had an egg decrating event) Im gonna have to go through my room once again ;_:
