mam.... youre irish too arent you hahaI was out food shopping with my mam earlier, and when we were walking along the aisles we saw these salt grinders/cellars that were "pyramid salt". Basically just salt crystals in the shape of pyramids. It's a bit ridiculous though because as soon as you go to put some salt on your food, you're grinding the salt and it's no longer in a pyramid shape. It was also more expensive than regular salt so like what's the point?
To be fancy and show off in front of guests? You’d be surprised how many fancy salts and spices there are to be used as some sort of decoration or display piece for food out there. Take the pink Himalayan salt for example. It’s supposed to be put on top of food to look fancy and expensive but what does it matter when it’s currently being slowly dissolved by the food itself?
