Oof, hopefully this winter storm won't be too bad. It hasn't quite started yet where I am at, but what the weather people predicted doesn't sound good.
I've been dealing with sinus headaches since yesterday morning. I don't have any respiratory symptoms, so I assume it is weather related. It's definitely worse when I go outside. I dunno.
I'm just glad the holidays are over.

There is so much I want to do but my focus and energy is so bad. 😓 I did try to look for medicine to help with focus years back but they all either affected my mood, sleep or something else. Either way, what I feel like doing and my interests change a lot and is really unpredictable. One period I’ll hyperfixate on one thing but a few months or less later I get distracted by something else and move on to that.

Right now, I still got some art I want to do on too of the Draw the User Above me request.

I’m also starting to want to write a little fan fiction, maybe.

I want to continue Persona 5, go back to my second island and island journal.

I also have the new games that I got for Christmas.

On top of this, time management is always a struggle for me too.

My mom just showed me a video on Facebook, the A.I. woman voice actually mispronounced, "microwave", of all words, she said, "mee-kro-wah-veh". We laughed hard at this ridiculous mispronounciation!

A.I. should be referred to as, "artificial unintelligence", or, "A.U.", due to this...
Funny enough, fanfiction writers do use the term, "A.U.", for alternate universes in fictional media.

why does psych season 3 have so many gay jokes... they're not even offensive, it's just the punchline at least once every episode... it's so noticable while bingewatching 😭
Like a week ago I began watching season one. Haven't gotten to season three yet. I'm happy to find people here have watched the show recently.

Thoughts on last night’s Drag Race premiere:

—Joella had my favorite entrance look. I even rewinded to watch it again! Love all the traditional Chinese elements.

—Kori King may be Plane Jane’s drag sister and “two sides of the same shady coin” but I like her better than Plane.

—Two Southern queens— Sam Star and Hormona Lisa. Love their accents! I’ve also followed Hormona long before the cast was announced and enjoy her aesthetic.

—Katy Perry as a guest judge, really? Also “she ate, she chewed, she swallowed” was redundant…eating IS chewing and swallowing lol.

—I have a lot of favorites, but my number 1 favorite queen is Suzie Toot. I love the ones who have a vintage aesthetic, and she can tap dance!

—I didn’t think Acacia’s talent show was bad…but I guess someone has to be in the bottom.

Idk…these are my thoughts so far. They are subject to change as the series progresses.
I don't like Jane at all but do like Kori so far. My favorite so far is Lexi.

so I have a touch lamp on my side table next to my bed, and my cat Ash has apparently learned how to use it to wake me up. he knows that if he bumps the lampshade with his nose, it'll turn on and I'll wake up. the first time I thought it was an accident, but he's done it about 3-4 times now, so I don't think it's a coincidence anymore 😂
Cats are something else! Lol

I went bowling yesterday and found it difficult to do with my left hand.

Although I'm left handed for all other tasks.

I tried right and it wasn't much better. I got 3rd out of 4th place in the first game and 4th out of 4th on the second game.

Having the everything bagel seasoning in its own container is... Almost better than trying to find the everything bagels. Those always seem to be missing from the store for some reason. Maybe they are popular in my particular area?
And, with it being in a bottle, you can use it on other things beyond bagels. Unfortunately it cannot substitute the everything bagel's bread having sunflower seeds mixed into it.
Some people use the everything bagel seasoning on ramen noodles with sesame seed oil. I don't have that oil, but I will probably try the topping on noodles sometime. Will probably have to use a dab butter or something to get it to stick though.

Huh. I use my left hand for basically everything, including bowling (I'm just bad at bowling, hehe). What I find is that I use cutlery the same way as all the right handed people I know, and (when I was still doing it) played guitar with my right hand as well. Is this definitely the only thing you find difficult with your left hand, or favour the right hand in?

I think this was the first thing I've ever found difficult with my left hand.

When doing Archery I don't remember having a preference, but went right handed because I'm right eye dominant.

It might be the same issue for bowling. Being left handed but being right eye dominant makes visualization of the lane different and it's more comfortable switching to my non dominant hand.

The other day I amused myself by typing non-Japanese celebrities’ names into Google Translate and seeing what they are in Japanese (Or, more likely, how they are pronounced):

Lucy Lawless= Rūshī rōresu

Britney Spears= Buritonī Supiazu

Dolly Parton= Dori Paton

Dorothy Dandridge= Doroshī dandorijji

Judy Garland= Judi Garando

Chappell Roan= Chaperurōn (No idea how it made her name into one word, but I guess that’s it.)

Salma Hayek= Saruma haekku

Sal Vulcano= Saru Vurukano

Peter Lorre= Pītā Rore

Arnold Schwarzenegger= Ānorudo shuwarutsu~eneggā

Andre the Giant= Andore za jaianto

Javier Bardem= Habieru barudemu

Gabriel Iglesias= Gaburieru igureshiasu

Dwayne Johnson= Dō~ein Jonson

Any others I should try?

I was showing my brother how to block Scholars Mate.

If anyone else here plays chess and needs help, I made an example board.

Queen can take the central pawn, so you never want to move the knight here immediately. (I'll also show another reason why).

Queen and Bishop threaten checkmate on this pawn.

Move pawn up one space to attack the queen. Forcing it to retreat up the board.

That's the general idea. That left knight doesn't want to be out because you still deal with the queen taking central pawn and forcing check. The right sided knight wants to come out to defend the central pawn.

Ideally you should end up with a defensive set up like this. White can't take the central pawn, can't force checkmate, and usually runs back up the board putting them behind.

@ShawnFuzz If you get back into chess as you were mentioning, you might eventually find this helpful.

Of course, the queen can still threaten checkmate from above, but then the left knight comes out and it's very easily defended.

Words can never describe how good it feels to be back on Amtrak, home sweet home for the next 35 hours. And then another one after that for 61+ hours, and a third a couple days after that for 52 hours... And somehow to me that's still not enough time on board!
