I'm sad that the second half of my statement was the one that came true.

Mike Tyson had the same issue many older guys in combat sports do. They freeze in place. I'm guessing reflexes just don't keep up at a certain point and the answer is to reflectively shell up.

It was uncomfortable and deflating to watch. I only did it because my family was excited for it. Not looking forward to Jake Paul bragging about his decision win over an old man who didn't have much left.
Yeah,Mike didn't have a lot left when he retired back in 2005 and this is nineteen years later. We can all do the math I suppose.I watched Mike Tyson fight throughout most of his career and at one point he was one of the best fighters I had ever seen.I think the fame and money got to him and he fired the management team and trainers that helped him succeed and hired a bunch of lackeys to replace them and his career spiraled downward after that.

I want to see more politics from New Zealand now.
Awesome! This traditional chant was done to protest a bill that wouldn’t protect the Māori people. I think the lady who led it is only 21? Also, I saw a version of it from the beginning where they showed the racist old white man’s face. His unease around the cultural display was oddly satisfying— like something out of a movie.

Nothing crueler than the passage of time either. Tyson at 58 years old was fighting far beyond when the biological clock shuts fighters off.

I'm not going to say Jake Paul is a bad boxer, but his career is a gimmick and his skill doesn't matter because he isn't taking on real contenders or going for a belt. He usually cherry picks retired and damaged fighters from the UFC and finishes then off. (Fighting Anderson Silva in 2022? Really)?

He has brought more attention to boxing again, but in the grand scheme of things, he won't be known for his dominance given the context of these fights.

I saw this as a little kid in a horror movie and it made me hate Alvin and the Chipmunks. (the chipmunks start eating and killing the main characters).

It's called The Disaster Movie and it sucks. Looking back now I could totally understand why I was scared. Although the movie is a joke. Look at these wonderful reviews.

This has some Winnie the Pooh horror movie vibes and I can't unsee this now.

Yeah,I don't consider Jake Paul to be a real fighter. He didn't come up through the ranks fighting real fights against relevant opponents.Floyd Mayweather did kind of the same thing(cherry picking opponents)towards the end of his career but at least he had already fought a lot of real boxers before that. Not long ago I read an article where Canelo Alvarez(considered by many to be the current best fighter in the world)was asked about Jake Paul and Canelo said that he liked what Paul was doing and might even fight Paul after he retires.Canelo is a fairly shrewd businessman and I think he was eyeing a big payday for an easy fight.

My future election predictions:

For the rest of the decade, the minority party in the House will have at minimum 200 seats, and the minority party in the Senate will have at minimum 45 seats, just like the first half of the decade.

The reason why the majority party will have narrow control of the House is because of the lack of competitive districts, thanks to gerrymandering. The seats that will always go red or always go blue have gotten greater in numbers, while the other districts are very unlikely to flip if the incumbent representative is popular enough.

As for the Senate, the next two Senate elections focus on classes that the Republicans are more dominant in. The problem here is that the seats the Class 2 senators (up for re-election in 2026) and the Class 3 senators (up for re-election in 2028) are primarily in “safe democrat” or “safe republican” states, which means very few seats will flip (which is especially true for 2026). The most likely seats that will flip in 2026 are Maine, Georgia, and North Carolina, while the seats that will most likely flip in 2028 are Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia. At their best, the Republicans can take back Georgia, but that will only be a one-seat gain. They could flip four more in 2028, but they’re very likely going to lose some of these senate elections in 2028 given that Trump does another atrocious job. At their worst, they would lose control of the Senate by the end of the decade, but even they will still have at least 45 seats. They could screw up with candidate quality again and lose more, but it’s highly unlikely.

Basically speaking, competitive states and competitive districts are fewer in numbers this decade, and people have taken voting more seriously since Trump got elected and since Roe v Wade got overturned.

Miss Universe is on tonight! 🎉 I don’t normally watch beauty pageants, but I usually catch up on this one since so many different countries and cultures are represented.

I can't sleep because my head is currently giving me too many ideas for my story, compare to what happens during the day..dust.

Hate at first sight instead of Love at first sight.

I was up pretty much all night coming up with ways these two characters I just came up with will meet.

..And it's over a box of cereal at the local convenience store, at age 8-11 years old. I haven't landed on an age yet.

This little backstory was fun to write, as soon as I start it. lol

To those who get warnings:

Does Resetti still pop up? I remember when I received infractions during the vBulletin Era, I get a private message from Resetti, telling me that I broke the rules. I also remember that when the servers are so bad that the forum had to go down, Resetti also pops up (which is an allusion to what happens when the wi-fi shuts off during the game).

Yeah, I have. It’s been a while though.
